I like your fee model OP. The .8% one is surely tempting since it is still no-kyc at the end of the day.
Is ETH still supported? I see it in the ANN but not on the website. Maybe temporarily unavailable as you replenish your reserve?
Lastly, do we have to send the exact amount we entered or we can send anything within minimum or maximum and it will be automatically recalculated? I've used exch a lot in the past and this feature was very handy.

Running a privacy no KYC exchange nowadays is not easy with more regulations from governments that mostly want to shut down privacy exchanges. So the 0.8% fee is quite competitive fee rate from DEX.fo and if they can maintain this competitive fee rate in a long time, their exchange will become very attractive and more people will join DEX.fo as their loyal users. Is ETH still supported? I see it in the ANN but not on the website. Maybe temporarily unavailable as you replenish your reserve?
Likely it is temporary off but ETH will be resumed available for users soon because I notice that they still support ERC20 chain with DAI ERC-20 and USDT ERC-20. If they support these stable coins on ERC-20, it makes sense to support Ethereum, the native currency of ERC-20 chain.

If you are using a peer-to-peer Bitcoin-FIAT-Bitcoin exchange for example you can expect to pay a fee/margin of anywhere between 2 and 12% depending on the market conditions so a 0.8% fee for a crypto-Bitcoin-crypto exchange is very low. Also DEX is running a service, and they aint doing it for the good of their health, its a business and needs to make a profit after covering costs.

I hope so. I've been using more ETH for my daily spending especially since the network fee is so much lower than before since the upgrade. I'll surely try this exchange on my next one when I need it. ...and yea IMO 0.8% fee is definitely a small price to pay for a privacy focussed transaction.

Offers on privacy focused true p2p exchanges can be steep. But I think it is more in line to compare them with their fellow crypto to crypto instant exchanges. I usually see around 1% to 3%—can depend on the pair and trade mode/type as well. Although the 0.8% is not coming from their personal reserves, some folks who are not in a hurry may not mind it since it is still kyc-free.

@Potato Chips Thank you for the kind words and great questions!
Regarding ETH — currently we support ERC-20 network with DAI and USDT. Native ETH pairs are coming soon. We are also planning to add USDC on ERC-20 and Solana in the near future. Will announce here as they go live.
Regarding sending more than specified — please send the exact amount shown on the website. We are working on adding flexible amount support in a future update.
USDC on ERC-20, native ETH and SOL are actively on our roadmap.
@dzungmobile Thank you for the accurate explanation and for supporting the community. 0.8% for a no-KYC privacy exchange is very competitive and we intend to keep it this way long term.
@aoluain Thank you for the great context. Comparing to P2P FIAT exchanges where fees can reach 12% — 0.8% is indeed very accessible. We built DEX.fo to make privacy affordable for everyone.

Commissions - nice, limits - nice, zero AML - nice, choice between fast and cheap - nice. GUI is ok, everything simple to understand. Need more coins, more networks. For me first of all must be SOL and BNB(with it`s network). I see that it is on roadmap, just noticed what i want to add. It is just beginning. For start it is good. Waiting for updates.

The swap fee as 0.8% is actually very competitive especially in comparison with other no-KYC exchanges. Because with more regulations on this branch no-KYC exchange industry from governments, surely the exchange owners and the team have to afford more risk for their business operations. So usually such no-KYC exchanges charge higher and more expensive swap fees than Centralized Exchanges with KYC on users. So far so good, from your service structures, development strategy and operations, let's keep it up and make DEX.fo bigger and more reputable over time.

I would not hesitate to pay 1% since it’s no KYC anyway, and they said they’re planning to make this a long-term service, which means we can keep enjoying this kind of option, especially for those who really want to maintain their privacy. That 1% is not really that big for every transaction. It’s actually good to see DEX platforms starting to become more popular here, because if I remember correctly, there are still only a few of them in the forum.

I'm looking forward to testing the platform this coming weekend. Actually, it's cheaper than our local exchanges, and I can save a lot by transacting in large amounts. It's good that they launched a marketing campaign here. People are looking for a reliable DEX to trade. If this is a long-term project, then the community can enjoy a fair deal.

Yeah, that’s already very cheap, and it’s certainly fair to call it quite competitive. After all, some other DEXs charge even more than 1%. Although there are a few that also charge 0.8%. And the DEX itself seems to be constantly working to improve all its services. I also appreciate how actively they respond to every piece of feedback and suggestion from user reviews here from those who’ve tried their service. Personally, I’m still waiting for the addition of some new chain, such as Ethereum’s Layer 2 solutions like Arbitrum or others chain like Aptos, which generally have lower transaction fees.

In fact, eXch did not last for 11 years. The domain was 11 years old and at some point it was bought to start eXch (Privacy Service), which lasted for less than 3 years.

Do you know what kind of data was seized by the police from the eXch exchanger, 8 terabytes in size, from your video?

📢 Update
We have implemented automatic recalculation for exchange amounts.
If you send more than the amount specified in your order — the exchange will automatically recalculate and process the full amount you sent at the same rate.
No need to send the exact amount. No need to contact support. Everything is handled automatically.
Just like eXch did it.
@mak013 Thank you for the detailed feedback!
SOL is actively on our roadmap. Regarding BNB and BEP20 — we are evaluating this network and will announce updates here. We appreciate the suggestion.
@dzungmobile Thank you for the kind words and for supporting the community. We intend to keep our fees competitive and transparent long term. 0.8% is something we are proud of and plan to maintain.
@Sanitough Thank you! We are here for the long term. Privacy should be accessible to everyone and we intend to keep it that way. Welcome to DEX.fo.
@aioc Looking forward to your test! We are here if you have any questions during or after your exchange. Feel free to reach out via SimpleX.
@Jatiluhung Thank you for the suggestion. Arbitrum and other Layer 2 solutions are on our radar. We will prioritize based on community demand and technical feasibility.
@hugeblack Thank you for the correction.
You are right about the timeline. The domain was registered 11 years ago but eXch as a privacy exchange operated for a shorter period.
In our video we referenced the domain age as a way to show the history and roots of the project behind eXch. We understand this may have been unclear and will add a clarification in the video description.
We appreciate the attention to detail — this is exactly the kind of feedback that helps us improve.

@FP91G According to official reports the seized data included transaction logs, server infrastructure, communication records and operational files. The exact contents were not fully disclosed by German authorities.
This is exactly why at DEX.fo we store no logs, no user data and no transaction history. If authorities come — there is simply nothing to take.

I'm impressed by how proactive the team are, just like they stated, they are actively following the conversation here and implementing every single recommendation dropped here, this means that they mean business and understand the competition in the industry. At this pace, I'm confident that DEX.fo will become a choice exchange soon given their advantages they have over others such as the low fees, multiple coins and the privacy they hold as a treasure.

Brilliant updates and comprehensive response.
While viewing the exchange on my smartphone I thought it would be a nice bit of information to have the SYSTEM STATUS shown across the top of the page just under the header instead of hidden from initial view in the side menu so as soon as a visitor to the exchange hits the main page they see the status, I made a mock up below....just a thought.

Today I tested the site a little. I really like the idea of this privacy focused DEX. The privacy concerns we have are completely absent here. No KYC, no logs, no analytics, Tor support, everything we need to stay anonymous is here Their interface is so nice, not cluttered and very easy to use. If I talk about theme it has a built in dark mode which is very user friendly for working in dark. But it would have been a little better if we could switch both dark and light theme And what caught my eye was refund address section. Many users may get confused about why we have to provide refund address before swapping coins. So it would be good if you add a small tooltip or a simple explanation above the refund address section

And what caught my eye was refund address section. Many users may get confused about why we have to provide refund address before swapping coins. So it would be good if you add a small tooltip or a simple explanation above the refund address section Before adding the latest update about recalculation of exchanged amount, users might send more or less than the amount they set when filling the request.I think the refund address was required to refund the incorrect amount after deducting the network fee within 24 hours. Now after implementing the auto recalculation feature, I think there is no need for the refund process anymore. I have also thought about deposits coming from flagged addresses. OP might explain how to treat those deposits so that the DEX would't turn to be a mixer for fraudulent activities. A refund process can be understood in this case. Please explain.

So it would be good if you add a small tooltip or a simple explanation above the refund address section I think there is nothing confusing about a refund address. Are you saying the confusion will come based on it came even before exchanging or some people will not know its use. As the name implies, a refund address is used to return your coins incase things didn't go well. It is not something new that needs to be explained to people. Although, in the worse scenario, even if it is skipped, swapping will still happen. That is why it is optional.
