I was not here when a third altcoin ever was created so I truly did not know about it but the Coinmarketcap's cryptocurrency historical snapshots in 2013 show me something different than your information.

Just because it wasn't on CMC doesn't mean it didn't exist back then.

Honestly, I did not check the IXC announcement thread and its creation day when posted my post above, but I am still curious about the missing of IXC coin the April 2013 snapshot on Coinmarketcap and I think if IXC coin is a third coin ever, it should be in the snapshot. Otherwise, Coinmarketcap did bad job with their snapshot page.

Anyway getting back on topic here. Yes I support Vlad2vlad making a comeback as Vlad has had a tough few years and was going through a personal grieving process after the loss of his brother when he was banned and he was just being erratic due to this because if you go right back to his early days here he was always cordial and well mannered and he also honoured a bet on this forum where many others would have ran like rats.

That in itself isn't ban-able behavior. He was off to a good start with his first post and then got sandbagged by posts with wrong information. Sure, its easy to attack him based on his former reputation, and he's not the easiest guy to get along with.

But he didn't venture out much from his usual threads, and if the ban was for multiple posting or something like that, I would ask the mods to consider giving him one more chance, as its been several years already.

As far as the BSV shill thing is concerned: I'm reminded of a high school history lesson about the reconstruction of the South after the US Civil War.

BSV has been shelled and torched multiple times over, its troops have disbanded, and its president has gone into hiding. It is a shadow of its former self, and the goal is no longer victory.

The new goal is reintegration of BSV citizenry into a productive union. This won't be accomplished by continuing to punish and chastise the losers. And I don't just apply this mindset to Vlad.

You're too obsessed with the past - they both got a pretty decent number of merits considering their profiles have been inactive for 10+ years. The focus should be on active and living members of the community. After all, why are you so obsessed with something that is just a number in someone's profile?

C'mon man, he's just defending himself from poorly researched allegations. People have always been free to send merit to whomever they want. Its not like he's farming multiple accounts for signature campaigns, which happens every hour of every day on this forum. What Vlad does is genuine and of his own free will, outside the norm for about 80% of active Bitcointalk accounts.

Hello, my account Vlad2Vlad was banned ~4 years ago.  I'm a Legendary member, and I had some extremely unfortunate events happen in my life which caused my behavior to be somewhat erratic which led to me being banned.  

After nearly half a decade I'm requesting (for the first time) that you lift the ban.  As a project leader and voice of a community for over a decade, members of bitcointalk have been asking me to return so I am trying to do so. I sincerely apologize for the inconvenience, and the people I most definitely agitated.

That's quite poetic. Moving, really. Who are we to deny man of their right to the illusion of riches?

Usually the kind of accounts that request (and sometimes receive) an unbanning jump straight back into their role as a robotic signature stamper, next to their other accounts. Their ban appeal threads will never garner even 1/4th of the support that Vlad has received. This is because Vlad is an actual person with an actual personality. I hope the forum takes this into consideration before making a final decision on this matter.

Well, there's no defined SLA to respond to ban appeals. Very likely your case is also not any top priority for Bitcointalk administration. So, I guess you have to be patient. Maybe it's also kind of a litmus test to make you wait and see how you react and if you turn "sour" and unhealthy for the forum, though I doubt this.

Vlad2Vlad got banned because this account broke forum rules (very likely). You claim to be the owner of Vlad2Vlad's account and you continued to break forum rules, even when it weren't those that would get an account banned if breaking them. Do you really expect an official answer quickly on such premisses?

Your email might've been sent from the email account that Vlad2Vlad used to register his account, but I've to speculate on this and this isn't solid evidence that you are actually the owner of Vlad2Vlad's account. It could be another reason nobody sees an urge to respond to your ban appeal because you haven't provided any solid evidence besides publicly known stuff of Vlad2Vlad's vendetta with MicroGuy.

I'm not terribly familiar with the ban appeal process, but I would assume that an appealant should provide reasonable evidence they're the owner of the account they want to get unbanned. You dropped a few names and such, but to me this doesn't look like solid evidence. YMMV...

So, why should forum administration jump quickly or at all to your rescue?

I am not entirely sure what you are saying here, (it appears to have something to do with some kind of altcoin). But something tells me that this is not helping your case of getting unbanned from bitcointalk.

If you are permanently banned, BPIP would show your account as Archived.

I don't think this is right. Only bans that are handed out in a very specific way will show up on the modlog. I believe these are the more high-volume bans, such as making high-volume, low-effort posts, spam-posting links, lower-level members making egregious rule violations, etc. I think a legendary member with 13k posts getting banned would be an admin decision that is processed differently.

I don't know the OP, and I am not sure of the details of why he was banned, or how egregious his rule violations were. And TBH, I am not a fan of the what appears to be shilling for some kind of altcoin, however with that being said, in general I would encourage considering if a lessor punishment would be appropriate in order to avoid remving a legendary member from our community.
