Phenomena that we see in these AI booming phase are very normal, new technology adaptation always creating wow effect, high expectation, fast adoption and overuse, especially for content maker purpose (video, image, text) or creative automation. But trust me it will be followed by saturation phase especially when there are too much AI content with low quality and when there are many bad effect on society because difficult to distiguish between real and fake. Many people who previously enjoyed AI as market will show fatigue with distrust, disinterest and try to find more authentic.

Fatigue not always followed by fade completely of AI but low quality will loose value. What will be survive are usefull AI which improve productivity and integrated to real system, its will become stranger and more visible. For near future, i think people will become bored, tired of AI content and strat seeking quality, trust and authentic content but other also become more addicted because matter of fact because with AI, easier to make content, AI also makes content consumption easier, make details personalization and dopamin hits faster. Which side are you on? I choose to have ability to filter, conduct verification and has critical thingking because technology always update, upgrade and evolving but our literacy doesn't always keep up.

This is how it will be and how it always was. Think of the professions of a turner or engineer. Previously, turners turned parts exclusively on universal machines, measuring every dimension, but with the advent of CNC technology, the machine began turning parts automatically. As for engineers, they used to draw with pencil and paper on drawing boards, but now they draw designs on computers using CAD systems. And it's not difficult and it's effective. These professions have undergone modernization, and now this has come to designers, artists, programmers, lawyers, attorneys, and many others. But the point is, it happened.

AI is very helpful in some area but at the same time I can't help but believe that AI will burst one day, another part of me thinks that since AI have a big say in data center businesses today so it's going to be here anyways.

AI won't take over like many believes, it's only a matter of time for the world to accept that AI isn't the solution to everything, only some things are very good with AI, just like my favourite phrase that says too much of everything is bad, this concerns AI too.

Humans are already complaining that AI is taking their jobs, but is this really the case? Because you still need humans to direct the so called AI to work too, they only limit the stress from humans side and they make this more snappier.

Let's say you replaced 20 people  and give access to AI to those 20 peoples rules. Still you need to instruct each agent separately what to do. For my concern it's pain in the ass. In my opinion those who is in base level/ Bottom level on thier field they will be replaced by AI.
If I remember correctly there was a time when a people can get hired for just removing the background of a images. Bu those job quoata has been replaced by advanced tools.

For AI it will also like this. Not upgrading yourself with the flow of time is the biggest obstacle for you.

This is why it is not going to work, because while people think that AI is this one being, it is not, it works with prompts and the way you code it, and what I do with mine, could be very different from what you do with yours. And this is what the problem is, because as long as there is humans involved, it can never be perfect, and AI is built by humans, which means that it can never be perfect neither.

This is not some real artificial intelligence, in fact, all we have is literally machine learning, nothing more, it learns from what we feed into it and nothing more. As long as we at that level, I do not think that it will ever become smart enough to help us with anything and it will have a lot of problems on the long run.

We can't deny that AI will coming soon and in some business, companies are integrated their business using AI. This can makes employees losing their job as the company thinks that their cost can be big.

If people wants keeping up their works, they should learns how to use AI so they will have chances to keep working on their company. There is so much Ai bots integration ongoing in almost every sector of the economy, from finance to construction to real estate to trading to gambling and so many other fields. There is even AI tokens already created that investors are already buying into because it is the future of technology.

Yes, but it will make life easier for traders, as AI can easily be used by humans and no emotions are involved, just parameters that we need to set up and then there it is. It can trade 24x7.

So it's not like it's going to be a full replacement.  But AI will be integral part of every trader in the next couple of years as it is quick and fast and even if you are sleeping, if can make money out of you.

Local LLM’s are quite capable lately. If you are worried about openai dependency for your work, you can always buy a mac mini/studio or a gpu pc setup and run your own ai locally. Of course it won’t be as capable as chatgpt/codex but it will definitely deliver a lot. And mind that, local models are also getting better and they provide a serious alternative to the cloud models.

I heard a lot of people trying out local LLM these days like you mentioned, heard some good thing about it like privacy as well. I actually have spend some time looking for a mini PC to run my own AI then it dawned on me that the price for one that can run quite good enough AI is actually pretty high.

Watched some videos about running local LLM and from reddit sub, yeah I'm definitely interested but I'll hold off until companies aren't subsidizing us anymore and the price of RAM is actually decreasing.

There are some good local models lately ilke Qwen3.6-35B-A3B which people can run on their GPU's that have 12-16gb video ram and offload the rest to the system ram.

I can run Qwen3.5-9B (which is also quite capable but way below Qwen3.6) on my macbook air m4 16gb ram laptop but I have to quit every other app since it takes all the ram available.

My point is, you can run a pretty damn good model on a mac mini/studio that has 64gb+ unified ram easily.

Personally I am waiting for the Mac Studio M5 Ultra but if it becomes something shitty or way too expensive, I'll definitely buy something like mini/studio with 64 u-ram...

Another idea is that some people use their cloud subscriptions to create the roadmap/instructions and let the local model to do the actual implementation. It won't save the privacy problem but it might solve the potential high token/subscription price problems in the future.

Either way I think local LLM's are not going anywhere. One way or another I can see us all getting a machine that does the ai computing locally in the future. It is just a matter of when.

A lot of companies are not moving into artificial intelligence because it sounds futuristic, they are doing it because it saves money, speeds things up, and lets them do more with fewer people. That is the part people try to avoid saying out loud, but it is obvious, artificial intelligence is already taking over tasks, cutting roles, and reshaping jobs that used to feel safe.

Companies are about productivity and making profit so their integration into AI is not just about moving with the trend it is mainly about cutting cost and maximizing output which increases profit. So you shouldn't be too comfortable in your job because AI can be a threat to your job security, your boss can decide that AI will take over your desk and get your job done faster without complaining for overtime allowances. Your consulting job can face a tough competition not from other consultants but with AI because what your clients consult you for can be done faster and cheaper with AI.

AI is already replacing jobs and if it is affecting your job then you should be thinking outside the box and finding ways to improve your skills or look for jobs that cannot be replaced by AI yet. Most of such jobs are physical jobs like working on a construction site and being a waiter, who knows maybe one day smart robots will take over those as well. But we shouldn't panic because of AI because there is no way that it can totally eliminate the entire human workforce, because humans will always direct AI no matter the level of their high intelligence.

True, AI is already here, and more than innovation, it starts to replace the people on their respective jobs. But AI also comes with limitations, that only real humans are capable of doing. AI cannot recreate genuine empathy, emotional intelligence, or complex moral judgment, as everything that AI works do not show any feelings or emotions, but only humans excel on that kind of aspect.

AI comes with no perfection. Yes, its already here, but I don't think total replacement is real. AI is only good to enhance our performance , but not to totally replace us as there are things that we can do so much but AI can't.

Yes that's true, the best way to go about artificial intelligence is to learn how to utilize or work with it instead of trying to compete with it, or trying to fight against it. Of course that will be a waste of time because it can not be compeard to human effort or productivity. AI is an advanced technology which needed to be studied and know how it can be profitable to us than kicking against it when we know it is our own reality. When they say advance in technology means adapt to new tech to be relevant in the society. Just as smart phones came out and some people where afraid of using it instead of making judiciously use of it. Those who embrace new tech of android device are making money from it now through social media content and advertisment but if we are so naive to accept it maybe we wouldn't have been seeing the advantage of using it. Everything that has disadvantage also have advantage, it is just for you to work on how you can utilize the advantage part of it.

We will have to adapt sooner or later. Which is to say we'll have to learn new skills that are hard to replace with Ai. Sadly not everyone has the capital or time to do that. I can only say that they have to be creative and works hard, otherwise they won't be able to keep up. Ideally government should prepare for this, but most of the time they're just fighting to get who eats the bigger pie.

As for me, I'm using LLM to help me learn new languages and stuff. I believe content creation is one of the hardest thing to replace although the competition is really hard too. You need a bit of luck, discipline, and so on.

Each week there is a new tool, new model, new framework, new guru that is telling you that unless you are using this particular workflow you are already behind.

And the business aspect of this is not empowerment of workers. It never was. Firms will discuss how AI is democratizing work and lay off half of their support staff in the same quarter. The empowerment lingo is enveloping choices that are solely regarding cost-cutting. When you are not able to see that then you are reading the press releases, rather than the earnings calls.

Entry-level work dissolves, and with it goes a system of initiation: the first exposure to structure, to friction, to collective purpose. In the absence of thresholds, there is no passage. Only a generation released from education into an undefined expanse, absent of markers.

I agree with you on this 100% because if we fail to adapt it now, it will kick us out tomorrow. Artificial intelligence has come to stay and despite they are not perfect yet, they have started kicking some people out of their working places because the employer found it easy and also reduce cost for him, which he has no option rather than to replace them.
