There is always a time in the life of a gambler when it feels like you're being careless with your gambling decisions, every gambler should have experienced that stage while gambling and its a very normal experience. On several occasions, multiple losses could trigger so many emotions that makes you feel worthless or irresponsible, but the mindest is what controls our actions. So I learnt to build my mind to always think positive and work on my discipline.

You are actually right, people who tell their real experience in gambling sounds different, as they will say everything in details on how they bet, their losses, the chasing, including the discipline and the stress in it. Though, people who make up stories also sound like that but the difference is that those who make up stories always talked about the wins or profits but talk less on limits and the rules. And even in their stories one can still learn a thing or two in it and that is why one should have the awareness of gambling, so that they won't gamble based on what other people are gambling but will place the game based on facts.

It affected me initially because I was losing a lot of money and losing control almost every single time when I would lose some money initially, but over time, I managed to gain more control over my emotions, so overall now, things are good.

Yup. Ask any high school student to come in these threads and study the posts and they will discover a high majority of posts are totally cooked up,,, AI is no surprise anymore so is plagiarism, very disgusting in this forum to be honest.

And if you look at chat histories of majority of users in this gambling section, do not be surprised to find 0 evidence that they actually gamble.

It is not even about being secretive or whatever, it is just a lot of cheating users who do not gamble and use this section to inflate their counts.

It both affected me in a good and a bad way.

It affected me negatively because at first, I wasn't able to control my addiction over the hobby. I would sacrifice important and essential time that I should've prioritized but instead, it went straight to my hobby. However, it also affected me positively in a way that it taught me on how to manage my time wisely. After experiencing all the negative aspects, it somehow snapped be back to reality and realized that I shouldn't be making gambling as my whole personality and world.

Yes definitely! Like what I mentioned above, my expenses were going out of control. Instead of doing and buying things that would benefit me in the long run, I would think of just spending it on a few games on gambling, only to find out that I've been spending the next 5-6 hours just gambling away my expenses.

Experience and reality- the reality that I have to face my problems because it was slowly manifesting and affecting my real-life decisions. After accepting the fact that I would never ever recover my losses, that was the turning point that changed everything especially my perspective in gambling.

From my observation bonuses are the major factors that lures most people into becoming an addict which later turns out to be very difficult to handle. From a mindset that considers itself to be able to win gambling or consider it as a source of income, it has become a mistake, with bad consequences that will be experienced whether it is financial or health losses, the essence of the wrong mindset in gambling will make life destroyed sooner or later.

However, you are right that we should always be very careful in gambling. If we are not careful, we will lose everything. At the same time, I want to add one more thing. Self-control is the most important thing in gambling. Most of us gamblers do not have self-control. When we start winning in gambling, we cannot stop ourselves. We want to win more.
