Bitcoin has always been the only real cryptocurrencies, other cryptocurrencies that got launched after Bitcoin was just trying to benefit from the success of Bitcoin. Since they were not created for real interest there will always be things about them that does not look right like when Ethereum is trying to centralise their blockchain by moving to the proof of stake algorithm. Bitcoin power comes from its decentralised operation and this makes it standard from other cryptocurrency and that is why you can call Bitcoin the real cryptocurrency why others are fake.

I would have argued with the OP for saying Bitcoin is the only true cryptocurrency. Well, everyone is entitled to his or her opinion. After all, Bitcoin has earned its reputation. It has the strongest and most secure network, it is decentralized, it has a fixed supply, it is a store of value and it still consistently enjoys the first-mover advantage.

I have had some experiences with altcoins and some were not really good. That is why the first cryptocurrency I would recommend to anyone hoping to invest in crypto is Bitcoin, because it does not necessarily need hype to appreciate like pump-and-dump coins do.

The OP may be right, but I would rather say Bitcoin is the most trustworthy cryptocurrency.

While there are many reasons I can probably bring up that makes Bitcoin the most trustworthy cryptocurrency I like to believe Bitcoin isn't the only real crypto but still it's the only one that has a certain long-lasting potential in this space.

If there's any coin that offers better store of value when held for long-term maybe I could consider it the best but since Bitcoin still ranks first when it comes to "store of value" then it still retains its position as the best digital currency if there's any coin that really withstand the test of time and still shows potential of doing better then it's Bitcoin, others still rely on the value of Bitcoin to be relevant.

I get where you are coming from, from what I have learnt so far, Bitcoin is definitely the most proven cryptocurrency and most secured, it has a bigger records and a stronger decentralization because no any credible evidence of being a scam and I see it as a digital gold. In my own opinion I doubts even in the next 30years or more if there could be any cryptocurrency that can truly beat Bitcoin or become more valuable than mighty Bitcoin, it has already proven itself over time as the most reliable and secure  digital asset, and it’s consistency will always keep itself ahead of other cryptocurrency, based on its current strength and wide adoption, I believe Bitcoin will forever continue to grow stronger and become more dominant in the future.

For me, Bitcoin is not the only real cryptocurrency.  Bitcoin is not the only one legalized or acknowledged by countries, we have other cryptocurrencies that are accepted by many countries and accepted as a mode of payment.

So when you said real cryptocurrency, you should set a standard of comparison for why Bitcoin is the only cryptocurrency, depending on the standard definition of cryptocurrency.  Not because you thought that other cryptocurrencies are shady, they are not real cryptocurrencies anymore.  Personal belief is different from factual data.

Bitcoin is the mother of them of all and if you are to trust anything then you should trust bitcoin and since other cryptocurrency are alternative cryptocurrency so it shows that they are all under bitcoin and they are controlled by bitcoin because the way it is even the price of the market is controlled by bitcoin so we should not just depend on bitcoins alone there other coins that can actually help us because there price is not even up to that of bitcoin and in this business what matters the most is quantity and just look at Ethereum and other can be bought and they will give you result.

Is a matter of choice which one you want to buy exactly so nobody can choose for anyone and if you are finding it hard to choose then it is best for the person to just go for bitcoin and then rest for further financial issues then there still altcoins that can be trusted and you can invest in but bitcoin is the best.

It’s difficult to invest in all the coins entering the crypto space now, because most of them are just scam. I always encourage people to invest only in bitcoin, but anyone that chooses to invest in altcoins, they should make sure they don’t invest in all this new projects entering the market, because they just going to regret at the end, I don’t always have confidence in any coin except bitcoin. I don’t know maybe we still have real coins entering the market right now, because most of the coins which I have been observing lately just turn out to be scam at the end.

Bitcoin forks are scam and most of other altcoins are scam too. Except Bitcoin and some very oldest and highest quality altcoins like Ethereum, BNB, Solana, it's very dangerous to invest money in altcoins.

Bitcoin is Bitcoin and should be referred to as that while altcoins are free to generally used the world cryptocurrencies, when you decide what's real and what's not real, that should be based on what the person is looking for. It the project has what they are looking for, then they can regard it to be real but if it's not then they can see it to be scammed.

Bro, projects are not just in the hundreds, they are in the thousands, and they keep coming and dying at the same rate. Some of them were so promising that we would have failed to tell if they would ever die, but they did. That is why BTC is still the real crypto even now. We know from its history that it will recover after every dump, we know that we don't have to lose hope with this one, even if it has dropped by 70%. But if an altcoin has dropped by 70%, we lose hope and move on.

NFTs still have not lost all of their value, they are still worth some thousands of dollars if they were worth millions before, and the ones that cost hundreds or thousands back then are now worth zero. NFTs should not be compared with BTC. NFT holders were idiots to buy them instead of BTC, if all those celebrities who bought NFTs for millions had bought BTC, they could have made 3x to 5x easily.

Yeah, Bitcoin is one of the only real crypto-currencies. We could mention Monero and a couple of others but that's it. This altcoin world is full of scam projects. You said "even" for ETH but it wasn't a serious project since start anyway. Once they decided to roll back the blockchain, it was completely over for them. Bitcoin would never do that. This is one of its most important features.
Bitcoin is in existence for almost 18 years, I'm sure it will be here 18 years later.

Bitcoin remains the best and cannot be treated like any shit coin, it remains the ultimate because tit has a purpose of existence which is the control hedge over inflation compared to other shit coins that does not have purpose of existence and that is why they don't last. Bitcoin has proven itself beyond all doubts that it is genuine  and not a scam

So there are still people with bitcoin maxi idealogy. You don't need to choose between them, while bitcoin has better or best store of value, most crypto alts/tokens have better utility purpose than it. You can use or choose both for better advantage than comparing it and only chooses one. The more the better.

Any coin or token that is secured by cryptography is basically a cryptocurrency, but not every cryptocurrency can have the same characteristics and features, so Bitcoin is obviously superior than other cryptocurrencies, mostly because of its truly decentralized nature and the fact that it was the first ever cryptocurrency created with a limited supply, which started having a higher value over time when the demand started increasing, and this made other developers think of creating their own versions of cryptocurrencies, and today we have thousands of cryptocurrencies in the market.

However, just because other cryptocurrencies don't have the features and characteristics that Bitcoin does, it doesn't mean they are not cryptocurrencies. They are all cryptocurrencies, but they are different than Bitcoin, and that is why none of them have ever been able to compete against Bitcoin, never had a chance because people trust Bitcoin, and they don't trust any other cryptocurrency created after it. Even if someone now creates a cryptocurrency that they preach is completely decentralized and also has a limited supply, people will still not trust it, because it will still be a copy of Bitcoin. Bitcoin has the trust of the world because it was the first one of its kind.
