from my personal experience a few years ago, i feel it's very difficult to stop when losing. this is because human psychology is more likely to feel disappointed when losing $10 in gambling than spending $20 on groceries. the brain needs a return from gambling because it wants to gain a profit. it's not like buying goods or food, the return is a product, not profits so no reason to chase anything from product.

when i lose in gambling, without getting anything back, my brain starts to think "if i hadn't gambled, i would still have my money.", i know i was regretting when gamble, but the funny thing is, after this thought, the brain just starting to think about "maybe with one more deposit, to get back what i lost before." of course this just a trap, its a lie!. 1 depo turns into 2 or 3, and in the end i only stop when i have nothing left.

this is where discipline plays a crucial role. good discipline, control, and risk management are the best choices, but it's not easy. i often try to chase my losses, and for me, the only way to stop is by limiting my access to transfer money. only then can i stop thinking about "one last deposit."

i believe this happens not only to me but also to a lot of people here. even though they talk about "control yourself" in the comments, in reality, some of them also unable to stop when lose and keep making more deposits. then, after losing everything, they come back to the forum and give suggestions like "you have to control your gambling activity." Grin

everything can happen behind the screen. but this can be a lesson to learn, never follow your brains when losing, if you are trying to do one more deposit, you are ready to losing more money. because no guarantee because of you are making more deposit, you will win, only the lucky gambler that achieve that. if you are unlucky gambler,  you will end up with lose all of your money from several times you are making deposit.

so, are you one of those gamblers who keeps doing "one last deposit" or not?

I do not believe in one last deposit because I know that is addiction or it can be what can lead to what people will call addiction. What I like is one time deposit and which I think is the best. There have been sometimes in the past that I do more than one time deposit, but it was only draining all my money which is just addiction. I know it can not help me which caused me to later stop.

Anytime you are in that mood to chase losses just know that there is nothing like a last deposit because the more you tell yourself that's you just want to play one more game it's going to lead to multiple trials which eventually leads to losses. The best thing to do is always to stop whenever you can instead of continuing because whenever you think about what you have lost when gambling there is no way you can stop easily because you would want to keep on trying to recover, at this point it's actually desperation and you are going to end up losing more than you planned to.

so, are you one of those gamblers who keeps doing "one last deposit" or not?
I can honestly say, no. Why? Mainly because I have a very limited bankroll. So, even if I really wanted to make that one last deposit in the hope of winning some of my recent losses back, I just can't. There's nothing to deposit.  Cheesy I guess that's one silly advantage of not having that limitless bankroll, you're always restricted, especially when it comes to money.  Grin I do understand why some people really have no control over that matter, even when facing similar financial difficulty. Not only do they want to win back their money, but they are also probably chasing that euphoric feeling when you finally win something. That's what their brain is constantly looking for and what drives them to always make that one last deposit.

Probably yes and probably no because there's so much going on before I can make a deposit. Well, with so easy to make a deposit nowadays with just few clicks away I think it's really not that hard to make that a lie. I don't know why is that the case to be honest but we really make some ways to make a deposit even if we don't have or limited on what we could bankroll, maybe it's really tied psychologically.

No. Despite the temptation I can say I've held strong when I most needed due to the urge for chasing losses being too strong. I knew I couldn't deposit or risk further, so I got away from gambling since then. It wasn't easy, though.

I couldn't stop thinking about it for a week or so. My mind was on automatic mode, always bringing gambling into my thoughts, trying to find a strategy to recover what I lost while risking most of my funds. In some moments I almost when for it, because it sounded logical that I could recover the lost money.

However, at same time, the another side of my ego warned me about it being a trap, and that I shouldn't pay attention to such misleading thoughts. Then, after some days the temptation got weaker until I finally accepted the fact the money was lost and I should simply forget about it and move ahead.

Addiction is no joke. But part of the problem is not being able to admit it is an addiction. The addict just keeps making up new excuses, even if he were to tell nobody, he still makes them for himself. As if he were living in some fantasy world where bad things don't exist if you ignore them. Of course in reality, eventually these addicts would have to find out that the consequences do not magically go away and must be dealt with eventually.

I might say a lie if I will tell it didnt happened to me. I guess everyone has this habit of believing that one last deposit or try might change the potential betting output, I dont know but indeed like a ritual or something for every gambler.

But that was in the past I rarely do this feat now and sticking with my goal to only play what my budget for the day. Its really hard when your urge to play is there. I guess once in a while I will do this again if the games really that thrilling and exciting.

No, and when I see stories like these, it becomes even clearer to me. What you’re describing is a classic case of chasing your losses, and in this instance, whether you’ve run out of your casino balance and have to make a deposit, or whether you’d set yourself a limit on how much you’re willing to lose and have reached it, yet you keep betting more even though you still have money left in your account. It’s not about making one last deposit; it’s that you’re gambling recklessly.

I think most of us are those gamblers who keep going with a "one last deposit" even if some people don't admit it, but I believe that the majority of gamblers are of this type. There is a temptation in gambling that makes it difficult for us to stop, even though we are fully aware of the risks and the possibility of suffering another loss.

Although we all know our mistakes and that we have already lost a lot and know that we may lose more money because of not stopping, there is a hidden side that keeps tickling our brains that we may win this time and recover our lost money.

My emphatic answer is No!

I read a lot about gambling addiction and other ups and downs of it, but I don't indulge myself in all that. I believe mine is because of the strict mindset I developed for gambling before I placed my first bet ever, or probably due to my disciplined nature. I stop gambling when I say "stop," and I continue when I want to continue. I've done this countless of time in the past and still did it this year when I lost in a row. I believe that should be the spirit of true gamblers to make it fun, and not make us vulnerable.

I have been an addict before and I know this is definitely a gambling addiction but mine was different. I deposit all my money into my account on a gambling site at once and I will use all to gamble. What I know is that at the end, my addiction and someone that is gradually depositing his money into his account on a gambling site is that we are both going to spend all our money on gambling and sometimes we may borrow money to gamble after using all our money to gamble. It is a very bad thing.

from my personal experience a few years ago, i feel it's very difficult to stop when losing.
It wasn't difficult for me to stop, because as soon as I lost my entire deposit, I immediately stopped. Smiley

when i lose in gambling, without getting anything back, my brain starts to think "if i hadn't gambled, i would still have my money.", i know i was regretting when gamble, but the funny thing is, after this thought, the brain just starting to think about "maybe with one more deposit, to get back what i lost before." of course this just a trap, its a lie!. 1 depo turns into 2 or 3, and in the end i only stop when i have nothing left.
This isn't surprising, as the brain dislikes the state of "loss", as it releases "unpleasant" neurotransmitters that make us feel upset and sad about losing. Wins, on the other hand, create a feeling of joy and delight, which pleasantly stimulates our nervous system, which is why we want to win. The brain also tries to compensate for losses and try to win them back. But, as you already know, this only drags us deeper into the quagmire of losses.

this is where discipline plays a crucial role. good discipline, control, and risk management are the best choices, but it's not easy. i often try to chase my losses, and for me, the only way to stop is by limiting my access to transfer money. only then can i stop thinking about "one last deposit."
Discipline transforms gambling into a controlled process, rather than a chaotic one where you're ready to place bets over and over again in pursuit of winnings. Therefore, it's wise to have a well-thought-out strategy for various situations, such as losses, game limits, and winning and losing amounts. In other words, everything should be under your control, rather than the casino controlling your actions (which leads to chaotic gambler behavior).

i believe this happens not only to me but also to a lot of people here. even though they talk about "control yourself" in the comments, in reality, some of them also unable to stop when lose and keep making more deposits. then, after losing everything, they come back to the forum and give suggestions like "you have to control your gambling activity." Grin
Because talking about self-control and following this rule are 2 different things.

everything can happen behind the screen. but this can be a lesson to learn, never follow your brains when losing, if you are trying to do one more deposit, you are ready to losing more money. because no guarantee because of you are making more deposit, you will win, only the lucky gambler that achieve that. if you are unlucky gambler,  you will end up with lose all of your money from several times you are making deposit.

so, are you one of those gamblers who keeps doing "one last deposit" or not?
Nope.

Quitters never win, Go big or go home, YOLO, or 100 other different phrases along with 1 last deposit are things that all gamblers say. How many people are actually disciplined and stop? Maybe 10% of gamblers IMO, the rest are gonna go til broke trying to get even.

That one last deposit is a big scam so many persons had fall for it countless time, which often lead to addiction, you are on a losing streaks , tired and frustrated yet something in you still tells you one more time , that is when you are supposed to take break and rest , the more you began to chass loses , the winning will never come , so don’t fall for that lie , set a bankroll for yourself and adhere to it , and don’t over do yourself and enjoy every moment.

so, are you one of those gamblers who keeps doing "one last deposit" or not?
Normally I'm the type that love learning from other people's mistakes right from when I was still a teenager way back in school. I dont fall victim easily even though it's not completely by my making but that's how I see things happening around me. However, I have always seen gamble as a risky game so when ever am dealing with it I do gamble with caution to afford story that touch.

Talking of involving in one more deposit is something am so scared of. Because I have leant to understand that it's actually the root cause of gamble addiction and the best thing to do as to stay safe in gamble is to be extremely disciplined, else the system wouldn't hold back but hit you hard then you will understand why the casinos and others earlier advice for we to gamble responsible.

I feel that too in my experienced but I can control my minds by not doing "one last deposit" as I have bad experienced before. If I losing money, I will not continue gambling but stopping before everything change. I don't want to have another bad experience by deposit more money.

So one last deposit is tricky and lying you by saying with one last deposit, you will turn your losses into wins. You should hold yourself and leaving the casino will be better to avoid more losses. If your mind saying to do one last deposit, you should not listen.

This all sounds great in theory. But how many of us actually adhere to the rules and maintain discipline? A few years ago, I certainly couldn't say that about myself. I played until I'd spent my entire monthly salary on gambling. Yes, it sounds completely crazy, but at the time, I had no idea what I was doing or the consequences that would follow. Everything happened as if in a fog. I was interested in nothing but playing slots. I could play for hours without stopping. I even forgot about food. It was a true gambling addiction, which led me to financial ruin.

This has everything to do with chasing losses, and it all started with a gambler who can't afford what they are risking on gambling, they will surely have these problems as a gambler, the lack of discipline and lack of control starts the moment you choose to risk money that you can't afford to lose.

Chasing losses won't be found if you risk very small money, there will be no need to chase the money once gambling takes it all, also you must be disciplined enough by having your own gambling days and time, if you are to spend 30 minutes in a day make sure that you set an alarm or y to remind yourself that your time is up. Over staying in a casino is not good.

from my personal experience a few years ago, i feel it's very difficult to stop when losing. this is because human psychology is more likely to feel disappointed when losing $10 in gambling than spending $20 on groceries. the brain needs a return from gambling because it wants to gain a profit. it's not like buying goods or food, the return is a product, not profits so no reason to chase anything from product.

when i lose in gambling, without getting anything back, my brain starts to think "if i hadn't gambled, i would still have my money.", i know i was regretting when gamble, but the funny thing is, after this thought, the brain just starting to think about "maybe with one more deposit, to get back what i lost before." of course this just a trap, its a lie!. 1 depo turns into 2 or 3, and in the end i only stop when i have nothing left.

I definitely have this problem which is why I usually have a blitz over 2-3 days every year, get bored of losing my money and self exclude from that website for the longest possible time. There's enough other sites out there that it's unnecessary to return to it anyway but that is enough for me to break the short term connection and the annoyance of losing money stops me going back. Outside of that I play with ten dollars and just do micro bets with high multiplier parlays to fill my appetite. The occasional lottery ticket so I can dream of winning a huge amount also helps, but it's such a bad cycle to get into "one last bet" because it's often combined with tiredness or intoxication too.
