I don’t think newbies are the people that are usually involved with account purchases. If you look at the majority of users that are tangled in this account sales and buys, they are usually those that have being on the forum for a while and already knows how the forum works.
A genuine newbie wouldn’t do that, they would be more concerned on learning the rules here, how it applies and how the forum works generally before even considering such a thing as buying of an account.
Lol a genuine newbie. I didn't know we had fake newbies on the forum too. Everyone on the forum were once at a time newbies, and it's possible that they may have gotten involved in the account trading when they were actually newbies, when they were yet to understand the implications of account sales, I mean at this point, they can actually be easy to deceived into believing there's nothing absolutely wrong with account sales. Because I don't think if any experienced member can actually fall for or resort to account farming, even after knowing the implications of doing so.

How sure are you?I guess you don’t visit the reputation board.I don’t visit the reputation board as often too,but most times I do and whenever I visit the board I’m always surprise to see experienced members that are conversant with rules of the forum falling victim to them.Lately,a lot of hero members and legendary accounts have been trusted negatively because they were caught in account farming,so I would tell to visit the reputation board in order to reshape your perspective that even experienced members are involved in account farming.Though, most newbie accounts are sold account,I would advise that every user should grow their account by themselves and abide to the forum rules at all cost.

I remember when I started posting newly on this forum someone PM me and was trying to bring me to a discussion of account buying and when I noticed he was trying to lead me to such discussion I stopped discussing with him and I know some newbies back then or now have had same experience and may have even fallen victim, I don't support account buying also in this forum, just imagine a trusted legendary member decides to sell his account to someone who is a scammer believe me he will use the account to scam so many people, so this is one of the reasons I don't support account buying.
OP you did well by creating this thread, newbies should read and be informed, they should understand they will surely be caught if they get involved in account buying and again it will be better that rule concerning account buying and selling should be reviewed and changed.

They usually targeted newbies for this kind of thing because they know newbies can easily be convinced by their tricks, reason being that some of them don't want to undergo the stress to patiently grow their accounts. As a newbie when anyone PM you for account buying of the discussions, you should first ask yourself why someone would sell their forum accounts? B ecause the issue isn't about the people that will know that the account has changed hands, but it's possible that they might have used the accounts for illegal acts and some forum members do transactions outside the forum which the seller may not tell you, that's why we need to away from buying or selling of forum accounts.

Yeah newbies are usually their target, they know that they cannot convince an old member in this forum to fall for that trick, and again they know that a new member of this forum will want to grow very fast or will wish to have a ranked up account quickly and that is why they go for them, know one can come to me to buy an account because I already have a hero member account so what’s the need of buying another account what am I going to do with it, it’s just a waste of money, newbies should not allow anyone to deceive them on buying any account because it’s useless to buy another persons identity and you will be caught and red tagged.

The rule says account sales are allowed, but we all know that is not the case. It is high time the administrator of this forum updated that particular rule and stated clearly that account sales are prohibited. This will clear all the confusion in the minds of newbies when they are approached by old forum members and scammers for account sales deals.

Apart from that, newbies will be more committed to creating their own brand and account from scratch, instead of having the hope of bypassing the whole process by buying accounts they cannot handle well.

The prohibition of account sales will make judgments by DT members fair and justified. Right now, it feels somehow that the rule does not prevent people from buying accounts, yet account buyers still get tagged for something that is recognized on the forum.

It's not about convincing anyone to skip ranking up, it's about earning. You can't convince anyone that knows nothing about the forum to buy a ranked account without knowing the value. The first thing they do to convince buyers is "earning", but this account and you can make an "$xx" amount every week, this quickly trigger their interest because of the earning involved, this is why many buy accounts without looking at the reputation behind the account.

Glad sales of bad accounts has reduced in the forum, there was time when scam casino 1xbet was hiring tagged accounts then, the forum was flooded with bought accounts because the casino itself is a scam running around the forum with numbers of scam accusation and till date none of those issues were solve. They hang around while it last until here wasn't giving them the exposure they wanted, they left and never came back again and all those accounts went into exile.

According to the rules of this forum you are free to buy bitcointalk forum account from another member in this forum and it’s not against the rules of this forum.
But don’t believe that rule, the act of buying account from another member in this forum is actually seen as illegal by a lot of members in this forum and when you are caught for account buying many DT members will give the account you bought a negative feedback and that will destroy what ever you wanted to do with the account because no one will trust doing any business or deal with you since it carries a negative feedback.

If anyone PM you that you can buy their account and no one will know about it, don’t accept because by your writing people will know it has changed hands and the account may have said something a long time ago and you may count it later without you knowing and you may be caught, you don’t share same thought with the real owner so you will surely counter each other and you cannot permanently delete something you have posted here in this forum because anyone can see all you have deleted, so don’t waste your money by buying account in this forum, grow your account by yourself patiently.

I'm against buying forum accounts and find it strange and stupid. And something like that can't go unnoticed. Any change in an account's communication with other members will be noticed, as everyone has their own writing style. For example, there was a guy on the forum with 13,000 members—I don't remember his nickname—and at some point he got upset with the entire forum, deleted all his threads, and sold the account to some weird guy. His nickname changed, and so did his communication style; he started swearing. It was ugly, and I still remember it.

I support your judgement about it cause the seller might have an issue in the past that they deleted which is unknowning to the buyer even when they crosscheck to see if the account is okay, so instead of suffering for something you know nothing about, it's better to just avoid buying any account whether the rules here supports it or not.
It's impossible to keep up with the old owner writing style no matter how well the new owner tries to be careful, there would be noticeable changes at some point like supporting things the old owner doesn't agree with, for instance the old owner supports trading whereby the new owner is a big fan of holding Bitcoin.

Some newbies have been on the forum for some time now, they have been posting, but they finding it difficult to rank up, their post is not even attracting merit, whenever they receive a message that their is a high rank account for sell, they always see that as an opportunity, they don’t even know the implication of what they doing.

As a newbie when anyone PM you for account buying of the discussions, you should first ask yourself why someone would sell their forum accounts?
Do you even think people care, they just believe if they can buy the account, they can be able to participate in signature campaigns easily, they don’t even care to know the reason the seller decided to sell the account. If you are on the forum as a newbie, you don’t have to rush, take your time to learn about the forum, and rank your account up gradually, you don’t have to buy account from anyhow.
