This is probably a tune up fight for him before the Manny Pacquiao showdown. Sort of shaking that ring rust. But if we remember, he is supposedly to fight Mike Tyson, but it's obvious that it's not going to happen.

I see two situations on why he get that fight. First he maybe want to shake the rust, since last time he fight is long ago. Then he need this in preparation on his fight against Pacquaio.

Also he need money to sustain his wealthy lifestyle. There are strong rumors that Mayweather is experiencing financial difficulties, although this has been debunked before, but this rumor comeback and this time maybe that issue is true.

But there's no much interesting about this exhibition fight. I'd prefer to watch Pacquaio vs Mayweather, since we provably see more action here.

I believe Floyd does not want to risk his undefeated professional record in that fight, and it makes sense if you look at it. He is not the fighter he was many years ago, why risk that record now, it would be safer for him if it were an exhibition.

I also believe this fight to be a kind of preparation for his fight against Pacquiao, but what i am trying to understand is the rivalry that's between Mayweather and Pacquiao to the extent of Pacquiao buying Mayweather's boxing plus fitness gym in Hollywood, which is not rebranding to Pacquiao prime boxing.
Having said that, I don't see him getting knocked out by Zambidis since the fight will influence Mayweather upcoming fight.

He needs to be well conditioned, and he also needs the money; he needs somebody to warm him up before his fight against Manny Pacquiao, who is so serious about making their bout professional, so he can avenge his loss. This is going to be a very easy fight for Mayweather, as kickboxers rely on their kicks when they fight.
With his upcoming exhibition match against Zambidis, we'll know his condition and whether he's still the same Mayweather, with his slick moves and high IQ in the ring.

Knowing how Floyd fights and knowing that his opponent isn't strictly a boxer, not to mention their age, I see no reason why I'd be excited to see this fight. Of course, this is mainly for the money. That's what exhibition fights are all about, right? But Mayweather might have accepted this to also prepare himself for a possible rematch against Manny.

That has yet to be seen. There was initially a disagreement whether it's going to be a professional match or just an exhibition. As expected, Floyd preferred that it's a mere exhibition. Manny mentioned it wasn't the agreement. But there's likelihood that it'll push through if what I've read is true. Accordingly, both of them have already gotten their advance checks.

I think cancelling the fight would cause some legal disputes, since it was reported that Mayweather already signed the contract and advancements was already made, and the contract says ita sanctioned match, meaning a professional fight that would legally affect their professional records.

Floyd surely doesn't want to put his records at risks. I mean that's Manny, they maybe in the same situation now,  but Manny fought some professional fights in the last couple of years, while Floyd isn't.  So, this exhibition match right here is most likely a tune up for Floyd to shake off the ring rusts.

That's true, but 2 of the fight that you mentioned is exhibition fights, so it's not like the Floyd is going to train that hard on them. And that is the reason why he is pushing for the Manny fight to be a exhibition fight as well.

I will go with the former, that Floyd needs the money right now. He has to pay the IRS taxes in millions are reported. So a good fight might earn him that kind of money and starts with this Zambidis fight. As for the Tyson fight, I don't think that it will happen, Tyson might have some health issues and that is a concern.

The one that has a nickname of "Money" doesn't have money anymore. Is that the case right now that's why he'll be having an exhibition match before fighting Manny yet again?

Fighting Manny for the sake of Money? Kind of rhymes, eh? Kidding aside, it's a good exercise for him before his big fight against a post-prime Pacquiao. Nah, I don't think that Floyd and Tyson has bad blood, they fight in different eras. Maybe they just want it to appear that they have to hype that fight. But since it won't happening because of Tyson, Floyd decided to do another rematch with Zambidis. And to be honest, I'm not familiar with this fighter. But I would agree that this fight doesn't carry any risk for Floyd.

And what we says as well, perhaps he wants to have a tune up before the actual fight with Manny this September. Possible though that if Floyd still needs around set of money, then he will fight Mike Tyson after his big fight with Pacquiao. So in 3 fights, he should have at least netted $100 million.

You are correct. Floyd has already signed the contracts for this fight, a professional bout, this was confirmed by Pacquiao's team and i don't think Floyd has come out to dispute those claims. What he has done is call it an exhibition fight, which wasn't what the contract was all about. There is a lot of uncertainty if the fight will go on as a result of this.

I believe Floyd had a rethink, why put his 50-0 professional record on the line, when he is not anywhere near the shape he was in the past. However, this may end up being settled legally, because sources believe Floyd has already received advance payments for this bout, a professional boxing match.
