Rainbet’s BTT World Cup 2026, where you build your own squad, represent your region and battle your way to glory for the ultimate title:
Bitcointalk World Champions.
The Concept16 teams split into 4 groups of 4 battle it out in a World Cup knockout system until there’s only 1 team standing – the Bitcointalk World Champions.
Each round will represent a series of mini games in which players from 2 different teams will be paired against each other and will fight as a team to get the points.
In case we see a lot of interest we will expand the number of teams – you can read more about potential expansion in the ‘Team selection’ part.
Team SetupEach team consists of 3 players. Buy-in per team is 3 mBTC.
Players must share a regional connection (same country or neighboring region)
Each team must choose a name and a captain (handles communication, coordination and fees) and create a team flag.
Allowed Team Names: Finland, Nordics, Central Asia, Sub-Saharan Africa
Not Allowed: Mixed countries (France & Italy), vague/global regions (Asia, Northern Hemisphere), Non-geographic names (African Tigers).
We have the right to accept or reject every team and/or captain.
Feel free to write in the thread, but you can also discuss it via other apps. When you’re done, just submit the team and the captain.
Team SelectionThe application must look like this:

In addition to this it would be nice if your team creates its own flag (and provide me with 160x100 px version for the 3rd post). This is not mandatory but will give your team more of an identity. For examples check the teams in 3rd post.
If more than 16 teams apply priority goes to teams with active and higher ranked forum members.
If demand is high the tournament might expand to 32 teams or we may create a hybrid format (probably with 24 teams).
Individual players can apply, in that case if they do not find a team we will try to match them together. Individual application should look like this:

Competition FormatThe tournament follows the World Cup 2026 timeline:
• Group stage matches will be played alongside real group matches
• Knockout rounds will be aligned with real knockout stages
Each round will be resolved by a H2H team battle.
Group stage:3 points per win, 1 for a draw, 0 for a loss.
Tie-breakers: GD followed by GS and H2H.
Knockout stage:Everyone advances to the knockouts… but not equally.
1st & 2nd Place - Directly to Quarterfinals
3rd Place Teams play against each other in the Round of 32. Winners go directly to quarterfinals, losers play in the Round of 16.
4th Place Teams play against each other in the Round of 32. Winners go to the Round of 16 and the losers are eliminated.
In R16 3rd placed teams are seeded, in the quarterfinals 1st and 2nd placed teams are seeded.
Match FormatEach team match consists of 3 mini-games — each player plays only one of them per round.
1) Prediction Quiz – similar to BSFL• 4 questions about upcoming matches
• Better score - 1 point
2) Goalscorer Picks• Pick 5 players to score from that round of World Cup games
• More correct picks - 1 point
3) Betting Challenge• Submit a $10 betting ticket on Rainbet
• Minimum of 3 selections, 1.25 odds per selection
• Highest winning odds - 1 point
The captain of each team decides which player participates in which task. Eventually, the game looks like this:

Paco92x vs Hhampuz – Bets
The result is a sum of individual duels, can be from 0-0 to 3-0 per game.
Deadlines, submissions and resultsDeadlines are announced before each round, TryNinja’s Notifier Bot will be used every time
Questions are sent at least 24h in advance, with an additional reminder to team captains a few hours before the deadline
The captains assign tasks and coordinate submissions.
They do not need to publicly announce which player gets which task – it will be visible in the spreadsheet after the submission deadline has passed.
Missing a submission means an automatic loss in that mini-game.

Rewards are final in case we have 16 teams.In case of more teams, we will restructure both the competition format and the prize distribution. Sponsorship fee will not be increased.

Please send your buy in as a team (3 mBTC) on that address and provide me with the tx id through PM. If some team really has problems sending the buyin in one tx, contact me and we will accept payments from each player individually but it will be much cleaner if we have one tx per team.
Deadline for payment is one week before the kickoff of the first match in World Cup. June 3rd, midnight UTC. But please don't cut it that late if possible. We will take that last week as a reserve to possibly replace a team that applied but didn't pay on time.
