I do check whether they are licensed, but I don't go so far as to review it with the appropriate authority. The problem is that not all of them offer online services to check the license number and determine whether it is legitimate.

I guess they should also put that in their TOS. "We are licensed, and you can check it here (link)" - Something like that.

Actually, Casino licenses usually have a banner typically on the bottom part of the casino that will redirect to verification page of the license provider to prove the authenticity of the license.

I think the QR code can be applicable on this matter since it just needs to convert the website URL to QR. Casino licenses usually records are publicly verifiable.

I would rather look for their licence number which should be much easy to locate somewhere on their website and I'll verify its authenticity, going to look for the registration in their TOS doesn't guarantee that it is legit to use it, so it's best to just at once look at the licence authenticity. I don’t consider it as scam if the terms was disclosed publicly. It’s the user fault to not read the ToS before they start playing with unfavorable rules because we have an option to not play in there if we don’t like the terms.

It can only be considered as scam if the casino alter the ToS and use it against the player.

Most of the time, clarification on the ToS was frequently done through initial introduction here from reputable members that is knowledgeable on terms. Real scam are the action of the casino that is not in-line with their terms or using a vague terms to justify their action without any explanation.

TOS are almost the same I guess, but at the end of the day, it is the reputation of the casino that matters a lot.

Yes we always do --- casinos that already have a license at least it's not a fraudulent casino and we can verify the license number, although sometimes problems in gambling will always exist not everything is running normally.

But company registration is not always the same as a gambling license.

If a casino claims to be licensed, I think they should show the license number and the actual license provider. Then users should verify it directly from the regulator’s website, not just trust what the casino wrote.

You are very correct, but i do not necessarily verify number. I usually just check where the license was registered. What i see all the time is companies using weak license just because it is easy to get. Well, most of them has not caused any trouble to players. But i having higher license protect players. Which most of them don't consider.

With everything you have said companies will have a hard time doing it. Maybe they are hiding something or not. Who knows. I agree, if they have nothing to hide and they're acting just fine then that should be fine. What matters is the satisfaction that we get from them and what they offer. Gamblers are not too picky if it's about convenience whether they're licensed, regulated or not.

Curaçao’s is one of the licensing company that has been known they have also made name as I know. But even as that there are some countries that not allowed people to gamble if the casino owner themselves do not legally to acquire such country license they won’t be that permissible to operate in the particular country. Of course, most times you would also see the casino listing the country they are only permitted to operate, and even if they are allowed they will use VPN, that is if the country allows people from geographical regions to gamble.

When you comes across those countries that is not listed or being permitted to gamble, you easily seem them listed on their ToS, if you do that really want to gamble it’s best advisable to contact support or even look for other casinos that operates on that country.

I don't verify it either, but it's important to me whether site is licensed or not. It can be Curaçao or Malta Gaming Authority (MGA), but if I see nothing, it's a red flag. You can say, "why do you trust a picture on your computer without verifying?", and that's a legitimate question. Having a casino license is a good sign. But in my opinion kyc casinos are a bit complicated because our personal information can be public. Which is not good for a gambler. I generally prefer casinos good and reliable, without kyc. There is no possibility of personal information being leaked. On the other hand, casinos licensed by the government are more reliable. But as a gambler should follow all the rules of the casino, this can avoid many problems.

I’m the kind of person who’s pretty lazy when it comes to reading all or even part of the Terms of Service even when I find a new casino. I judge whether it’s trustworthy based on its appearance so if I feel comfortable with how it looks, I assume the casino is reliable. But even so I’ve had an unexpected experience where I was scammed: they didn’t pay out the winnings I withdrew and instead they locked my account.
 
This was a problem for me personally since I wasn’t thorough enough, and you’re right for gamblers who pay attention to registration licenses, they’re much more likely to play at a good, trustworthy casino.

I don't think that most gamblers here are going to check every license number that we have seen in most casinos, that is the brutal truth here. If we found a new one and see that there are good reviews, then I think for us it's enough to test it out without checking everything.

But let's see if just one bad review with that casino, it might be just enough for the most of us to stay away from that or let more reviews come in. Maybe there are some of us who check the license first, but it could be just handful of them.
