or the past few weeks, I've been on some strange winning streak, but this time, i decided not to withdraw all the wins but kept everything on the casino account, I revisited the account after a day or two to play, and whenever I won, I'd leave it there and everything was going all fine and cool.

Not until today, I made my regular visit, made a few bets but lost all, decided to double my stake, but it seemed like they were really out for tonight, and before I knew it, everything I've accumulated the past few days was all gone in a twinkle of an eye, I couldn't believe my eyes, But come on, that's gambling, it's not like I didn't expect it, I did but not just this way.

So would you have avoided this situation if you were in my shoes?

Well, with my past experience from gambling, I would have avoided this situation if I was in your shoes, and the way I would have managed to avoid it is by making sure I don't leave any money not meant for gambling on the casino, that is, even money I've made from gambling on the casino that I don't intend to spend on gambling anymore, I  would without hesitation withdraw it to my personal wallet for safe keeping..

Because one sure thing is that when we leave money on the casino account, it's easy to get tempted to spend it on gambling even if the money was or is one you have no intention of gambling with again.
And we all know that winning from gambling is very hard while losing is very easy. It's like just how long it takes to build a house and how much time is required to demolish the same house, it can literally take less than 30 minutes to demolish a house that took 3 to 4 to 5 years to build.
So we have to be careful with gambling in other to avoid wasting something we struggled really hard to to get.

Well for me, I don't see the money he left behind in his balance to be a problem, common we are adults and at that we should know when we can use whatever is in our possession, because I can't say because I have some money in my balance that should trigger me to gamble more than I suppose to, knowing very well how risky gambling can be and what you stand to lose chasing more money or following your emotions.

I would.
I have that mindset that it should always be profit first before proceeding if ever I succeed and made profits.
But if not, I'll move on and try again sometime in the next days.
That's what you have forgotten to do, to take some profits and you were confident that it won't lose you money.
Welp, this is gambling. We all lose in the end if we're not careful even if we say that we've enjoyed but when the opportunity was there, you didn't took advantage of it.

Probably not, but you did something I already do... I deposit all the money I intend to spend during the month in the casinos, and I always leave it there regardless of what happens, and I have only one rule: never deposit more money than what is already there until the next month.
So, I generally have controlled bets, good bankroll management, and usually the money I have lasts until the end of the month, but I also make some "emotional" bets from time to time, sometimes I do well but most of the time I end up losing everything.
And what happens then? I ca not bet until the end of the month, that is: this is my punishment, and for me it is all right, because I am dealing with the consequences of my eloquent act without it affecting my financial health.

You gambled actually but you took a wrong pattern, the pattern that ensured that you do not end gambling profitably because if you had secured some profit for yourself and then reduced the amount you used playing, you would not have lost all the money you made from gambling leaving you profitless. So you lost all because you lack bank roll or risk management skill which is something you should try to learn so you do not repeat the same mistake again because a similar situation may arise for you.

I wouldn't say that I can avoid it, but definitely I will withdraw some of my winnings and maybe enjoy the fruits of it. And with this, the dangers of leaving your winnings in the casino because you will be tempted to play again and again. And there are chances that in the long run, we might lose everything as we all know that casino has every edge specially in luck base game.

In any case, this could be a good lesson for you mate, that at least as I have said withdraw some or even withdraw everything first. So that you will have that feeling of winning instead of thinking that you will go back again in the next couple of days to play because you still have money and then thought that you can duplicate your winnings again and again, which is not going to be the case.

It is obvious that you were actually feeling really cool unitl you eventually lost everything.
Imo, there is literally nothing to feel cool about when the losses starts kicking in, especially when you had interest in taking out your previous wins initially. I only leave my wins if they don't meet the minimum withdrawal requirement, so I just prefer to use them. But when it exceeds/meets, I just do what I have to do, to avoid your situation, because I understand how exciting gambling can be, even though it doesn't prevent the losing side of it from happening.

You neither weren't expecting it either otherwise you would had avoided it if that was possible.
The only way to escape that trap was if you're earlier informed that lack of management in gambling will make you spend more money than you'd if you're not upstanding to make the right decisions.
If you had been taking some profits from the account out as your luck keep to shine in the streaks, it'd inspire you to bet consciously so that you don't have to return all the profits back in th short term because when you've such a huge amount of money especially profits accumulated with little amount of wager, you could get lost or track to control your urge while you may think it's just profits at the risk.
So you'd think you don't give a damn even if you lost it all back.

You let emotions control you, you have already won, instead you decide to continue you are chasing something that you already have.
Sorry but greed consumes people, its not that you decide to leave it there you are expecting a bigger paycheck, but i think that's not how gambling works, there are times when you thought that loses will stop if you bet bigger doing so will immediately get it back, sadly its the start of a never ending loop, it will drain your money, and sadly because of that you might get addicted.

Gamblers don't just get hooked, it takes effort to realize what is pushing the mind to go for lost funds, could it be greed? In Op's case, it doesn't sound like it was, it looks like he had in mind to save up his bankroll with gaming wins, but couldn't help to see half of the funds swept away in a single session, he wanted the money back to where it was or a bit higher than where it peaked at in his previous session, then winded up the whole process behind his strategy, realizing this was his best treatment, soon he'd heal, and surely won't trade on this same path next time.

Most gamblers must have gone through a similar experience at some point, myself included. Sometimes, we lose control. But this is more of an exception rather than the rule in my overall experience. I’ve lost winnings, doubled my bets after a losing one, lost more than the worst imagined amount, and so on. What’s important is that realizations are made after that, which means the behavior isn’t normal, therefore unacceptable and shall be avoided the next time around.

Why would you gamble all-in like that? Where is the fun in that?

Personally, I prefer to gamble tiny amounts with a limited gambling budget per month. That way I do not feel tempted to overspend and stay grounded in reality. The reality being that you cannot expect to make any kind of profit or steady income from gambling. It is just a pipedream. I do not recommend following it.

Gambling is for entertainment, at best.

Another thing is that you do not need to take gambling seriously, just gamble for fun in a way that you should not be expecting profit like compulsory because the way you post is telling me that you need to change.

Yes I would have avoided the situation, but as some people avoid it, they are still losing to gamble sites.

Your greed has driven you to the lost. A sustainable gamble would think for twice before he doubled his stake. If i were you, i would keep gamble with the same bankroll since there is no urgency to make money as fast as possible.
That is how you ruined yourself. Doubled your stake is the way to lead you to lose even faster than when you made money from your previous bet.

Always be a gambler with a common sense about the greater stake, the bigger risk, the faster you lose your money.

Of course. There’s one thing I stick to like a rulebook, and I’ve mentioned it in other threads: whenever I win a big prize, I stop playing immediately, request a withdrawal and log out. It’s as automatic as an alarm clock going off when the time comes.

When you’re winning and accumulating money in your casino account, it’s because you’ve been luckier than you should have been, so in the future you’ll pay for it by losing. You did the exact opposite of what you should have done. You left the money there, and when you saw you were losing, you doubled your stake. From a mathematical point of view, you did the most logical thing to lose the money, so you shouldn’t be surprised now. And things could have been even worse, because you haven’t mentioned depositing more, but many people in your situation, after losing it all, still deposit more and lose it. We’ve seen plenty of cases like that on the forum.
