I have been holding Quant for a few years now and to be honest been disappointed with how little it has done during that time.

It didn't have any meaningful pump in the last year or two like other RWA plays did such as XRP and Hbar and im not sure why but i will continue to DCA while price is this low and hold hoping for a better next few years.

Everyone says how scarce Bitcoin is with only 21m supply, but Quant is even more scarce with only 14.8m supply.

The scarce supply was one of the reasons i started investing in it but with the lack of price movement last few years it tells me it needs a lot more than scarcity to do well.

For me a realistic price target for next 2 years is $1.5k which is over a 20x return from current $70 price.  I think that's realistic as would still only be a $18b market cap at a price of $1.5k.

Hbar hit $13b market cap last year, so don't see why Quant cant hit that and more next few years.

Anyone else hold it or have any thoughts on it?  I research it a few times each week and many say it can even hit $5k next few years but im more on the cautious side and will be happy with $1.5k.

I believe many who said Quant would be going to 5k is also betting on random pump like you. The fact that crypto climate is changing. The volume is often jumping to the new tokens instead of going back to the old one. So i think the chance is small.

My argument is also being supported with how Quant was so damn slow in adapting to the trend. Honestly, i like their consistency to defend their product, but it's not how they can attract massive demand back to them.

Unless, they can start to leave their forgotten "Over Ledger" and start to follow the new trend. It's hard to expect them to get a massive pump.

Im not betting on a random pump. I believe it will go up, just not sure as to why its taken so long to get moving.

But i will continue to hold it as i see it going to at least $1k next few years as that would still only be a $12b market cap which is nothing in crypto so it has plenty of room to grow.

Im actually hoping we have another crash in the market soon so i can buy some more below $60.

First of all, you already said you were disappointed
Secondly, you also said that there was no significant increase, which means that Quant did not attract the interest of traders and investors, so simply put projects like that are better to avoid.
Because you have already jumped into buying the coin, it means you have to be careful to increase your position. DCA is fine, but there must be fundamentals that you find because just hoping is not enough.
Third, you compare the scarcity of bitcoin with the scarcity of Quant. That is already a fatal mistake because it cannot be compared, remember it is not a matter of which amount is less but which one has more market confidence and widespread adoption.

Not holding that. But expect these scenarios in the altcoins because it requires them quite big market cap for them to move.

It's good that you did your research but, listening to people saying that their favorite altcoins reaches quite high prices. Don't give yourself with big hope in it. Calculate how much was the ATH compared to what you've heard and how much it has to multiply to that high they say.
