I think the poor, rich and wealthy all gamble for money but they do that in different methods but we only see the poor like the main people who go all out to make gambling their own source of income because they have nothing to defend themselves like the rich and wealthy who have money and can decide to act like they are gambling for the fun. Poor people gambling because many of them thinks gambling could gives huge money. They don't think gambling can takes their money but gambling as a way to make money shortly. They see from people who wins the money so thinks they can do the same.
