Honestly the line of regret drawn by op keeps continuing no matter what basically we always want more by getting deceive each time we place our money. Getting a higher profit than previous times still might be consider reason why traders fall in the line over and over meanwhile these risk are worth taking sometimes and knowing when to stop matters a lot else we just keep getting it wrong while the line of regret keeps increasing, trade or invest with the intention of setting a limit when necessary to avoid regret.

Regrets is usually at that occurrence where things seems to had gone contrarily against your plans and in trading or any source of opportunity to make incomes, if we looses it, we're definitely going to feel bad because that was a valuable just lost even though as we may keep encouraging it that we shouldn't trade in the market with our emotions.
Definitely one will feel that bad if looses it because trading is either not a fun as gambling but a marketplace where it's highly treated as a source of income. In that case, when we haven't been lucky to make it successful in the long run, the regrets will always be personal blame why you made those decisions after on you've lost values you can't afford to let go according to the saying that we should trade with caution so that we don't regret the outcome

Regrets do happen if you let things done become undone. When you are sure and capable of making an entry, yet you doubt yourself and you think its not the right time yet, so you missed an opportunity that could turn into your breakthrough after years of patiently understanding and holding your coins.

For some reasons, bitcoin investment can be a huge regret for others because they never have imagined that its high volatility could turn as its greatest advantage, when everyone is thinking that volatility could be a threat for bitcoin investment success.

But in the long run, those who are in regrets usually stem from lack of faith for bitcoin, or let's say those who still believe that bitcoin is a ponzi scheme and any success that would link to bitcoin is just faked or being staged.

Wasteful regret occurs when someone doesn't strive for improvement, ultimately deciding to give up. Many people fail early on before achieving success. When someone is involved in trading or investing, it's perfectly normal to experience losses at the start, perhaps because their knowledge and experience are still lacking. In situations like this what we need to do is improve our skills and learn more to understand trading and investing properly.

Once everything is learned properly, we also need to set certain limits, such as limiting losses in trading and always controlling greed so that we don't expect large profits. Investing is much easier and less risky, but it also requires knowledge to engage in it using a much more effective method, especially when entering the market to accumulate purchases and knowing when to sell them.

Just regret will not fix your situation, you need to rise back and learn the mistake so you can fix it and start new thing. Regret comes from the mistake you make so you should introspect and finds the mistake.

I always felt after my life experience there are 2 types of people. People with regrets, and people without Bitcoiners too for sure!!

One thing I have got to understand about regret is that, you will feel more regret for the actions you fail to take, than the one's you took and failed, especially when you later discovered that it later went as predicted.
Most of the Bitcoin haters we have today are angry that they miss the opportunity of buying it when it was below $100, they are just hoping that Bitcoin crashes down to zero, so that it's going to make them feels better, that their actions was the right thing, but secretly they are in pain that they didn't bought it when it was just a few box of dollars, so regret are part of life, but how you react to opportunities the next time is what going to determine if you have actually learnt from your mistakes in the past or not.

It depends on the emotion involved. With friendships and human relationships, yeah I think you regret more when you didn't do them because of the 'what if'.

But with financial decisions, sure I 'regret' not getting into Bitcoin earlier or selling at ATH or whatever but it does not compare to the regret of losing actual money on bad decisions. I do regret trading and wasting many years... but at the same time, I'm where I am today because of those mistakes so, I guess. No regrets

To avoid this from happening again in the first place you must need to understand how it works, if it has potential, ideal to hold or just a quick flip. Regret comes from dissatisfaction with the current situation. We always think that tomorrow, next week, next month, next year will be better than now. But when it doesn't meet our expectations, that regret will come. 
No one regrets in the beginning, but we should be able not to avoid repeating the regrets we have experienced today. When the price drops, you delay buying because you hope the price will drop further. But when in reality the price goes up in a short time, all you feel is doubt to buy. 
Everyone has their own regrets.

The regret you described above is because you considered the past as heaven because you didn't try to remember how anxious you were at that time. If you were to go back a few years, you might have been afraid that Bitcoin would die and you might have panicked when the world was hit by Covid, but now your imagination is starting to dream of "How lucky I would have been if I had bought a large amount of Bitcoin at that time.

The illusion of control also often makes investors feel like they've missed the best opportunity, even though the main principle of Bitcoin is that no one ever knows for sure when it's at a peak or a deep valley. But your brain always sends signals to always beat yourself because you have passed the best moment, even though at that time no one ever knew what would happen today. Never regret what you have done in the past based only on the data in the present, you must accept the decisions made in the past using the information available at that time, according to me that is the way to break the chain of regret.

That is a stupid question to ask or say it as a statement in 2026 because anyone with a decent IQ can say that bitcoin has grown cycle after cycle so if they bought in 2020 and now selling, they will still be making profits even on the day we consider as very bad from its peak, that is what bitcoin is for you.

It is still possible to miss the opportunity again in the moment that you've learned from the past. And that's because of the circumstances that you're facing. You might be prepared for buying one but prior to that, there's something that has happened and you are in need of fund to spend it onto other important things and that's what I am saying that there's still a possibility to miss the opportunity when you're not expecting things to come. Although I agree that they now have a choice, it's now or never for them or commit the same mistake that can lead them to regret.

The source of regret is the same for everyone, and it is always that gap between what you knew and how you acted on it. There is no point in regretting things that we could not have known. If we do, then that's an extra burden we are putting on ourselves. That's why we only regret the times when we had the information, felt the intuition, saw the opportunity, and still did not act. That gap between knowing and doing is where we regret the most, and it lives permanently haha.

We have to follow a strict plan and be disciplined, and show some confidence, because if we don't, then a lot of people will regret it in 2027 and in 2028 and so on, because they showed a lack of confidence.

I don't really think anyone knows actually how things would play out as an end result mostly when it concerns bitcoin investment and best time to liquidate or diversify portfolio.
Regret is just a psychological trap I would say and overthinking most times lead to this.

As long as the halving has been successful, Bitcoin has remained valuable and with just some few coins to get to the original 21 million cap, the only regret I see for anyone here and out there with the knowledge of Bitcoin and cryptocurrency and the Blockchain and has refused to take advantage of it from any particular moment, is the statement of had I known, when the realization dawns.

I think regret mostly comes from overthinking the past and wishing we acted differently when we didn’t know better at the time. Take for instance the Delima of Bitcoin, someone didn’t buy in 2015 and regrets it later, then when they finally buy, they regret not buying more and if the price drops, they regret buying at all. It just keeps going like that. Same thing in normal life too. Someone might regret not studying harder last year, but then this year they still procrastinate and later regret this year again. So it becomes a cycle. So in the end of it all, regret comes from always looking backward instead of accepting that you made the best decision you could at that moment.

Regrets arises as a result of an/some actions and inactions that either took or didn't take. At some point in our lives we all have something to regret about, for some it could be dire, for others mild, but having to live in regrets than growing above them is where the whole essence lies.
Jus as in bitcoin, the opportunity are in prices, some persons may have being regretting for not buying when they first heard of it when it was deep cheap, but what's the point regretting it daily when you could still buy accumulatively and hold and become part of the future investors.

It is a natural phenomenon for humans to regret, even our maker had regrets after making us hence regretting is going to be something you should expect from everybody. The founder of Bitcoin will probably have some regrets he has of his own that is why Bitcoin is not 100% without flaws. The inability to accept decisions we have made and move forward can cause us a lot that is why it is important that despite of what we do we should always be moving forward and not allow our regrets to keep us down.

We should also learn from the regrets that we had in the past and make better decisions in the future to avoid having more regrets. When the price of Bitcoin is high and you are a trader it is better you take profit than to ignore the profit and then start regretting when the price of Bitcoin starts falling later. Buying and selling is quite an easy thing to do if you just understand how the market moves and not be sentimental about the things you do.

In the context of Bitcoin it's easy to feel regret for not starting over or for feeling regret every year for missing the best opportunity to profit. I would also say that regret comes from knowing but not having the courage. If you think that the price will go up, but fear that you could be wrong and not invest, and then it goes up, you made a mistake.

This is the regret, if you thought that it would go down, but feared selling because you feared you could be wrong, and then it went up, you would be happy to be wrong and then feared following through, you made money from your mistake. So that means, you have to be correct, but not have the courage to follow through, in order to feel regret.

Regretting doesn't fix any problems, but it makes things worse, because when you always stay regretful for things you've done in the past, you will star overthinking, and when you overthink, you basically allow your brain to get clogged with so much negativity and useless thoughts about what you should have done that could save you from the regret you are having, and overall, it gets too messy. This is why, we shouldn't let our regrets cloud our minds and make us mentally crippled so that we don't get to do things in the present as well, and then regret this in the future again.

So the right way to deal with regrets is to only think about ways to tackle similar things and situations in the future so that you don't be regretful again in the future. You make mistakes, and then you learn from them, so that you don't repeat those mistakes again, but if you make mistakes, and then spend all your time regretting about them and blaming yourself for it, then you won't really get anything productive out of all this, and without productivity, you can't progress, and without progress, there can't be success.

In trying not to have regrets, you may just be reacting too early, responding to FUD. You can also regret selling too early if things turn and bitcoin's value starts to increase again.

I was having a deep thought on this recently, a friend of mine said, someone instructed them never to buy Bitcoin now until it falls to $40k, I told him he's going to regret it for listening to him. Reason is that, he might have the cash to purchase but won't, while the price will start rising upward till 80-100k, then he'll now regret for not buying at the current price.

Then I told him to best way to not regret is buying at the current price no matter what, that every time is the best time to acquire Bitcoin, waiting for a specific price won't end well at all.
