BTC Burger: real-time crypto purchasing power in burgers, iPhones, gold, etc.

Hey everyone,

I recently built a small project called BTC Burger.
The idea is simple: instead of showing crypto only in USD, it shows what your crypto can buy in real-world items — burgers, coffee, gold, oil, cars, etc.

Think of it like a real-time Big Mac Index, but for crypto.

Examples:
1 BTC = 14,100 Big Macs
1 BTC = 64 iPhone 17 Pro Max
1 BTC = 16 oz of gold

It’s not a trading platform — nothing is sold here, just a way to visualize crypto purchasing power.

Would love to get feedback from the community:
- does this idea make sense?
- what features should be added to the website?
- what items would be useful or fun to add?

That is so unnecessary but so cool at the same time. Excellent work.

Regarding the users suggesting new items, you could make a form on the website, instead of collecting suggestions through twitter or email, so users can stay on the site.

Yes, I was thinking of conducting polls on the website to decide which new item to add

Right now, it looks like a plain crypto-exchange, which doesn't look fun, considering this site is meant to be fun and informative, right? How about instead of that, place a big Burger in the center, then below it is the number of Burgers per 1 Bitcoin, or whatever value a user puts in it. Or you could also fill half of the screen with lots of burgers, maybe add a little animation, like they are falling from the top, filling the screen up. Then, include some numbers below it, and a box where users can change what item they want to compare it with.

Funny little website, but I think burgers are also shrinking in time and they are not the same size as they were in 2009 or before that.

A share button with the ability to pick two specific dates that clearly show the differences in that period ^{[in the current situation, it's limited to the present day]}.

- what items would be useful or fun to add?

Anything that's somewhat volatile and can be tracked ^{[e.g., popular stocks are a good starting point]}.
