I realized that since we are in a space with lots of preppers or people who feel things are not right with the world and don't consider it safe to build a future in it long term, it's important that those with the right knowledge in things like this help let others know how to go about it so that in the future we don't have a space full of people who didn't do well in life , probably like their "successful" peers about their age, and then be full of regrets for allowing "doomsday preachers"  put them in such "mess".

We are actually approaching the end. You can see how more unstable things have become around the world. That is actually a proof of a sick and dying world. Eventually the Earth's shield will become so weak that only few things are able to exist without being too volatile.

As a Prepper, the right way to go about it is to prepare like the world will end so soon. Focus more on building things that will help you survive and navigate such world. Don't abandon your role in life and become unprofitable. If you are meant to be an architect, continue to plan and build longterm especially with things that can survive and thrive a very volatile world. If you are meant to marry get married and raise kids,they would also benefit from antifragile things you built. Build things in such a way that if it happens that the world didn't end as expected, the things you built or own will be so useful in your future that you end up having enough for yourself and others, like your successful peers who didn't take the end of the world seriously.
But always remember not to be careless, live a sober life, and do what is right always so that If things end so quickly you will be well prepared and qualified to make it to the other side

I think that everyone who thinks this is the end times actually want it to be end times. That's like an ultimate climax and an easy solution to complex problems at the same time.
Even if we now have tools to make it real, i am doubting it happens as we still have strong need to survive as a species build on our dna.

In reality, this is likely just going to be another dark era that we are struggling trough.

Every single day in human's history there has been people who think that's end of times. These days that kind of thinking has escalated, because people are amplifying their fears trough social media, and we instantly hear about violent acts from anywhere at the world. That's not been possible before in any other era. Sure, it seems dark and "preparing" for the end sounds tempting, because it appeals to our survival instinct.

But let's say that the a-bombs drop and surface becomes unhabitable, are you really willing to live in that world in your isolated bunker? If things are bad now, they are going to be exponentially worse then.

I would say that instead of preparing to end of the world, we should be preparing for the times of healing and growing. Funny enough, that's not far from ideology in investing, that you should buy when there's blood in the streets, and not panic sell everything out of fear.

I don't mind anyone preparing for the "other side" what ever religious that means for them, but for me this is the only life i will ever got and that's why i am investing into my health and my loved ones.
And only things that i am preparing for is preparing my kids to have the tools to have best life possible. And i hope that i manage to live as a good example of a father for them.

I am more scared that I'd be worthless and do nothing than be scared that the world is about to end soon. I know that there will be an end for it but we have no control of it when it will actually come. Just be the better person or version of yourself. Continue to work on what you've been doing and productive with, whether it's with your career or your passion whatever it is as long as you're doing it for your growth. Most people are just trying to survive these days and yet, they're doing their best while they live and as long as they are not losing hope.

I don't believe we're already in the last days, I believe we have greedy billionaires pushing us to doomsday. Billionaires with zero respect for humanity and human race. The talks of end times being here do not scare the shit out of me. The only thing which leave me that way is having mu children here weak and helpless for greedy and egotistical billionaires to rape and kill.

I believe the marriage, kids and building something long-term that serves a purpose and that exits hundreds of years after I'm gone is worthwhile. Nobody wished not to see tomorrow, and this doesn't mean that we should fail to plan for ourselves over the future, because we may say that it may take longer and it become shorter while on the contrary we may also think that it won't take longer and we discover that we live beyond expectation, this is why life is unpredictable and we must breathe ourselves up for the task ahead in order for us not to be disappointed with failures around us and in what we do

Frankly I don’t think it makes sense to stop living your life because of fear of the end. Yes, things in the world are not perfect and sometimes look unstable, but that has always been the case in different times. If people in the past stopped planning, getting married or building businesses because of fear, many of the things we enjoy today wouldn’t exist. I just believe in balance. Prepare yourself, be wise, save money, learn useful skill but at the same time still live your life, make plans and build for the future. Imagine a scenario where someone refuses to start a business or family because the world might end, the person could end up regretting it if nothing actually happens. Meanwhile, someone else who planned and worked smart could still benefit from their efforts no matter what.

Many people in life are just too weak and shortsighted in life that they don't have the ability to withstand the pressures accompanied to life because, the life has never been made easy going except for those who've reliable backup.

I'm not the kind of being who thinks or bothers themselves about the end of the world. I live my life as simply as ever like there is no tomorrow. Living a life with no stress of giving myself high pressure to achieve the things I haven't achieved yet. The essence of life is to do good, good for oneself, good for the family and for the communal, all of that is the way of life, getting married, having children, buying worldly goods and achieving what we want is only part of life not the real essence.
 
As I said, we will not know the future, so do what you can do very well, thinking about the end times is not wrong, but it is not a good thing if it is too much to think about and question when it will happen.

Are you a prepper, Ucy?   I used to think about becoming one - now I just want to die on my own terms.  Either in the nuclear blast (if I am close enough), or in my bunker with a nitrogen exit bag.  (I guess in a small bunker you wouldn't even need the freezer bag).   The worst case scenario is to be injured or trapped and have no way to end your life, leading to days of suffering.

You must have a lot of energy, a lot of DIY skills and tight lips if you want to survive medium term, but long term survival will only be possible in compounds controlled by a militant force and structured duties.   Going to be racism, going to be lots of rape and rule of the fittest.    Why would you want to survive a nuclear war?

Even if we have had couple of conversation regarding the possibility of the current wars in some countries to cause World War but I have never think it in a way to stop myself from planning for my future, nobody even has an idea if there would be a world War ever again. If someone could have this thought and stop planning for there future, how would they even going to take it when they realize that everybody will definitely leave the world someday, so actually even the life itself is not permanent but people are living and working hard to become wealthy so that there family would continue there legacy. whether war or not nobody should stop future planing.

The world isn't going to end, it's the cycle the world is facing which seems to be reaching its 'gran finale'.

Chaos and order guarantee movement to life. Humanity has to reach the peak of chaos, so a new era of order may take place once again.

Nobody knows when exactly it's going to happen, though. There is a sense it's near, at same time it's been near for some years already. The point is, how much more hostility has to happen by there yet? how colder social interactions still have to get? Can relationships become more fake than they are right now?

It's exhaustive to see the world getting more absurd day by day, while concluding it's still not the peak yet...

Even if the world does end, then we are all pretty much screwed regardless.  However, if it does not, what will happen is that when you are 80 years old, you will finally recognize that you wasted your whole life just waiting around for something that never came.

The truth of the matter is that people have always been predicting the "end of days" for ages now, and all of them have been proven wrong eventually.  People who listened to them ended up poor, lonely, and filled with regret.  Living your life waiting for the apocalypse to happen is not "preparation" - its a slow-motion suicide of your potential.

This is not even about thinking of the end of the world but thinking about that we will leave the earth one day. I don't think majority of people thinks about the end of the world, what they think is death but the reasons why we still keep grinding and making plans for the future is because of our offspring. Life is just revolving around family so all our plans and achievements is for our family. Sometimes, it's really sad when you are working so hard to afford a better life and suddenly it struck to your mind that one will leave the earth with nothing despite all the labor.

I'm not sure of exactly where this question is coming from because it sounds a bit strange. I personally don't see a need for anyone to limit whatever they're doing to short term plans, just because they fear that the world might eventually end soon. You're literally putting yourself, especially your own future, in a tight spot if you consider doing this. Of course, I understand that the world keeps drifting and finding itself in a tougher position that can eventually snap at anytime, but it's still not enough reason to alter your own life plans.

Well, I'm not sure of how possible it is for everyone to get prepared if eventually the world decides to snap.
I guess it's best to just live life to the fullest, while doing the needful, and hope the world doesn't get snapped anytime soon.
