Yeah it doesn't make sense and it's bullshit...
I'll put it down to speculators in general, who I previously thought were practitioners but turned out to be just ordinary speculators, just like me and others in talking beautiful bedtime stories.
 
Not only competitors but their own internals are so out of whack right now that their L2s are being used as a sacrifice for the upgrades they are making to their networks in addition to their unlimited supply.

It's true that eventually ETH will be 60k, but the point is that he is expecting it to happen soon. This is the deceit, because lets face it, even he probably knows that it is not going to be 60k anytime soon.

And when you say "eventually" it will be, that means there will be time spent waiting on it to happen. So that means, if it happens too slow, then there were other investments that we could have done which would have been fine, but we did not do them.

I remember Cointelegraph doing this before. And that's giving voices to crazy predictions for unrealistic ideas both in markets and technology. I wonder how much this is just tactics of their interns, to find out most outlandish predictions and push that that content to get more clicks.

I mean it works in social media, why wouldn't some "news sites" copy it? And it's most important job for new employees to make more clicks for the site if they want to keep their jobs.

Also, when i was starting to trade, i made same kind of mistakes as this pro is doing with his straight projection meme lines next in a logarithmic chart.

On a stand point who's got some ETH. I also believe that it will happen but not anytime soon. There will be a time for it to happen maybe few more years. It won't happen in the nearest years but we have that thought it might be maybe a couple of more cycles before it does.

ETH is far from dying considering the TVL and daily transactions made in the blockchain, the coin failed to surpass previous ATH but it's the same to other altcoins.
Actually if ETH price keeps increasing every cycle, that'd be bad because the fee will also increase. Although Vitalik said Ethereum doesn't need L2 anymore because it's cheap enough, the price spike still happens frequently.

I'd also bet that ETH is far from dead, and the fact that it, along with altcoins has not pumped and generating profits in this cycle is completely normal. because this is a speculative market, and when everything becomes too predictable and everyone want to get rich quick. It is understandable that the market does not behave the way the crowd expects.

Those who say that ETH will soon die are simply frustrated because they put their faith in it, but things did not turn out the way they expected.

His company BitMine is one of the largest (if not THE largest) holders of Ethereum. It make perfect sense that he would make such statements, and he probably believes it too, otherwise he wouldn't be investing heavily on it as he is. Personally though, I don't see it happening, just like I don't see the 1M per Bitcoin by 2030.

Yes if you are heavily invested in a coin of course you would say absurd things about its growth because if you can persuade a lot of people to invest in it, you will win big. At least these are my thoughts.
