I can't believe that all four matches yesterday went to the favorites, I think that was the first full day of games in this tournament without a surprise, I kept the faith that the madness would pause for a day and went for a simple winner combination of all four favorites which paid off and keeps me in the black for now.
I am going to keep making my daily bets but my focus is going to be on bankroll management, It feels like this tournament is going to be about survival, slowly build up the bankroll without taking too many risks and then go all in during the semifinals and finals for the tournament win.

I already tapped out this round a while back. I was making poor picks and others were just going the other way. I needed a break to get to watch more of the teams play and will be back as the second round begins. I got some catching up to do but there are still so many matches to do that with.

My balance was $70 and I placed a $10 bet. Now my available is $70 and my current balance is $80 while they should be $60 and $70 respectively.
My bet also increased my score by 10 while it's still pending.

I played only 6 tickets, but still having 0 winning ones is getting on my nerves. The plan was to play 6 per round and then, after the group stage, 3 for every subsequent round. With the tempo I'm in, maybe in the end I will see only 1, or if lucky, 2 winning tickets . I will start round 2 strong with another 3 tickets, and if those fail, the rebuy option is on the menu.

It's just that the 'drag down' formula isn't automatic - so as long as you don't see an 'OK' in column K of the Submission form, that means that your bet still hasn't been processed.
It does take the wagered amount into consideration though - meaning that it temporarily changes balance.

Not ideal, I know, but look at the formulas. It got out of hand quickly so now I'm not touching something that isn't extremely problematic.

Check it now - I dragged the formula and your balance is OK.

To attempt to answer your mystery, value and longshot betting doesn't fit a short format, you need many, many bets for the type of strategy I employ. However, that discussion is irrelevant anyway as I no longer do what I used to do, and now bet like a hobo scraping fountains for pennies. Cro2 definitely need to calculate how far book's in the black atm. And that doesn't even include what we're betting outside BTB ha!

P.S. Unrelated or maybe even a little, but Rainbet is a really big pain for me to access so that is a small but persistent reason for me to always consider using them often. I'm at that grumpy old man age where if I need 10 attempts to login, and place a bet, and then get signed out to have to restart the process all over again, I'm ragebetting.

Yes,,, unfortunately, I am not going in again for now. It was very exhausting to make the picks and keep losing,,, after initially winning   I will leave it and keep supporting the capable hands of WPRA teammates.

Of course I understand the mathematics of this competition, how could you doubt me? 
My ass is a little burnt about that both bets in this pool that I carefully selected were lost, and the two bets that I made without even looking at who was playing (I chose based on the odds to burn freebets - closer to 3.5 as possible) both won.
I'm surprised to hear about your problems accessing Rainbet. For me, on the contrary (you know my situation  ), they are the most accessible.

I am still suffering from serious betting PTSD after some of the brutal beats we took during the first matchday, I'm sticking to my strategy of keeping both the total bet count and the stakes low and then saying a quick prayer and hoping for the best.
Every morning I look at the schedule and see all these tasty looking favorites but then I remember what happened with Switzerland, Spain and Portugal and then I feel like I should just take the day off, betting PTSD is real!
