Well is just incredible to say this but..... Argentina took my out of this competition, is over for me. I put some big bets (for me) to catch the fron and reach the last rounds with a decent chance of win but Argentina decide to keep joking and makes all the nation suffer and with that kill my bets, i only need a over 1.5 goals from Argentina to at least save my balance, but now Argentina score super early and decide to do nothing for the rest of the match.....

Despite this competitions and my bets, i cant understand why Argentina is playing like that and why Scaloni is having the worst of the coachs tricks in this world cup, and im talking about he is marrying with some players and dont making the substitutions he had to do.

I feel like this World Cup was one of the easiest ever to take money from the bookies. There was very little in a way of upsets. Just look at the last round. It is almost unheard that all 4 favourites pass to the quater finals.

If we are looking for the game that brought me the lead, that isn't both to score in Norway game. That is Merino late winner for the Spain. Only game that was hanging by a thread for me.

Had quite poor betting year before WC but looks like I will be handsomely in the black by the end of it.

We all know we never have to bet with the heart or based on emotions but believe it wasnt the case, it was pure rational bet, Argentina is one of the top goalscorer of the world cup and i thinked it was gonna be a much easier game than the other 2 for KO rounds since the european play can suit us better and because i was not expecting to see 3 bad games from argentina in a row. But well they cant manage to score 2 goals in regular time.

If it wasn't for those Argentina matches against Egypt and Switzerland I would have double my current score in the contest and a lot more money sitting in my personal account. Unfortunately the national team has not only made us suffer emotionally, which we're already used to as Argentines, but they’ve also dealt us a financial blow.

I had highly accurate predictions for almost all the other matches except for our own games, but despite these painful losses, my patriotic optimism is still intact, I desperately want us to win the World Cup and I will keep betting on the Albiceleste to lift the trophy until my very last penny is gone.

With only four games left in the tournament I think it's time for me to start placing bigger bets, I still have a path to make it into the top 5 of the standings but I just need to make sure I don't mess up any more of my selections and nail these final picks. My strategy throughout this tournament was to play it safe early on making small bets with medium odds to build a foundation and then to go hard in the final rounds, I accomplished the first phase and now I'm ready to execute the rest of the plan.

The fact that the favorites are riding like they're on rails is truly surprising. Not a single upset in the quarterfinals. In the 1/8 finals, only the victories of Norway and Switzerland were surprises. Looks like easy money if you only bet on qualification.
But still, if we are talking about earnings, then it is easy to “understand” when everything has already happened   I have a friend who burned 90% of the money he had prepared for the World Cup at the Spain-Cape Verde game, and after it he was no longer able to take advantage of the tournament's generosity.

I guess we can confirm what @KTChampions mentioned last time that this is not a good World Cup for bookies. There is a very rare occurrence in any tournament where the top 5 favorites, 3 are in the semifinals (Argentina was 6th favorite I remember because I took the outright at 12x).

And if you look at all the teams, none of them lost any games, and only 3 draws shared between all.

For bookies to be winning, favorites must lose and the only big favorite I can remember losing as a shock are Brazil and Germany.

Like @Trofo said, purely favorites winning, so probably the most bookie unfriendly tournament I can remember.

If you are betting, then the statistics are pushing you to bet France and England... being the favorites.

Yes i also think we are like a "mirror" team which level up when the rival is better and play slow when the rival is weaker but despite that im also waiting to see them recovering the normal performance of our national team, until Cape Verde match we were at good pace but since there we are not playing any good.

But i trust the team and jsut with 2 games remaining i know they are gonna give it all. We hope for the best.

Spain the far better team in the first half, I think they have contained France well. Obviously a long way to go and France have so many top attacking players but Spain are doing much better than I thought.

What absolute madness!! To think that this incredibly stacked French attack went 80 minutes without a single shot on target is unheard of. I don’t know if France underestimated Spain or just lost their identity on the pitch but Spain came out with a masterclass leaving us who gambled on France completely out in the cold, I tried to hunt down the leaders but it backfired in the most brutal way.
Now all of my tournament hopes are riding on that outright bet for Argentina. It's officially allin or die time, most of my balance will be on Argentina tomorrow, we need that final spot boys!
