In my opinion, Bitcoin is a store of value like gold and could even be called digital gold. In fact, I think BTC is even better than gold in terms of storing value. Saving money in BTC has the potential to be more profitable than storing it in gold, as long as it's stored for a very long time. Meanwhile, I think BTC can also be called a digital currency because it was created by Satoshi Nakamoto as electronic money We can use it as a tool for cross-border transactions and it's certainly decentralized

Bitcoin is better as a store of value than gold is highly disputed.  Bitcoin is highly volatile, but it being a store of value needs a steady value to preserve the purchasing power overtime.  It is not defined by increasing price but rather by being stable enough to hold the value in the long run.

Currently, many people are confused because of the fluctuating price of BTC, so some are certainly confused about buying and selling using BTC However, I believe BTC is currently in the development stage, so I believe there is potential for BTC in the future. Its volatility will not be too high, making it comfortable for people who want to use BTC as a digital currency That's just my opinion, and please forgive me if I'm wrong, as I'm still a beginner

As you stated, Bitcoin being in a developing stage makes a lot of arguments about its value preserving value.  Just check how Bitcoin value devaluate after reaching its ATH, making people lose the value of their holdings after purchasing at ATH, although in the past history, it recovered and even broke its ATH, how long can it perform such a cycle?

I also agree that Bitcoin was first created as a digital currency, but how holders make use of its store of value capability can also make it a digital gold.

The main aim why bitcoin was created  was for people to have full access to their money without waiting for banks and to also get rid of government.
You're right. Everything with BTC is fully digital, and its core value proposition goes way beyond traditional assets. Gold is only ahead because of thousands of years of history and its established role during fiat crises, which gives it universal trust.

With BTC, it's just a matter of time before those who don't hold it yet realize its necessity. People call it "digital gold," and while there are various tokens trying to mimic store of value properties, BTC stands alone. As I've said before, Bitcoin is far more valuable and superior to physical gold in the long run.

Gold have been long there before Bitcoin so there won't be much need for comparison and gold is also used as a means of payment so there is every reason why people still put there trust in gold than Bitcoin especially the older people it will still take time for them to understand how bitcoin works and there people that if you should keep Bitcoin and gold we know what some people will choose.

Yes people will soon understand the value of bitcoin and the number of adoption have increased and we did and now they are also seen how valuable holding it can be so they also don't want to take chances everybody wants to be part of bitcoin because the prices and the profits it brings eventually after buying and holding for some time.

From the start, Bitcoin was indeed designed as a P2P electronic money system, as clearly stated in the whitepaper. Its technical goal was to create a decentralized medium of exchange that could be a real alternative to fiat currencies with poor systems but over time its high price volatility made it serve as a long term store of value.

So, it can be said that Bitcoin has two advantages at once on one hand, it still offers the potential as a decentralized digital currency and on the other, its volatility actually becomes an attraction for investors looking for assets with high appreciation potential. So I think saying Bitcoin is digital gold doesn't really fit because Bitcoin is much more than that.

OP, Digital Gold basically refers to the limited supply of Bitcoin, the ability to control one's own assets without intermediaries and the possibility of long-term value storage. However, these don't explain all the features of Bitcoin. Satoshi Nakamoto presented Bitcoin as a P2P Electronic Cash System in his 2008 white paper and the most important thing is to create a system for sending digital money from one person to another without intermediaries. So the main idea of Bitcoin isn't limited to investment or wealth storage but more than these, for example: many see it as an effective hedge against inflation and as a protector against the depreciation of the local currency and as a store of value. So I agree with you that calling it just digital gold would be underestimating its many opportunities and possibilities.

IMO, this is an economic revolution that forces the entire system to crack down on injustice, corruption, and abuse of sole power and to reorganize the new economy, the use of Bitcoin is expanding over time which will be more in the future.

well, when it comes to usecase, bitcoin play a lot more role than just an medium of exchange and an asset.

it can also serve as an inflation hedge, store of value, a way to move money across border. but we gotta be honest here mate, most of us today are only using it as a financial tool to get rich. very few people actually have a real need for it in any of those other use cases.

having plenty of potential use cases doesn't mean all those roles are widely adopted IRL tho.

You know this is very real because I have a friend who's quite old, but he owns businesses, and he tells me he only trusts gold, that he keeps physical gold, he doesn't trust stocks or anything like that. His businesses are more tangible, like owning trucks and working for well known companies.

Currently, he's had to give up those businesses because a problem arose with his son. He got into serious trouble and had to sell everything so his son wouldn't be financially ruined. Now he has a small store where he sells some household products and groceries, something very small compared to what he had, say, back in the 70s, when I wasn't even born.

When I told him about BTC, especially what it meant and how to use the DCA method, he seemed very interested, but I could see he didn't trust BTC much. He said that at his age it's hard to trust things, but that if I talked to him, he knew it wasn't a scam or anything like that because he trusted me.

Sometimes people need to change their perspective on technology and the economy, because everything in this world is changing and we have to adapt to what's new and better. For me, gold will always remain the same in its value and history, but BTC is much better.

Did you know currently US company Marathon Fission is working on Gold like they want to manufacture Gold...... Recently they made a reactor through which they will collide few element such as tritium, Helium-4, 2H, mercy etc to produce Gold..... So what would happen if they got succeeded in Gold manufacturing like Gold will have a infinity supply and ultimately at results we would see some massive impact on Gold......

So now ask your friend what would you do if the Gold has been manufacture on this way like Gold will have massively lose his adoption despite Bitcoin will have become more valuable then Gold because of limited supply......

However, everyone have their own view and preference but personally I trust Bitcoin because Bitcoin is one of the best hedges against inflation in current economics framework..

Money historically evolves in stages: first a store of value, then a medium of exchange, and finally a unit of account. Bitcoin is currently solidifying its position as digital gold. As market cap grows and volatility settles over time, spending adoption will follow naturally.

Is Bitcoin a store of value or medium of exchange? Or can it be both? I always thought Bitcoin made more sense as digital gold since it has all the benefits of gold yet none of the defects of gold.
The volatility of Bitcoin makes me feel like it doesn't make sense as a form of digital currency. I'm open to hear why Bitcoin makes more sense as a digital form of currency.
I also think Bitcoin can be better argued as digital gold. Since Bitcoin is now used as a direct store of value in most countries and by most investors, it is not currently being valued as a currency. However, if all countries in the world were to use Bitcoin as a payment system or as a means of transaction, then perhaps it would be more recognized as a digital currency.
