No matter how expensive houses are they are still once peoples can afford, one must not leave in a van or tent house , in this part of region , if you can’t afford standard  one bedroom , you can go for self contain , if such money is not available you go for one room and the one room has different amount , you will definitely see the one you can afford , things can’t be worst where one cannot afford somewhere to rest their head after a long day ,so no matter the situation or how expensive things and houses is now , trust me their is always a way out , even in the hardship many are still paving way for themselves and living the life they can afford.

The cost of living is really high this is a fact I can’t deny but people who work far from home have to make ends meet. They’re lucky if their company provides housing, but most aren’t so fortunate, so they have to rent a place to survive.

I’ve been in that situation myself since commuting home after work took a long time, and the same went for getting to work, I had to rent a place. That arrangement ended when I stopped working there because I found a job fairly close to home, so I no longer needed to rent.

Looking ahead, I’m certainly thinking about my own future including wanting to own my own home, and I’m working hard to achieve that which is one of the ways to make it happen.

Housing problem is a global problem and not just peculiar to the United states or a section of the world. The fact that people easily adapt to the current situation even makes it more deficult because wether you like it or not, an average person will have to start his life with house rentage and with the high cost of getting one, it ends up becoming even more deficult to rent an apartment that's conducive for the average dude.

It has always been a general problem from the beginning, and the reason why it is so difficult right now is because of the economy. One thing about getting a place to stay is that if you are looking for a comfortable option, you may be discouraged to even make plans for it. As for someone who is trying to meet their housing needs, the appearance of an apartment shouldn't be the main concern. The main concern should be whether you can afford to pay for it and also manage other expenses; this is the most important thing. The mistake some people make is paying for an expensive apartment and then struggling to meet other demands because they can't really afford it. Go for what you can afford, and later on, when things get better, you can pay for something better; that is how it is supposed to be.

U can have normal job live in uk or canada usa or even eu but u cant afford rent your real option are in order to save stay in "streets homeless" but you can still do that with style buy the van build it like home with wheels or live in the good tent.

In london you pay even for one room 1000£ thats grazy rather buy the good tent and live there and for safety have dog to guard and protect you.

Rents are high, yes, but it should not be that high as if you are unable to afford it.
If you are earning a decent amount of money from your job then you should be able to afford rent.

Unfortunately that is true. There are many situations that increases the price of things, and it does not increase the salaries. Thankfully this year I did get a good increase and doing alright, I was in big debt, but I paid my very last debt this month and now I will have a better life hopefully. I am still getting treatment, but it should not be too long, by autumn or so I should be healed.

But many people are not lucky like that, I wasn't lucky like that for the past five years, we all live in an inflationary world where we make similar money and do not get richer. And more importantly, even if you do get paid more, eventually when salary increases, that happens once a year, whereas items go up in price during the year.

Well, it's obviously difficult for the working class who are employed to earn either a minimum or average wage that doesn't even allow them to get through the period after which they would get paid again, and in such conditions, if inflation increases even more, things will surely get more difficult. However, I don't really think that people can't afford renting places, especially if they at least have an income no matter how low it is, because you should be living in a place based on how much money you make, like if you are just making the bare minimum, you shouldn't think of living in a big house in a posh area, but you should look for any accomodation possible with your income, and manage accordingly.

With how things are going in the world, the poor will keep getting poorer and the rich will keep getting richer, and eventually, these problems will increase exponentially. In fact, those in the middle class will get poor as well, because if inflation goes higher, and you still make the same amount of money, you will surely not be able to cope with everything, and eventually, you will start getting so much debt that you won't be able to pay it, and interests will keep piling up, and you will eventually end up becoming poor.

Purchasing power decreasing day by day, businessess and jobs are also affected because of reduced demands of goods . A normal job? You mean a worker earning the Minimum wage or even more can’t afford to rent? I don’t think that’s true! The minimum wage in UK is around £12 per hour, so for someone working 8 hours a day…that’s £96 per day and around £1920 or more per month, for someone earning such a mouth even after taxes and bill he should be able to afford atleast a small room in a remote area.

Everyone can afford to live normally, but some enjoy a luxurious life and some enjoy a normal life, not everyone can earn the same amount of income. The more they work hard and create new techniques and update their skills in line with the times, they will definitely be able to earn a good amount of income and enjoy a good life. If someone cannot earn a lot of money, because everyone is human, some are earning billions of dollars and some are not able to earn thousands of dollars, the difference is that one has worked a lot and is creating something new using his talent. And the other has lived a lazy life and had no confidence in himself, which is why he is a failure.

That's true here in our country: only executives and those working abroad and earning dollars can afford to build a house. If you're a minimum-wage earner, your salary is good for a small room because rent will eat up 30 to 40% of your pay, and for yo family to live in an apartment, both couples should work to combine their earnings.

I don't know the country you live in but here in my country, rent is close to becoming unaffordable to average income earners. professionals like doctors, teachers and even layers who depends solely on their salaries spend up to 40% of the income on rent, leaving most of them working just to pay rent. The sad reality is that the rent keeps going up every year and there are no price control in place to checkmate the excesses of the landlords. Government have tried to intervene but they lack the morale justification to do so because their policies lead to the high cost of building materials and unprecedented inflation which is part of the rationale for the soaring cost of rent.

I think the issue with rent is not peculiar to my country as I have friends abroad who also complain that rent take a large chunk of their earnings. I don't know where we are headed to but if things continue this way, a lot of people will slide into depression. I think it's more deeper, modern development defined by economic growth, industrialization, and commodification of basic needed. So it is not about developer don't care people need but when economic growth used as main indicator of development, many sector like housing change their function. Previously housing is a necessity now it is treated as investment asset and a proof of achievement and instrument of capital accumulation. I think this is bad impact of industrialization when mass production practiced, business man not think about what society needed but their priority are what the most profitable to produce, this reason which make developer more interested building premium housing instead of affordable house, its all about the money.

Marketing plus advertising also make everything more temptating on consumer economy, an ordinary goods magically can be elevated to a symbol of class, prestige and success and its also happen in housing, which cause a home value not determined by its function as dwelling but by its symbolic and investment value. Investor more responsive to the purchasing power of capital instead of the needed of majority society. Simply said its built not to meet the housing needed of wider society but to satisfy the logic of growth, investment and consumption status.
