Hello there,

I signed up to Winna months ago, played there a lot, and eventually reached Gold VIP status. I was down nearly 10k when my account got closed.

The day it all happened, last Friday, they released both the monthly and weekly bonuses together. I didn’t have any balance in my account, and I received around 380 USDT. I placed some bets until I got up to around 875 USDT, then requested a withdrawal.

All my withdrawals had always been instant before, but this time they told me I had to wait. After 1–2 hours, seeing that it still hadn’t been processed, I cancelled it and submitted a smaller 300 USDT withdrawal, which was processed.

Then I submitted another 300 USDT withdrawal and kept placing some bets. This second 300 USDT withdrawal was declined, but this time the money wasn’t returned to my balance. I made another 100 USDT withdrawal request, and the same thing happened: declined, and the money was never returned to me.

At that point, I still had 300 USDT in my balance, and they removed that too. In total, between the declined withdrawals and the confiscated balance, they owe me around 700 USDT, actually a few dollars more than that.

Here you can see the withdrawal section:

https://i.imgur.com/Be9CBdh.jpeg

It felt really strange, so I contacted their support and they told me their team would review this “technical error”. Of course, there was no technical error.

From that moment on, they banned me from the chat. My messages still appeared as delivered on my end, but other users couldn’t see them. Basically, they silenced me so I couldn’t tell people what was happening. https://i.imgur.com/ZnQJ8Yy.jpeg (left my chat logged in, right winna.com real chat in incognito mode). Their previously fast support suddenly became unresponsive and slow, taking ages to reply. At that point, I knew where this was going.

This is the message they sent me the next day:

https://i.imgur.com/C9LYZl1.jpeg

> “Hi there! I am so sorry for the delay. I just got an update from our team. Please note that your account was closed and also the funds were removed as per management decision and cannot be reopened. This is final decision by them.”

No further explanation. Just “haha, we took your money, fuck you.”

Before anyone asks, all my bets that day were on liquid, or almost liquid, markets. Nothing weird happened, and those winnings were completely legit. If you don’t want me in your casino, that’s perfectly fine. Just pay me my money, close my account, and say goodbye. But not this way. Not with me.

Of course, I’ve already consulted a local lawyer I know, who also has a connection with a colleague in Costa Rica, and I’ve sent them a formal complaint following their own guidelines. In two days, we’ll start contacting my local gambling authority, their license holder in Canada, and begin legal proceedings in Costa Rica, while I share my story on every forum, review portal, and eventually on several websites we plan to create and promote.

If anyone needs more information or screenshots, I have the full chat history, all my deposits and withdrawals, and everything else related to my account.

I saw they threatened other users who complained with legal action. Well, IDGAF. That won’t work with me, since I have both the money and the time to deal with you.

And as a final recommendation: if you care about your money, stay away from these scammers.

Best regards, forum!

Lately I saw many accusation threads against Winna with various stories. Many of them are active as they are pending unresolved cases. It is like Winna is the new bc.game scam casino. Before going through juridictions and tribunals, I suggest you try to contact their representative [1] here by sending him a forum pm or by posting in their ANN thread [2]. I guess he might reply if you use this topic as a reference. 700$ is not a big money but I can't defend their statue of innocence if they confiscated the funds without an explanation.

I agree, it’s a ridiculous amount of money, but it’s my money.

And honestly, imagine what they’d do with bigger amounts. How are you supposed to feel safe playing for high stakes if they’re already pulling this kind of crap over 700 USD? Just look at that chat reply… WTF is that? Lol. It’s a joke. No info, no accountability, just a big “fuck you”.

I’ve been checking several threads around here, and in some cases they told users their accounts were closed because they were flagged as fraudsters for doing “value betting”.

What even is value betting? It’s simply a user placing bets on overpriced odds, which are supposed to reflect the implied probability of an outcome. But putting up the odds is your job. Unless the user is exploiting an obvious/manifold error, if someone is getting an edge from your odds, your risk management should be to limit their stake sizing down to almost zero, like all the big bookies do, Bet365, WH, etc. Then pay this guy out and ban his IP, crypto addresses, fingerprint and whatever else you need to ban. That’s fair. Returning only the initial deposits is already shady as hell, but confiscating all the money is just insane.

You can’t just call people fraudsters for doing your job better than you. Well, actually, they didn’t even do that themselves, they just pay Betby to manage all the risk. But judging by those forum replies, you can clearly see what kind of people they are. How can they seriously think they’re in the right here?

I find all of this completely unnecessary. Just give me my money, shake my hand, and we’ll never see each other again.

Since they’re trying to cancel our gaming contract, my lawyers suggested filing a civil claim to have it declared void from the beginning and claim back all deposited amounts. And I’m not the kind of guy who makes empty threats. In two days, we’ll move forward with the plan to get this resolved in a not-so-friendly way.

The Winna representative can reply here publicly. I’ve also messaged him and Paul on Telegram.

If anyone else got scammed by Winna, message me. I’ll let you join a joint action for free, I’m covering all the costs.

Best regards.

I mean we don't know what happened, basically it's your word against theirs. Maybe you can upload more screens from example your betting history and so on, that makes it easier to paint a picture here.
Yet when closing an account out of the sudden a player can at least expect an explanation or something. An empty email saying "we closed your account, deal with it" is ridiculous and unfortunately common practice from casino sites. I wonder why they sent a first withdrawal and then collected the rest of all the sudden, doesn't make too much sense honestly. But yet, what does make sense in cases like this lately.
I mean putting a player through something like this over 700$ (while being down 10k) is questionable by itself already.

Maybe they needed some cash since paying out monthly (according to them on X it was the biggest monthly ever they paid) and weekly on the same day.  Roll Eyes

It's a bit of a strech to call them that, there's only been 3 threads on scam accusation board made about them.

And then there's this thread.

Hello there,

I signed up to Winna months ago, played there a lot, and eventually reached Gold VIP status. I was down nearly 10k when my account got closed.
It seems you have a similar case with the guy who made a complaint about them on AskGamblers.
https://www.askgamblers.com/casino-complaints/winna-casino-unable-to-withdraw
BTW, have you checked your registered email for any updates from them? In the other thread (well, on a screenshot), they told the complainant that updates about their case are only sent via registered email.
You could also file a complaint on AskGamblers. Although looking at that 1 unresolved complaint, it might also take a while before they respond there.

Were you playing casino games or placing bets on sports events? It looks like you were placing bets on the sports event. Maybe the odds provider of Winna (Betby) has made the primary decision of closing your account. But the Winna team should have given you further details for closing your account permanently. It will be better if you add the screenshot of your bets.

Well, I disagree with that.

It would be my word against theirs if I had simply shared my experience, but this is backed up by screenshot evidence that supports what I’m saying: the denied withdrawals, the support chat reply, how they muted my account so my messages wouldn’t show in the chat, etc. So the story can be checked for consistency, plus I’ve also offered to provide any extra info that might be relevant.

The reply from the Winna representative in the support chat actually supports my version too.

About the withdrawal that was processed, honestly, I think they approved it by mistake. Right after that withdrawal was approved, they cancelled the ones I made afterwards without returning the balance, and then deducted the remaining funds. If I had to bet (hehe) I’d say someone clicked the wrong button.

And yeah, the whole story makes no sense. But then you see similar experiences from other users and you realize it’s a pattern, not just an isolated case.

Lately I saw many accusation threads against Winna with various stories. Many of them are active as they are pending unresolved cases. It is like Winna is the new bc.game scam casino.

And then there's this thread.

There are more similar threads, both on this forum and on others, and some of them were only resolved after the issue went public.
The Winna representative shows up and, once the story starts getting attention from the community, they suddenly make the decision that should’ve been made from the very beginning: pay the player.
But what if you don’t complain? What happens then? Do they just keep your money while muting you in their chat, closing your account, and deleting the support chat history?
It’s honestly shameful. Their actions speak worse about them than I ever could.

Hello there,

You could also file a complaint on AskGamblers. Although looking at that 1 unresolved complaint, it might also take a while before they respond there.

Of course, I also filed a formal complaint to complaints@winna.com, forwarded to support@winna.com as well, and so far I haven’t received any reply.

My messages to Bennet and Paul on Telegram haven’t even been read, let alone answered.

My account has been deleted and I’ve lost access to it. Support chat either doesn’t reply or just tells me to submit the complaint by email. In the support message itself, they clearly state that the decision is final and that there’s no review process ongoing.

> “Hi there! I am so sorry for the delay. I just got an update from our team. Please note that your account was closed and also the funds were removed as per management decision and cannot be reopened. This is final decision by them.”

A mix of both, although I’d say around 90% sports betting.

And if that was the case, they could have:

1. Told me about it.
2. Restricted only my sports betting, or limited my stakes to pennies like other operators do.
3. If they wanted to close my account, let me withdraw first and then close it afterwards.

I have no problem with a casino not wanting me as a customer. But my money is my money.

About the betting history, I don’t have access to the account anymore, and there were hundreds of bets.

What I can say is that the disputed winnings came from maybe 5–10 bets. Nothing weird at all — goal overs in medium/big leagues. Gamble tips. If Winna wants to and thinks something is shady, they can post it here.

Thank you for the notice. People are rising accusations in and outside the forum. As for accusations made in bitcointalk, I checked the board for old from months and I was surprised that almost all of them have been resolved. They took time but got resolved at the end.

Back to OP, I suggest you to reserve this thread focusing on your case alone because you don't know what might happen tomorrow. i see you are calling other accusers to join a filled joint against Winna. What if your case reaches a solution by tomorrow, would you still be interested in continue the lawsuit in behalf of other accuser and even fund the process from your pocket?

In this case, I doubt there’s going to be any friendly resolution, although I’m still open to one. This isn’t an “account review” that’s taking too long, and they’re not even just giving me the runaround.
They’ve deleted all my records and my account, muted my chat, declined withdrawals, confiscated my balance, and confirmed via chat that this is a final decision.
I’ve been betting for 20 years, so this isn’t the first time I’ve seen this pattern. I don’t see any route left other than civil litigation.
The reason I’m looking for more affected users is that I want to submit a list of multiple cases to their licensing regulator. One unhappy user is just an anecdote. A dozen is a pattern of scam/abuse.

Then you have a legit cause to continue with the lawsuit even if they decide to appear and solve the dispute with you. What made me refrain is the note from julerz about the number of resolved issues with Winna vs only two cases that are still pending (this one and another). The 700$ confiscated amount is not a considerable amount as they spend a good budget weekly in promotion in bitcointalk. I doubt that they were intended to scam you. I hope it is a glitch in the system as they still owe you an explanation.

I will try to send the rep a pm regarding this dispute using this thread as a reference, if he won't reply within the next few days. I do really hope everything goes well for both parts.

Lately I saw many accusation threads against Winna with various stories. Many of them are active as they are pending unresolved cases. It is like Winna is the new bc.game scam casino.
It's a bit of a strech to call them that, there's only been 3 threads on scam accusation board made about them.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5554571.0 - This one, Winna's official rep already made a response.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5580783.0 - This is still an ongoing investigation
And then there's this thread.

I’ll be happy to hear that explanation, as well as to understand why I’ve been treated in such an unprofessional way.

And I’ll be even happier to receive my money and never use their website again, if that’s what they want.

I appreciate your effort.

1. Told me about it.
2. Restricted only my sports betting, or limited my stakes to pennies like other operators do.
3. If they wanted to close my account, let me withdraw first and then close it afterwards.
I have no problem with a casino not wanting me as a customer. But my money is my money.
Winna has made the decision to confiscate the funds here based on the flag raised by their odds provider Betby. Most of the sportsbook with Betby odds provider does the same thing. Have you ever been limited on any other platform with Betby provider? You didn't have any deposited funds in your account. You made that profit from the bonuses. So, Winna won't consider any part of it as your own money. However, you deserve to get a detailed response about the whole issue here.

1. What’s right is right even if no one does it; what’s wrong is wrong even if everyone does it. What you’re describing as confiscation is called stealing.

2. Monthly and weekly bonuses are rakeback. They are a portion of the amounts previously wagered. There are no specific rules regarding those bonuses that require them to be wagered or prevent them from being withdrawn immediately after receiving them. Even so, the bonus amount was played through several times before being withdrawn and, therefore, it is my money. It already was when I received it, and it remains so after placing the bets.

Your message is curious. First you downplay the confiscation by saying they are not the only one doing it, then you downplay it by saying that, well, the winnings come from bonus money, so it is not that big a deal. That level of tolerance is curious.

Since 72h have passed from my first email to complaints@winna.com without any response, we will continue tomorrow with the next phases of our roadmap.

Remember if you've experienced a similar situation with Winna I'm looking for other people affected. I will keep updating this thread with all the updates.

Thank you all in advance.

Well, technically speaking that his money or at least a part of what he lost came back through bonuses, so even if I am not taking any sides here it wouldn’t be fair to say that he has no right to complain about what happened.
Winna should consider it as his money and have no right to close his account if there are no valid reasons behind, we should at least see their representative replies and try to clarify things.

I am sure there is a reason behind the closure of the account, considering that a casino this size won’t hurt their reputation because of a small amount compared to what just they spend here on marketing.

What does this mean? Did they give you back the access to your account? Or they sent you the email because you were subscribed in their promotion notifier when you had your account live?

I still see their rep active till yesterday and that he used to contribute in discussions about Winna in the Scam Accusation board. Even stranger that he chose not to reply here. I think not only op desrves an explanation about what happened to his account and funds being confiscated, but also the community reading this dispute here, especially active players in Winna.

No, they've sent me that email but the account remains locked. Yes, it's so curious. No explanations, just dissapeared. Today another guy opened a thread with a similar amount and issue.

Looks like Winna is in "stealing mode" for all the people betting in their platform.
