There is going to be a BIG push by the 'fed' to get that last 3% of cash out of the market and move completely digital by 2017.. What are all the implications of that? no clue...

If you're not excited by the idea of being an early adopter 'now', then you should come back in three or four years and either tell us "Told you it'd never work!" or join what should, by then, be a much more stable and easier-to-use system.

here in good old Germoney cash is still people's most preferred way to pay for groceries and other goods < €100.

credit cards are not very common here. much more is the EC/maestro debit card, and people still give you a strange look when you use it for smaller purchases.

The irony of this being reported by Russia's state propaganda agency is pretty rich. Like they just can't believe a government could be so authoritarian in this day and age  Roll Eyes

Well I fit 7 of 9 bullets wonder what they think of folks without cell phones?
I throw everyone for a loop when I tell them I don't own one.

Is "Having strange odors" one of those 7? Grin

Seriously, though, could this open a door to a Bitcoin debit card that doesn't look suspicious, but still gives you cash-like anonymity?

I'll be standing in line with my lawn chair and cooler when this is announced.

See above, extreme religious views contrary to most those living in a southern baptist state, I always know what I'm doing when I'm drunk  Tongue

national ID cards coming soon.
soon thereafter expect all your banking, credit history and personal info attached to them as well.
