It's high time we understand that politics is just a game of interest and these people vying for political positions are doing so for their personal interest and not for the interest of the masses that's why you see them not performing any of their civic responsibilities and duties as servants once they get into power, they are there to embezzle public funds and build their future and business and those are the setbacks we keep having as a nation.

Davido has already made name for himself and very popular so if he wants to venture into politics I think he's not doing that to get popular it will be for making more money because in Nigeria politics has been turned into a ground for making money

A good leader is the only thing that can change everything to good, police are only this way because the federal government gave them power and doesn't care if they're abusing it but with the right leader, you will see how this police will become good and start adhering to the law because the new president would want to emulate some of the Western ways of keeping the country filtered from the people who thinks they are supreme against others, so actually is hard to see the police turn a good live when our government is still ruled by this kind of people. Before I liked musicians into politics because I thought they would have the mind of the masses but actually they're not different from this people who has kept Nigeria this bad way.

Nowadays, public office (elective and otherwise) now goes with the drive for popularity! The case of politicians are so painful that this popularity gives them more joy than the accomplishment of their duty as public servants.
They even drag the media with celebrities.
Politicians have forgotten there place as public servants. Politicians are not celebrities.
The reason why you see all these happening is because the politicians has misplaced priority, political office holders no want to be relevant through social media space because there's no work for them to show, have you been following up the madness that has been playing out in APC primaries recently? If you've been observing you would've learnt that the country isn't ready to grow, there's nothing like free fair election in Nigeria, infact we shouldn't be expecting any change soon until there is a power shift to some people that have conscience.
Politicians in this country can pay any amount to the media houses to allow them to peddle their lies, they don't care, that's whom that have chosen to be and there's nothing we can do about it.

Politicians have forgotten there place as public servants. Politicians are not celebrities.

We are the only once thinking our political representatives have forgotten there place as public servants in Nigeria because I am sure they do remember there place but because  everything in the country have been politicised is the only reason they believe nothing can ever go wrong with them even if they exceed there constitutional rights.
Assuming we they are representing have not sold our constitutional rights because of peanuts, do you think this politicians would have operated the way they are doing.
You have gotten it right because that is exactly what is happening and let's be honest we deserve all what we are facing because ever from the beginning we have make an exchange, which shows that the deal is done immediately we sell our vote. Nobody will want to invest for a loss that is why our politicians do fight hard to get to that position not because of Us but what they have spent, and if this disease is not taken away from us I can't predict anytime soon that will be enjoying, because if you continue selling our vote then our problem will continue to increase without any favours from our leaders.
This same selling of votes we are talking about have started in the current primary election that have started some days ago. I see know reasons why we are not ready to learn, the same politicians that have not been listening to our cries are now coming down with a bag of promises on what they will do for us and a are even serving us just to buy us the same way they did years back and all we do is welcome them wholeheartedly because of just 5000 naira they promises to give at the end of the election. When are Nigerians going to be free from this useless mentality.

This is exactly why the cycle never ends. We complain about bad leadership for four years, then suddenly forget everything because of small cash and empty promises during elections. ₦5,000 can finish in a day, but the consequences of electing the wrong people can affect millions for years. Politicians keep repeating the same strategy because many people keep falling for it. Real change will only come when Nigerians stop trading their future for temporary benefits and start voting with sense, not stomach.
