Is FreiExchange abandoned by owner?

FreiExchange is old school, but trust worthy CEX for years.

I just deposited some KMD on May 1, still not showing up on my balance after 3 days while there are thousands of confirmation on explorer on my deposit.  Opened tickets twice, no response from support.  Actually now I recall that I opened many tickets at FreiExchange in the past, never got response, but they usually acted quickly to resolve my ticket within 1 day before.

KMD trading over past several days has been almost none. It appears that KMD wallet at this exchange is offline and the exchange looks like ghost on market activities recently. Is this exchange abandoned by its owner?

Their ticket system is also terrible, limit to 4 only, and kept my two old ticket open forever, not closed.  I can not create new ticket, just append new reply to old ticket.

I just modified one of my old ticket with proper KMD deposit missing title, and re-replied and opened 3rd time for help.   This does not feel good on this CEX. I hope this CEX does not go down like others in the past.

That does not mean at all because the exchange is not recommendable for now and maybe it will not be recommendable at all again. I just check the exchange 24 hours trading volume and I saw $23516 which is very small. The exchange will be very frustrating with a very little to no liquidity.

Zero customer service. My ticket is open over a month with zero response.

Zero disclosure of ALL fees. There is a page that has the 0.50% fee for a lot of tokens/coins - but don't disclose the processing fees for those coins.

Then there's the high minimum amount.

This is a scam exchange.

Yes, I generated deposit from my account on web.  I just checked, yes, I saw that coin status "security paused" too now.  but the deposit button on my account still works.  Not sure when did they add that "security disabled deposit",  before, or after I deposited my coin on May 1?  that was 4 day ago.

That sucks.  Just checked on my accout, no credit, no support reply.

Not sure what happened, but I feel like this is shady way of handling KMD deposit disabling.  They disabled my KMD deposit credit, but many unaware folks like me days ago will likely continue to deposit KMD. The deposit button on my account still works, showing up my account KMD address to deposit.

I am glad to report here that my KMD deposit missing was resolved by FreiExchange, got credited early this morning, traded through and withdraw another coin.  Still,  the withdraw was on hold for several hours in that their email confirmation/ 2 factor is not enough. I had to resort to ticket asking for withdraw approval to get the coins out.  Not sure why freiExchange is so cautious on withdraw, it has always been that in the past.

FreiExchange still earns my trust here for niche coins (KMD), but the tech is out dated, and support is sub par. My guess, it may just be a one person operation and May 1 holiday weekend tech glitch caused all the past delay. Do not expect too much from this CEX, the trust is still there for this old school CEX.

What does 2 factor is not enough means? Are they asking you to enable something else when they reply to your ticket? I've never heard exchange pausing withdrawal after users verify their activity with 2FA + email confirmation before. Maybe if their IP suddenly changed from previous activities, but even then, they usually send notification beforehand instead of waiting for any withdrawal. Sounds like it's time to find alternative if their service continues to be poor.

On May 2, they made some changes to the DNS. We can only guess what it is about, but it could certainly mean that this change had an impact on the functionality of the system. Maybe the server was just updated, so some functionalities are not transferred in the best way, and it could also be that the owner has changed the course of business.

Your trust might still be there, but that was more like a warning shot to you. If I were you, from now going forward, I would be trying to look at alternatives with much better support because one day things may go from bad to worse.

Like I said, that kind of behaviour reminds me of old-school services like Yobit or Freebitco.in that decided to go rogue.

I don't think submitting multiple tickets will speed up support handling; most support staff operate on a first-come, first-served basis. Furthermore, the question you're asking is, do they credit your balance after submitting tickets to n-th, or after their system reopens KMD deposits? If their back-end is still experiencing issues, your balance won't be credited even if you submit 100 tickets.

KMD support issue was exception, my multiple tickets did not help until days late. Yes, they did respond to my previous many many ticket tricks.  They only allow 4 maximum tickets per person, re-using old ticket (open), changing title seemed to work.  I had case, withdraw on hold for hours, then reply ticket, my ticket trick, they immediately solved my problem shortly.  I could have felt that they did check my ticket trick reply, even though was silent.

It's great if it works on this service, but it won't work universally or if handled by different support personnel. This behavior is, after all, very annoying spam. Furthermore, reduce your trust in services that start requiring you to do this too often.
