How did you get introduced to Bitcoin?

I first got introduced to the world of cryptocurrency through airdrops, and after a while I got a token and exchanged it. And I received USDT in exchange for my airdrop coins, and there I got a payment again. And when that payment came, I went to the exchange and there were more options in the USDT space and there I saw the BTC symbol.
And then I didn't know what Bitcoin was, and gradually I started doing more airdrops and I also developed an interest in learning about Bitcoin. So that's how I learned about Bitcoin and through this community I clearly gained knowledge about Bitcoin.

I first heard about Bitcoin a few years back, while I did not have a computer or other source to check this and learn about this, but my passion increased because a few fellows had done well with this and had profit; even though this was not easy to check and engage with, after some time I entered, and this works for me now. I am feeling great.

Good thing I am using just Bitcoin and never have any other token or coin, but sometimes I use USDT for exchange. Now I am expecting to have this Bitcoin for the long term while also giving enough knowledge to kids because they need to understand early about this.

Ponzi scheme called MMM was the first time I heard about Bitcoin, then the internet thought me the rest, I started testing bitcoin myself, sending from one wallet to another just to confirm that it's working, I also start farming faucets and Airdrops too, 2016 was a eye opener year for me.

I lost some bitcoin and I sold some, what I couldn't figure out very quickly was the potential of bitcoin for the future, I had good opportunities at the time, but I don't have enough capacity to do as I really wanted, but still I have a good life today because Bitcoin was created by Satoshi, it's a big win for me.

I started looking into bitcoin far back in 2019, I saw someone already driving a corrolla and leaving a lifestyle. I was very interested and I don’t know how to start. I gave money to someone a called a friend and he scammed me, ever since then my bitcoin journey has been easy at all.

I have been hearing about bitcoin from different sources that I barely remember where I first heard about it but then I had friends who were more knowledgeable about bitcoin than myself and they usually mention bitcoin and not until I was referred to this forum before I understood what bitcoin really was with an in depth knowledge. I came to know about Bitcoin through my office colleague who used to buy and hold Bitcoins. He is the who also told me what Bitcoin is and how can we buy and sell it. Al tough he gave me necessary info about Bitcoin but it was my own decision to invest in Bitcoin and I will remain thankful to that guy for rest of my life for introducing me to Bitcoin because that changed the world for me. So I always thought it was only the wealthy people can be able to afford bitcoin. My first introduction to Bitcoin:

Before Bitcoin, I was introduced to a coin called Stellar.
(I got a marketing project from a freelancer market in 2014 that was for a website called Stellar) and in 2014, if you opened a Stellar account and verified it on Facebook, you would get around 7000 to 10000 Stellar coins for free.

At that time, I knew about an exchange site called ‘JustCoin’, where Bitcoin could be obtained/converted in exchange for Stellar coins, and that is where I first heard the name Bitcoin.
As far as I remember, when I first started selling Bitcoin as a seller, the price of Bitcoin was around $300 to $400 and my first buyer was an Australian citizen (LocalBitcoin user), who made a transaction of just $10!

I came to know about Bitcoin when I started my career. My friend introduced me to Bitcoin when he was buying Bitcoin regularly. At that time I was very interested in Bitcoin but I could not start because I did not have any discretionary income.

With my personal skills and hard work I tried to find alternative sources of income and improve my skills. Within a few years I started Bitcoin through my discretionary income. If I could have started accumulation Bitcoin from that time I learned about Bitcoin, I would have a huge holding today. That friend currently owns several Bitcoin and he still continues to accumulate Bitcoin.

I don't think anyone really introduced me to Bitcoin because it was basically the internet that made me stumble on it and I didn't even take it seriously until I saw how beneficial it was becoming to a lot of people that's when I started and it wasn't too long before I discovered the forum which made me get more ideas about it and this became my objective. Bitcoin can actually be used as a retirement plan in the future, looking at how much it has grown over the years so far it means that Bitcoin has a lot of potentials and height it can actually reach in the future.

I formally got introduced to Bitcoin in this forum, it wasn't like I hadn't heard about Bitcoin before but I never took it seriously because people that knew it didn't encourage me to know it better. If I had people that encouraged me to buy Bitcoin then and I used a lot of my money to invest in it them by now I should be a millionaire if I didn't waste all of it but better late than never I'm here now and I'm doing DCA so that I wouldn't miss out on being rich from it in the future.

This forum opened my eyes to the potentials of Bitcoin as a hedge against inflation and a store of value so I'm thankful to this forum's experienced members that helped me in tremendous ways to shape my knowledge about Bitcoin, it's network and as an asset to invest in in. So I got to know about Bitcoin from the wrong people in the past then I got to gain correct knowledge about it from this forum.

You have a cool introduction to Bitcoin. But my story is way different. I got to know about this currency from my university friends.
Although I shared this story a long time ago already, I don't remember the thread where I shared this story. Anyways, with the ongoing discussion, I want to share it again to revive those days' memories. In those days, my university friends used to talk about bitcoin, where I did not have any single interest in knowing about it, because in those days I was more interested in digital marketing.

But with the passage of time, I also started to take an interest in their discussion.
And that time I was first introduced to Bitcoin and in those days I invested in Bitcoin and today i literally have learned a lot about the Bitcoin market, and this forum played a big role in learning more about the Bitcoin market. As there are many users here who are pro-bitcoiners. So spending time here is really worth it during all that time.

Before joining this forum, I was a first year college student who wanted to earn some money for my personal expenses. After discussing some watches with my friend, he mentioned about "bitcoin" and showed me his wallet which contained ~$600 worth of BTCs at that time (year 2017). At first, I didn't believe him because the idea of earning some money online on our country was a vague and impossible idea.

After discussing his work on this forum, he told us to register and do our respective research so that we would be able to understand what 'cryptocurrencies' are. At first, I was very confused about all the technical terms employed (e.g. blockchain, ledger, mining, etc.). But like what they say, experience is the best teacher.

I read books and watched videos on how to understand this complex topic. Fortunately, I somehow understood it the more I participated in discussions in this forum. As my forum ranking increased, my knowledge and understanding also widen.

Now, it's been ~9 years since I joined this forum and I have yet to learn and understand about everything. One thing is for sure- I would always HODL and invest my savings into cryptocurrencies!

When I was rounding up my final year exam in higher institution, one of my causemate was telling me about BTC but I ignored her, because then BTC was not too popular like the way it is now. After graduated from school I heard about BTC from someone I trusted and I believe whatever he as me to do, and he began to introduce me to a  BTC and how I can involve myself into BTC investment.

From year 2020 I began to study some of the cryptocurrencies books my brother gave to me to study and I discovered that BTC is the king among other cryptocurrencies, because whenever it start pumping in the bull market it will create opportunity for other cryptocurrencies price to start pumping to change investors mind to start selling their coins.
