How did you get introduced to Bitcoin?

I heard about Bitcoin when Ponzi scheme was the order of the day. I had already fallen victim to their scheme when Bitcoin was introduced to me so I felt it was one of those schemes. It was after I recovered from my loss I had to dive into a quick research by then many around me were testifying to their ROI and how much profit they had made from Bitcoin. It was then I had to try online investment again and this time it happened the investment was worth the time and effort. I think most people share almost similar story because digital assets generally came in  when online investment scams were all over the internet and for most people it was difficult to tell which was legit and which was scam.

I think it was introduced to me by a friend when i was on my senior high school year, yes I known Bitcoin when I was just a student, and we already invest on Bitcoin that they I think prices was lower then 200$ and just looking at the market price at that year we probably do earn a lot of money even though we are just a student by just holding because Bitcoin price could easily make you x2 or more at that time. My friend was just a hustler and he did find Bitcoin online, tell me about it and I end up knowing about it, it was just a story at first but as he told us how he was earning on it, that is where it all begin since we know that he is earning a huge amount even on some project we also get interested and started on crypto as well.

It was surely a core memory since a high schooler who have a huge money in his pocket was really great even though I dont really think a lot of saving or investing it long term, I did buy a lot of things that in my opinion atleast worth it and until now I still used, maybe I could say that it was a great investment or buy, even though there are also some that is just a headache to me.

Mine was through a friend of mine. How it all started is when I observe he was always on his laptop, at first I thought he was into fraud so I became curious to know why his aways online pressing always. So I approached him demanding what he was into and he told me everything i pretty need to know and that brought my knowledge about the forum and today am in.  However, knowing the forum was the best decision I made so far and I'm pretty happy being here today.

I got seriously interested in it around 2018, I was in my 3rd year then in the University. I tried so hard to know more and understand it, but people are calling an absurd amount of money just to give tutorials. The ease in which information is gotten now isn't how it was back then, so I got discouraged and abandoned the idea. So around 2021 a friend of mine was telling me about web3 investment, mining, staking, etc. He was making it real big, around 2022, I started investing in alts. Not long after, the bear market came and I lost a lot of money. I stayed away for sometime until I joined this forum and started investing in just Bitcoin.

I remember seeing Bitcoin ads years ago
when the price was very low. I had money
to buy at that time. But I also saw ads
for binary options and read a blog post
calling them a scam. Unfortunately I mixed
up Bitcoin with binary options in my mind
and missed the opportunity completely.
That was one of my biggest financial
mistakes and a lesson I will never forget.

My friend told me to invest in bitcoin maybe like 2014, but I'm already seeing bitcoin before that year its just that I'm too busy working, and i have no time, because I'm busy playing videogames, and working, my friend told me lets invest in bitcoin, but i said its a scam, fast forward 2015-2016 i started mining, then switch to Ethereum, until i do small trading, investing, fast forward today I'm still in crypto but not that much time, but i always keep some bitcoin and still have some coins, that still holding.
