I do not mean to digress but I think that celebrity boxing matches are making the sport not to be as interesting as it used to be.

The only celebrity fights I can remember are the ones they used to show on MTV on the show "Celebrity Death Match", I don’t know if you remember it. Joking aside, I think celebrity fights like jake Paul vs Mike Tyson and joshua ruin the spirit of boxing and turn it into pure entertainment, just like wrestling. Jake paul isn’t a boxer, and his totally basic technique proves it; if the matches with Tyson had been real, he would have gotten beaten up badly. Boxing is serious business, just look at the matches from the ’40s and ’50s and ’80s and ’90s and compared with today match.

If we should ask kids these days about boxing matches that they know, I would not be surprised if they mention jake Paul vs Mike Tyson and then the recent one that happened in my country which the OP has already highlighted between a streamer and a musical artist. And it generated more discussion than even real boxing matches. They are making the sports to not be interesting anymore.

If it is not a professional fighter, I wont bet on them. Celebrity ring fighting is for entertainment purposes. 
I have never bet on a celebrity's boxing match, and I will never do so. A good reason for not betting on a celebrity's match is that the organizers are more concerned with profit-making than the competition itself. I feel it is overhyped and lacks regulation. 

The reason why I don't bet on most of these celebrities boxing match is because they are mostly exhibition matches and they are also unprofessional that's why it's not really interesting for me to bet on. These matches are fixed and a lot of times they are opportunities that the organizers use to make profit. Perhaps it's not every country that this happens but in my country celebrity matches are always fixed.

Portable came out to say the bet on him to win had a huge payout. If he had won, they wouldn't have been able to pay all who bet on him to win, which is why they made Carteefe win the match.

I believe I am not over thinking but it is obvious that sport game such as the boxing and wrestling is not strict as it used to be before like then when the fightings becomes very brutal and bloody to the extent competitors even dies or gets condemned over strict rules that does not consider humanity.
These days rules had been made friendly with some of the matches even becoming scripted and more of entertainment than a real combat like those days.

I did not bet on that match and would only bet for the cruise of it if I wanted and not because it would most likely be fixed, personally I would prefer to go watch that kind of match than bet on it. More of the thrill would be achieved if you're there live to watch two armature boxers of their level try to settle their longtime beef inside the ring. That kind of match is difficult to predict since neither of them has a history of fitness potentials, so its all a cruise match.

Because I once saw a celebrity in my country defeat a professional martial artist, it just doesn't make sense to me. How could a pro fighter lose to a celebrity who only competes in lower-level competitions, and beat a fighter who has competed at a higher level? There's only one answer to that, it's staged. Therefore, I prefer to avoid betting on celebrity fights like this because they serve no purpose other than entertainment.

It has been a different dimension for celebrities who had been bold enough to openly challenge their fellow celebrities on physical fights just to prove their muscles of who is stronger.
We have also seen in the media and even read in the news about how most of those kind of celebrities confronts themselves in outdoor events while security agencies don't let them have such disgraceful acts of fighting themselves in the public for no just cause.

The boxing fight between Carter-efe vs Portable was actually one of the most talked about fight to ever go viral since this celebrity boxing fight started here in Nigeria, and to be frankly speaking, I did watched it, and it was very entertaining seeing Carter-efe give Portable the beating of his life. And honestly speaking, if the casino gambling companies here had enabled the betting of those boxing fight, I'm 100% sure many Nigerian gamblers would have placed a bet on those games, most especially myself, as I would have placed a bet for Carter-efe to win against Portable. I can’t bet in such exhibition matches, they don’t even entice me to watch, talk more of betting on them. It is their own way of showing their strength to each other to see who is stronger, I don’t really fancy it and fighting is not the best way to solve your dispute amongst each others as celebrities. Most of the celebrity matches are fixed and if you don't use your head, you will end up losing money to the bet because they are mostly fixed. There are so many rigged bets online which we do not know about and this could also include big matches that may look like they are a coincidence but they are actually rigged to make money for themselves.

It is quite ironic we don't throw money to what it seems to be staged fights because they are only entertainment, considering so many people here constantly say gambling is supposed to be only a way to get entertainment and not money.
Anyways, bet could be an exception to that rule though.

What you witnessed on that occasion was pretty much an example of why one is supposed to avoid those fights, unless one has the chance to actually predict how it was staged... Otherwise is a loss of money and time.

If I wanted to be entertained with violence, I would prefer to watch some actual professional fight instead.

Well, these kinds of events involving celebrities have been around for quite some time. In fact, several are held in our region, but perhaps the most famous is La Velada, which takes place in Spain. One edition was even held at Real Madrid’s stadium, so these are major events, and obviously betting markets exist for them. It’s more common than you might imagine.

Celebrity boxing is technically meant for entertainment, so we can't actually predict they fight and organiser can manipulate the outcome.

The last celebrity boxing match they took place here in my country, was ended interruptly because one of the fighters was breathing heavily and to prevent endangering the life of a none professional person like the celebrity they have to end the fight and announce his opponent the winner of thay fight.

Thay points to entertainment part of their boxing and not for the technicality of the fight and their accuracy of punches.

Its a scripted fights as you said, that is why one has to make the game fun and not to take it more personal because its still part of gambling and you can injure yourself with the hope that its real when its not and making such mistakes can likely to injure your life and emotions which it will even extend to their family member.

The answers most of the times are already there, it's all part of the plan on who will, if you can decode how they influenced and ways they will bring traffic to the organized boxing match, you can actually make profits. Although i don't it is my kind of betting events, obvious that most of them are scripted to create revenue for them, especially when it involves youtubers or streamers.

I've never felt comfortable betting on celebrity matches. If I ever do it, it would be totally for fun because these guys have no professional experience and there's really no say who would win. So whoever wins, you've to take it with good faith. I feel much better gambling on professional teams even if they end up losing more often than not

Yes i said it's an organized fighting event because the both fighters are celebrities who naturally dislikes one another and in so many scenes they've both had clashes that almost leads to them confronting each other in outdoor events.
They've also been throwing shades to each other online.
So some rich famous celebrities and business people had to organize an arena like a ring with prize set upon for the emerging winner who proves that's stronger can walk away with.
This is just what I mean by the term organised fighting competition.

For your information, this is not the first match of this scenario. Perhaps the looser at Portable was also an indisputable champion in the celebrities boxing match but lost it this time.

Most of the people who I know placed their bet on that match did it not because of anything much, but they did it as a result of supporting their own favourite celebrity, and it was a side bet, which is exactly what that type of fight deserved. I can't risk more than that; most of those streamers and influencers are really not professional boxers, so there is not much to enjoy from the game.

You should just watch this kind of match as more than likely the organizers already knew who will win on this match. You are likely wasting your funds here. They are just collecting money from those gullible bettors. Much better to bet in a real professional fight rather than organized or exhibition fights.

Of course, I will gladly place a bet on a celebrity that has the potential of winning, if this celebrity boxing fight is been displayed on Sport betting platforms where we can conveniently predict who to win. But however, it will literally not be an easy process before this can be achieved,  since we all know how the rate of its outcome can be easily influenced, and Sport betting platforms won't want a situation like that where they can't make good profits from it's games. So eventually, if it's been made a success, I will gladly place a bet on the celebrity I think has the most power to win, because this is a game of physical strength.
