It can't be the device model. If one device is on iOS and the other is on Android, they can't be the same model.
I'm still leaning towards it being just a coincidence.
An unexpected wallet reset is extremely rare in itself (I've never seen it happen before). And two resets on the same day - that's an incredibly rare combo. So I decided to mention my case here, too

Well, for iOS that's not rare since the iCloud keeps data and it always keeps the apps and data up-to-date. If the iCloud is also connected to another iOS device and got the latest data from that app, then it will sync to another iOS device to get the most up-to-date data from iCloud.
It also happens to other apps, not only with crypto wallets. For example, my son uses an iPhone and borrows my Apple ID to download apps like Facebook. He logs in, but after a day, my Facebook account is also logged in, even though I did not log in on his phone. That is why I do recommend disabling iCloud syncing.
Another example: This is a fun fact about my boyish or tomboy friend. S/he had no idea all of his photos were syncing to iCloud and then to her girlfriend's. This friend of mine is a womanizer; he or she takes pictures of himself or herself kissing other girls to demonstrate that he or she is better with the ladies than we are. However, after a while, her girlfriend appears and slaps her.
If you have an Android and this happens in the same app, it could be a bug or a server-side issue. We don't know, but in my experience, I use an automated cleaner that clears app data, which is why any of my wallets have suddenly disappeared and a new one has been created.
Why not try tracing them or logging everything in your Android device? I believe the bug report in developers mode will tell you what happened to your wallet apps.
