Xenophobic attacks on foreigners. South Africa a nation that is not grateful.

Similar things like this happen all over the continent yet people still believe in the Gaddafi's "One African country dream".

And yet Lybia is the singular African country that produced the most academic talent to represent the whole continent. It developed its own industry to sustain itself, with very little external assistance. Housing, education healthcare and food were guaranteed for all people. Libya was for a long time one of the best places to live on the whole continent all until NATO lead to its destruction.

If only more African countries were following the Lybian model, Africa would be the world's number one super power. And that's precisely why they wanted Lybia back to dust. It was a dangerous example. Unity in Africa is a threat to the west's capital. Can you imagine if Africans were benefiting from the extraction of their own resources instead of letting western companies ship it directly abroad? It would take a revolution, but it would shake up the status quo to its core. Entire global industries depends on exploitation of resources from Africa.

The seed of racism and division is a destructive one, but it benefits only the outsiders. African people need realise that first.

The funny thing about South Africa people is that some of them are filled with hate on other country people living in their country, because I don't understand why they can't get that same opportunity or should I say I don't understand why they can't create that same opportunities other country people are creating to get things working for them instead they occupy their heart with hatred and they forget that other African people living in that country of theirs are developing their country for them (South Africans) since they are lazy to engage their minds with better things.
This movement was started by just 1 person and the idea started spreading and it have poisoned so many jobless South Africans to start chasing foreigners away from their country, the painful part is that I hardly see the president or some government officials protecting the foreigners when the chaos begins, is bad and it looks like they too support what some of the citizens are doing, South Africans shouldn't forget that they have some of their brothers in other African countries too, very soon it will become pay back.

With the recent outbreak of yet another xenophobic attacks targeting foreigners most especially Nigerian, Zimbabwe, Botswana etc. It very sad to once again see Africans fighting themselves killing themselves burning properties worth millions of dollars, I just watched a clip of foreigners been treated as criminal in South Africa. It appears to me that the south African population seems bitter towards foreigners.


After looking critically at this whole issue, it seems to me that even the government of South Africa is in support of it because times with out numbers the government has watched their citizens do all these nonsense with their security personnel watching from a distance. They are saying that these foreigner are taking jobs from them that they should leave their land especially Nigerians which is at the center of the attacks. Already alot of countries have started to evacuate their citizens from South Africa. Country like Zimbabwe, Botswana has closed their borders with South Africa and has even cut off electric supply to parts of south Africa were they supply electricity.

After looking at this whole situation play out and seeing the government of South Africa not taking a strong measure to end this killing committed by their citizens and only giving frenzy excuses. It seems to me that South Africans don't know were they are coming from, they have forgotten how the rest of Africa stood by them and helped forced the apataied system in south Africa to a stop. Nigerians they are killing and calling criminals were at the forefront infact Nigeria was the one funding the ANC by deducting monies from salaries of their civil servants and sending it to fund the activities of the ANC and standing against the white rule in South Africa.

South Africa is going on a very wrong part because till today the economy of South Africa is been fueled by different African countries. Already many African countries has started the process of cutting of deplomatic ties with South Africa. In fact a Nigerian senator has called for the band and boycotting of MTN, DSTV and other South African companies operating in Nigeria in response to the attack on Nigerians.

It seems to me that South African has not leant history very well and do they don't know the role that was played by these foreigners that they are trying to throw out of the country, it seems to me that South Africans are not greatfull and the popular saying that they are lazy is true, why these foreigners are doing legitimate business, paying tax and so is even contributing to the economic development of the country. This is not a welcoming development because this types of moves will lead to
Weakening Africa United, Cause Deplomatic tension, Economic damage , Cause a regional and Humanitarian crisis. It seems to me that South Africa is calling the rest of Africa fools for helping liberate them from bondages.

Xenophobia doesn’t happen without a reason or without deliberate manipulation. As a rule, such “tactics” are used to achieve political goals-that is, to gain the support of a group of people who can be manipulated in this way.
But remember-if you support this today, don’t think it won’t affect you; there will always be a group with the opposite view, and you yourself will become a victim of xenophobia, but you will no longer have the right to speak out and say “this is not legal.” Bottom line: to understand the roots of this, you need to carefully analyze “where the voices are coming from” and who stands to gain from it, and believe me, you’ll quickly find out who initiated it...

Ungratefulness is the best word to quantify the Xenophobia happening in South Africa. This is ill and disappointing; a coordinated plan/attack orchestrated by some vested interests beyond what we see from the surface.

South African was fought for and invested in by the same Africans they are asked to leave their country. And if the reports are correct, the foreigners are the ones who are doing the major jobs to move the country forward, while SA people are being said to be lazy. Well, if they continue like this, perhaps other countries should tell them that they are not an "Island" in this, and teach them a lesson my sending South Africans from their countries home and close their companies too.

An African with that mentality is worrying. I don't know where he stands. Taking a side sitting on the fence but that is none of my shit. He talks about how the the Gaddafi One Africa Dream is shit but he doesn't call out the west for killing African leaders who stand up against imperialism and domination from the west. North Korea has free education, free health care, and jobs for everyone, good scientist that provide military equipment for them. They also have nuclear weapons, which means they have people smart enough to make nuclear weapons even though they had help. They are also rumoured to have very good hackers who hack a lot of big companies. This means they have people who are intelligent and skilled enough to carry out these operations. If the US or NATO had an issue with N. Korea and killed their president, 20 years from now, you people would start talking about how NATO ruined North Korea.
I see people support people like Abacha, Mugabe, Maduro, and Khomeini simply because they are against the US. You have to know that,, as much as the US is "devils", being against them does not make you a saint.

You cannot have such greedy leaders and still go ahead to blame the West. If every African country actually wants to develop, it will do so only when the people and their leaders make a decision to. Outsiders won't come into your country to take out your resources if you don't let them. The way of the world is that the strong take from the weak. It has always been like this from the beginning of time, and it will remain like this. So if you want people to stop taking from you, you have to get up and put in the work to have a better country.

But... this “free” system was more than “offset” by the extremely low quality of healthcare and education, the low standard of living, the meager wages, the lack of rights and freedoms, and many other factors. Yes, at the propaganda level, it looked good, but for the country’s residents, reality was not as rosy as the propaganda portrayed.
Many will say, “But what about Soviet scientists? The USSR was the first country to send a man into space, etc.?” On the one hand, that is also a fact, but... For example, industrialization was built... with the hands and technologies of the Western world (the U.S., Great Britain, Germany, France-easy to verify), and then the USSR simply maintained it. Rocket technology wasn’t developed from scratch, but rather based on technologies obtained after the capture of Germany; incidentally, the U.S. rocket/space program also has its roots in the work of Third Reich German scientists. And so it is with everything... In the end, this country collapsed on its own, due to a low standard of living, a stagnant economy, and the degradation of its scientific and technical base.
North Korea also received and continues to receive technology from the USSR, China, and today’s Russian Federation, and likely from some other countries, but not “its own developments.” Name for me any North Korean institutes or scientists and their discoveries and developments? There aren’t any....

This action is not called for from my own view because it's a collective of individual bodies that build up the development of every nation provided they have a good governance, because most of the problems and hardship, lack of employment opportunities many people are facing today at their country is the cause of their government because they are not doing things the way they should be done.
Any economy that is failed today, watch very there is a higher corruption in that particular country which they should be that holding their leaders to make things right and not by killing innocent people who has only come to contribute to the development of their country.

It is also not called for in my own point of view, I think South Africa has made serious mistake doing all that xenophobic activities and there could be an reaction from those countries that the have abused, some of those countries have started making plans to retaliate against South African companies.
It's sad that many South Africans claim that they don't support xenophobia but they don't seem to be doing anything about it even the south African governments hasn't made any reasonable approach in tackling it.

My problem with the South African style is the violence. Attacking immigrants violently and destroying their businesses is going too far. It was the government that failed to protect the borders from influx of illegal immigrant, so they should be held repsonsible. I saw a video of immigrants who have valid documents, yet they were under attack.

The attack is no more about illegal immigrants, it is about every black foreigners from the country to leave. They do not like how foreigners are prospering in their country and probably also marrying their women.

South Africans are just lazy and have turned to the easiest route out for their laziness and that's blaming the foreigners for everything they have come short of due to their laziness which is the jobs, ability to hustle, make a living for themselves and also their ignorance in the position of taking good care of their women, all the women in south Africa have seen the difference of staying with a South African and staying with the latter and they have come to pick the better option. Its just so annoying that they have fail to understand that even with the foreigners gone they will still not be able to make up for their lazy asses.

It's not all about laziness, there are deeper things involved in this whole situation that is going on in South Africa, I think there is a big political scandal also entwined in the whole situation because my biggest surprise in the situation has been the lack of response from the president. I don't follow up the media that much but from all the complaints that I have seen, I don't think I have seen anyone come out to address the issue even when the people that are claiming to curb the illegal immigration cases are all normal citizens that have no part whatsoever in the government.

When I see these xenophobic attacks from South Africans to other African  countries  it  hurts me  so bad. I don't understand how  why people who claimed that other Africans foreigners steals their job and go as far as destroying people's businesses and steals from them as if those are government given jobs. It is just unfortunate that south Africa are launching another xenophobic attack on African precisely Nigerians forgetting that those jobs they claim it's theirs, where created by those foreigners. Study shows that South Africans are very lazy and are unwilling to work hard not create employment opportunity. All they only know is enjoyment, drinking, smoking, womanizing and all that. As much as Africa is concern, no African is an immigrant in another African land. We all one and it is high time we start seeing it this way.

We had not border before the Whites came to colonize us, but after colonialism, everything changed as we are separated into different countries in the way they suited the Whites.

Colonialism is not bad, but what I do not like about it was how they separated the same tribes into different countries just like the Funani and Yoruba that are in different countries and not only in Nigeria. Also many other countries that are speaking Hausa but which are not the same tribe.

If South Africans believe there is a growing number of illegal immigrants in their country, then it should be the job of law enforcement to arrest as many of them as they can and put them on a plane back home. It is crazy for mobs to go fishing for immigrants, just to harass and kill them, there is no justification for that. You support mobs killing and beating people just because they are immigrants, is that what you support? Do you truly believe these mobs can tell the difference between one who is legal and illegal, and even illegal immigrants do not deserve be brutally attacked and killed. The correct thing to do is to arrest them and put them on a plane back home.

Suport what? You support the killing and destruction of the properties of undocumented immigrants. Operation Dudula and other groups don't have the right to attack immigrants. Have you tried to know why these people are undocumented? Some of them were caused by the failure of the South African immigration system. Many of these have applied for documents and there have been delays.

It is easy to say go back and fix your country. The last time we tried to do it in Nigeria, people were slaughtered like cows and there was no sanction from international organisations against the perpetrators of that crime.

Do you know how many undocumented immigrants are living and doing business in Nigeria? Some of them are fleeing from wars in their country.

Although the president Cyril Ramaphosa and Minister Ronald Lamola have come to condemn the ongoing violence, the government is still in support of constituting this violence since it proposed bans on foreigners who own and operate businesses in the country or even go as far as marriage to their women.

I have seen lots of videos circulating the Internet on this attack and the last I saw featured foreign African women stripped totally naked and paraded on the street without any police interference to stop such craziness.
It's very wild I must conclude and the consequences of such xenophobic attack would be retaliated in more of the countries where their own citizens are living and working in due time.

This is very sad and regrettable that the south Africans has chosen to follow such part of ungratefulness to their fellow Africans that shelter, finance and gave them all the support they need, when they needed it the most, forgetting that the freedom they are enjoying today was made possible by these same people they are now attacking, and are seeing like the enemy.

The president speach to condemned the xenophobic attack on their fellow Africans is just a camouflage because if he really meant it, the two women that were stripped naked would have been rescued by the police, but since the police aren't doing anything about it, it shows that the government are in support of this with full chest.

 These attacks have occured before and the first one was recorded in 11994, shortly after the apartheid movement and reoccurred in 1995, 98, and 2008. Bottom line is, whether the South Africans have a reason why they are doing it, it still doesn't make sense to fight your fellow African just because they're not from the same region as you. That's the highest level of insecurity I can think of. It's a barbaric act and it should be shunned. As it is a enemy doesn't need much to attack them because they're already divided over something that could be deliberated upon.
 This attacks started as a result of frustrating scenarios stemming from lack of employment, better living and the feeling that they were being deprived of opportunities that should have gone to them instead foreigners get it but the more these unrest keep happening, I doubt that what they are looking for will get to them. This is just causing economic strain.

While watching the last rally they did against other African nations I noticed the South Africans doing this are the black South Africans. I can count the number of white South Africans that were doing those protest. This is to show that the black South Africans are the illiterates, the ones with poor education who cant get a job and compete in the work force.
