This just looks like 3rd party trading in all but name. If a player secures a position does how high or how low the asset rises or fall affect their payout or it is a fixed amount? I see your term says that this is not a financial service but if users can stake on the movement of assets overtime and get profits on the incrementally if the asset moves in the predicted direction, it is operating like one.

Prediction markets could have questions like will Bitcoin hit $200,000 in 2027 with a fixed payout from the total pot when the position closes. You guys are doing it differently and staking on real time price movements

Well, I think the process is similar but the result is more like gambling because you can lose all your money if your prediction goes wrong. Since they provide 1minute to 6hour time frames, then TA should work here.

I’ve never used binary options with real money before, I only tried the demo once and it does look somewhat similar. But aside from that, I like the design, it looks simple and cool. After visiting their website they offer 75% return for crypto if the prediction is correct and 80% for Forex if the prediction is correct.

I agree with you, some people do like fast paced trading but through gambling form and I think binary trading is good for them. There is a point in my history that I actually prefer playing trading/binary options in gambling platform and actually I made decent amount of money there and the thing that hooks me here is I don't need to think I just look the graph and hope for the best, so I think this is an interesting one especially it offers a binary trading alone. Anyway, welcome to the forum Predium Finance, do you have any free coins (play tokens) to at least test out the platform before committing to deposit?

I am a little bit confused as well.
It would seem to be the markets being offered by this service are way too similar to what we would expect on a traditional cryptocurrecy exchange.
I don't like the idea of it having a multi-leveled referral option, but I like the idea of using mock balance in order to try the service before depositing and trying to make a quick buck.

Also, this is likely not as decentralized as they advertise it, even if they use oracles and smart-contracts to power the website, there will be always be some back door in order for the owners of the platform to take a stand on dispute resolution.

These prediction markets are centralized by definition.

I don't think I have ever seen a a service that supports connecting more than 600 software wallets to the platform. It's good that connecting a wallet is not the only way to use the site. If I was interested in trying it out, I would rather sign up over email. I noticed that you can even connect Trezor Suite and Ledger Wallet among others. I wonder how that works.

Hey Agbe, appreciate the welcome:)

Good question - prediction markets and trading do look similar from the outside, but the mechanics differ. In regular trading your P&L usually scales with how far the price moves in your direction, and you can get liquidated if it goes against you.

On Predium though - you just call direction up or down over a fixed window, with a fixed payout multiplier per pair. No leverage, no spreads, no liquidations - max loss is whatever you staked, nothing more. Settlement runs automatically off Pyth oracle data the moment the timer hits zero.

On the visuals - fair point, we'll be adding more screenshots/banners so people can actually see what the platform looks like before clicking through.

And we plan to stay active around the forum naturally, not in a spammy way.

Great question, and you're right that we operate differently.

Predium uses a fixed payout model. When you open a position, you stake an amount and predict direction: up or down. If the price moves in your predicted direction at expiration, you receive a fixed (for example) 75% return on your stake. The payout does not depend on how much the price moves, but only on whether your direction was correct.

Example: Stake $100 on BTC going up. If BTC is higher at expiration - you receive $175. If lower - you lose your $100 stake. That's it.

This is fundamentally different from trading where profit usually scales with price movement.

Yes, the comparison to binary options is fair and accurate. Predium is essentially a crypto-native take on the binary options model - but simplified, and built on well-known Tier-1 infrastructure.

On the [gambling] point: you're right that incorrect predictions result in losing your stake. However, unlike pure gambling, outcomes here are determined by real market price movements - not random number generators. Technical analysis absolutely applies, and ajy user can actively use TA to inform his predictions across 1min to 6hr timeframes.

Thank you for the feedback! Predium is simpler than trading, and more skill-based than pure gambling. Technical analysis genuinely applies here, especially on longer timeframes. But yes, for those who just want simplicity - it works perfectly on instincts too.

On similarity to traditional exchanges:
You're right that we trade on the same assets. The difference is the mechanic - no order books, no leverage and counterparty. Just a fixed-time directional prediction with defined risk. Simpler option.

On decentralization: we use blockchain infrastructure for deposits, withdrawals and price feeds via Pyth Network. But more importantly, our system is built so that we cannot influence trade outcomes in any way. Settlement is determined purely by independent oracle price data. We have zero control over market prices and zero ability to affect how your trade closes. The result is always what the market says it is.

Full on-chain settlement (smart wallet). is on our roadmap - where we have no interaction with users' funds whatsoever. Even if our website goes offline, you'll be able to interact with the contracts directly. We're building toward that transparently

The ANN impressed me thanks to the whole matrix like theme going for it just like the site design itself. It's not easy at all for decentralized gambling platforms to take off unless they go crazy viral for some or another reason(Polymarket for example).

Liquidity is your major concern obviously. I get the whole 1.75x odds if you win and 0 if you lose. Is the site commission 25% on winning or something since the odds should have been higher? Or is it something else?

This is an impressive strategy to start. From one side it can help new comers try the service as their first time experience before using it with real money, and from another side give the opportunity for reviewers to test the platform functionalities without losing money. If the code is open source, it can be reviewed and improved as well since it is a decentralized app.

I suggest you consider lunching promotional campaigns in bitcointalk community. The crypto based gambling industry is getting more competitive everyday. You won't get your share from the cake if big parts were taken only by big promoters. I invite you to take a look at different promotional campaigns here.
