Monero and Trezor

I have a question about using Monero with a Trezor hardware wallet.

I currently use a Trezor to store multiple coins, and I’m trying to understand whether it’s possible to safely store Monero (XMR) with it as well.

My main questions are:

Can Monero be stored using a Trezor hardware wallet?
If yes, is it supported directly inside Trezor Suite?

Does Monero still keep its normal privacy features when used with a hardware wallet?
For example, do stealth addresses, ring signatures, and confidential transactions still work the same way when signing transactions through Trezor?

What is the best way to store native Monero securely with Trezor?
Is it stored on the actual Monero network, or are there different versions/wrapped versions I should avoid?

Are there any risks, compatibility issues, or important setup details I should know before using Monero with Trezor?

I’m mainly trying to make sure I do this in the safest way possible without reducing Monero’s privacy or exposing my hardware wallet to unnecessary risks.

Any advice from people who have actually used Monero with Trezor would be appreciated.

Monero is supported but you cannot access the funds through Trezor suite. You have to use Monero CLI/GUI, or Feather. It's also supported on Trezor T, Safe 3 and Safe 5. The model one and Safe 7 (Trezor's first and latest models) are not supported.
And yes, when using the Monero GUI, you should be able to use any features that wallet uses. See more details here[1].

Ahh that is to bad, i have the Trezor 7. Do you think monero and trezor 7 will get supported?

"Monero is technically supported on the Trezor Safe 7 firmware. However, as Monero is not supported in Trezor Suite, and support from third-party wallet apps is still pending, it is not yet possible to use Monero with Trezor Safe 7."

The wording suggests it certainly will but how soon it happens solely depends on 3rd party wallet developers.

The Trezor 7 reportedly still does not support Monero (Source). And perhaps it will soon support Monero once further development is completed. But I personally haven’t seen any further information regarding that support. You’ll need to follow updates from Trezor to see when it becomes available. And perhaps you should check the official Trezor website or even their forum to ask for more details. Customer support is also available there so you can ask questions directly (Source).

The easiest way is to use Feather Wallet, which works to manage blockchain interaction, while Trezor acts as a signer for your keys.

it doesn't support Trezor 7 and the OP asked specifically about that model.
