Did somebody ever received a BTC amount by accident ... This is a stupid question with the developpement of Technology ... But who nows I mean did someone received it previously  ...personally i swear god that i will send it back that is the right thing to do .............

As of now never been, but seem these probably with the people who are active in a buy and sell of crypto coins of course sometimes they copied an old address and not the recent address on their clipboard but this is a human error now in reality is if someone set you a bitcoin in a address and it has a large sum amount for sure they will think, do they give it back the funds if someone DM them?. We are in space so we are into anonymity or else you will be kind and give it back.

In this its up to you if you will give it back because this aint your mistake. Just the humanity works here

Many years ago, I transferred crypto to fiat through an intermediary, to whom I sent my bitcoins, and he sent me money directly to a plastic card. And the joke is that their operator got something mixed up, and instead of $100, he sent me $1,000, and at that time it seemed like a lot of money to me, but I remembered perfectly well that I had given them my last name and first name. And a phone number. And so I immediately refunded them this excess of the erroneous amount. I did this solely because they would have identified me, but if someone had sent me a share of bitcoin by mistake, then I would have wondered how much this person would be able to identify me, and based on this conclusion alone, I would have made a decision about whether I would return these coins to him or not. But in general, our addresses here on the forum are open, and identification is not difficult because of the spreadsheets.

Such cases may have happened to others, but I think it only happened because someone had saved the Bitcoin address, making it plausible. Well, I have experienced this before, but not with Bitcoin (with shitcoin address). At that time, my friend wanted to send some shitcoin to someone else, but instead, he sent it to my address. So, from that case, I figured it was impossible for an unknown person (out of nowhere) to send Bitcoin to another person (unknown) address without any prior interaction, or without having saved the destination address previously.

Maybe if I receive a huge amount of BTC, I will send it back if someone is looking for it, but if not, I'm going to hold it until 2050.

Do you have a reason not to send it back to the sending address if you received the coin and you're sure it's not yours and after a while you were not contacted by let's say a family, friend or colleague with claims of erroneous transaction, maybe it is right to return it to the sending address since there may actually be no way the sender can reach you, unless maybe it is from an exchange hot wallet address and you cannot return it to the owner's address. I would not want to hold what is not mine for long so I would not be tempted to spend from it.

I've not received any coin by mistake as well, If someone make such a mistake, it might work if he sends dust to the same address pleading for a refund in the description, and if it is a kind person, it would be returned, else he should forget about it.

I had never received BTC that was accidentally sent to me however I nearly fell into a trap set up by a scammer who had hacked my computer in a bid to receive any BTC that I wanted to send out to a particular address, whenever I copy my receiver address on electrum wallet dashboard it is the scammer address that would be pasted if not for my due diligence I would have mistakenly send BTC to the scammer address having watch closely the pasted BTC address was similar to the copied one yet there is a noticeable difference on the address, as side that I never mistakenly send or receive BTC anonymously from any one.

What you said makes sense and that is why you will hardly hear that somebody sent Bitcoin to a wrong address or that another person received Bitcoin from an unknown sources. If it happens it's always from a saved address where if you want to send to a particular address you will mistakenly send to another, aside from internal mistakes it is quite difficult to here where a Bitcoin is sent to an address that doesn't have any affiliate with you.

I've never received Bitcoin by mistake before but I've mistakenly sent to a wrong address which I copied and luckily it belonged to my friend and we settled the matter amicably. So it's not quite possible to send to an address that is not saved in your device, still there is need to be very careful because you can mistakenly send to somebody you know that won't be willing to send it back to you, remember that Bitcoin transactions are irreversible.

Agree and had a previous experience in 2017 with XAPO Wallet ( Wichi  used for a small period and it was to get a Visa card only ) in fact i made a mistake in the addy but in this wallet i had a limit of 10 minutes i guess or maybe 5 to make anu modification ... i mean these wallets are in fact comercial and their are not following the BTC spirit 100 % ..... right now they shutdown i guess ...

You should always check first and last five characters of address, but even then, spoofed device could change addresses in background. This is why Clean Environment Policy is critical in movement of huge capital.

I believe that real trigger is most of time cognitive overload. If investor has several wallets and huge numbers of transactions, it turns mechanical and that is when vigilance wanes. To avoid this, it is important to employ address labelling at all times and not make use of copy paste from previous conversation or document. If this was indeed clipboard error, it is warning to rest of the world that with DeFi, you are your own bank, and must never be in a hurry when settling. Always assume transaction is first for them.

So many of this errors we cause it by our own selfs it’s not just to focus on hackers alone, at time so many people rush their transactions and so many people also handle more that one account so anything they do on the platform they intend to do it in a rush and thats very dangerous, I also do agree that checking the first and last character is no longer enough at all rather secure device and also taking time to before making or confirming transactions is very important most especially for investors who handle more that one account or those who invest high capital.

This is the problem, people claim that hackers and scammers are the problem, but if we go down the root cause of it, there will always be scammers and hackers whereas we can just be more safe. I do not have a lot of money, but if I did, I would be protecting it better than these people and I would not be losing any money like this. I still could, like something that is very technical could maybe make it happen, but it would not be something that they can hack into me in an hour or just convince me in an hour and I would be scammed, that wouldn't happen.

People are assuming that receiving BTC accidently from strangers is like winning lotteries but in reality if you receive a small amount from a scammer or hacker and then if you try to cash out using a centralized exchange would be a very big legal problem. I mean, we must think about both pros and cons and in this case here, we have very big cons.

In my opinion, this is not a stupid question, even though blockchain technology is designed to be very secure, human error is a major factor in cases of mistakenly sending Bitcoin to unknown people. Although it is very rare overall, according to several cases, errors like this have occurred on the Bitcointalk forum.

The case of mistakenly sending Bitcoin between individuals (on the blockchain network) ends with the funds being permanently lost for the sender, and becomes a fortune for the unknown recipient, but there are also cases where the funds are returned to the original owner because the person still upholds the value of honesty.

The OP question may seem joking and simple, but it's incredibly important and should serve as a reminder to us all to avoid sending Bitcoin incorrectly. This is especially true with several cases of clipboard hijacking malware that replaces copied addresses or manually typed addresses. So, questions like this make us more cautious when sending Bitcoin.

Sending Bitcoin incorrectly can have fatal consequences and are almost always irreversible. Bitcoin transactions once confirmed on the blockchain, cannot be undone. If we send to the wrong recipient our Bitcoin will be lost forever. The chances of the recipient returning it are very slim unless we know the recipient and can contact them directly as in the case you mentioned. However, if the address we send to is not a member of this forum, it will be difficult to return it let alone contact them.

Only in cex, when someone accidentally send it to my account, and i still don't know why or how that happened. Luckily for the sender, it was a small amount. It wasn't referral or anything like that, but someone send btc for my user id inside the exchange.

But if you receive something by accident to your non-custodial wallet, it's most likely that sender would have your address in some list and accidentally copy pasted it before sending. Because sending something accidentally to ANY active address via typo would be near impossible.
