I get confused with how to resize the image, after having tried out this link shared to upload images. Is it that the images automatically resize by itself or one has to toggle the buttons to resize it to fit the forum standards?

The only forum default is that the images are less than 2.5mb.
Then in terms of size, everything depends for a better view.

Specifically, what do you want to do?

Perhaps, this is the right place!



This has been my case for a long time now and still hasn't been fixed. I used to think it was my network providers but I have seen there could be more to it. Each time I try to upload images using this my device, it opens to the place that I drag images into it and then I click done. Instead of opening to the interface where I can click "upload", it returns me to the fresh homepage and if I retry, it repeats again.

I learned how to bypass this hurdle by sending the images to a different device where I also had to copy the link into and it works on that device. This is tiring because I will have to first send the images to the device, upload the images and then forward the BBCodes to my device to use in a post.

Is there any solution to this problem or any explanation to this @Joker_josue

This should be some configuration of your device.
You should try to check if you have any kind of configuration blocking this.

Now I understand what you are actually saying I will advise you to update your Chrome, once you update it I believe it will not give you same issues again, when I got my new device I was having issues of using https://www.talkimg.com/ so what I did was to update my chrome once I did that it stopped giving me issues so try it out if it those not work then report back here and then explain with screenshots so I can know exactly what to tell you next but first update your chrome or download new browser and use it.

Based on your description, the problem seems to be some kind of setting on your device.

I finally did and it worked. Thanks so much for this observation. But then, same browser I use on my other device that does the upload perfectly well is not working here. Being my default browser, I will keep trying to figure out what the settings are and know if I can fix them. For now I will have to be using Edge for my uploads while continuing with Chrome as a default browser. I think TalkImg is very user friendly than bitlist which is while I prefer this.

Edit: I have updated and my chrome now works perfectly well too.
What OS are you on? On Windows Chrome and Edge should mostly update on their own, unless they are configured to NOT do so (which is likely a bad idea, as popular browser should be updated frequently).

And btw, Edge's browser engine is basically Chrome with some tweaks and Microsoft harvesting your data instead of Google.

It can also matter if and what extensions you're using in your browser. I would highly recommend to be very careful what extensions you're using.

Ad blockers and anti-virus could interfere, too, if configured badly. There're many places to screw up if you're tinkering in your setup and maybe lack the knowledge of what you're doing (speaking more in general here, not specifically to you).

Using Screenshots from TradingView.com

Charts, price action, and strategy results can be conveniently captured using the "Take a snapshot" button directly in the TradingView interface.

This generates a link like: https://www.tradingview.com/x/lB3929tX/
which points to an HTML page, not to the image itself.

To obtain the direct image URL, right-click on the screenshot and select "Copy image address" (or "Copy image URL", depending on your browser).

You will get a link similar to: https://s3.tradingview.com/snapshots/l/lB3929tX.png
This is the direct image URL and can be used inside the forum's [img] tags.

Their website may not allow the use of these images on other websites.
So the best way is to make a copy of the image and then upload it to an image hosting.

No any problem with images from tradingview

This is actually a nice guide, well done @OP and I hope new users find it very helpful when trying to upload images on the forum.

Yesterday this was actually the kind of guide I was looking for to give the OP of a thread asking about this same issue and I’m sure that was what inspired you to crate this post; well I couldn’t find any so I just link the official announcement thread to the OP but it’s really helpful and good since you’ve created the guide..
