Moving odds, do you play with it?

Yesterday I hit a small winning bet unintentionally, and the whole bonus on the actual bet I wanted to take was unexpected

So, I a hunch on a horse on the featured race at Chester, I decided to take my time, the phone rang and the race started while I still hadn't placed my bet, and the odds kept changing and the system refused to take my bet, the horse went from 2, 2.5, 2.75, 3...I got angry and said fuck you,  then the next second, what the hell, and I clicked accept all odds, the bet went through at 4x

The favorite was sweating halfway down the race, but well, the tip was right, he was a stayer and held on!
Not that it covers my losses from the two CL games, but still, unexpected bonus!

Moving odds can be very risky so I don’t usually bet on it, maybe in few occasions when a team shows so much prowess for a win but the odds keeps going against them. Mostly for sports betting, live odds are favorable to some people but it still all about luck right? You can't possibly bet on a live odd without watching the game and analyzing the performance of your bet, that would be a dead end.

if you’re dealing with odds' adjustments and risk calculations, it might be important to keep this feature turned off, but in my opinion, a 5–10% change in odds doesn’t really make much of a difference when preparing a bet slip. when i turn this setting off, i have to keep confirming the odds over and over because they’re constantly changing.

as i said, i think what matters most are our choices. even if the odds change by very small amounts, what’s important to me is being able to place that bet. in such situations, when the odds drop, i think to myself: if the odds had been low from the start, would i still have placed that bet? the answer would likely be yes. you can think of it like a product returning to its regular price after a discount.

Unlike you who is betting on horse race, I bet on football and I have used this option many times and in some cases I would win or lose the bet. Since I always book my games on time even before the game going live, I have not observed this option to accept the odds change but the day I was betting on some live game, the odds was changing drastically as I was busy selecting other games but by the time I was done and wanted to stake, that's when the option popped out and I accepted it, I won that bet. So, even if I was not fast to stake on my selection, even if the option of odds change comes up, I always accept it unless the odds have reduced to nothing before I would reject it.

Odd changes happens in all sports games, I don't bet on horse racing I focus only on soccer and a lot of times I come across these odd changes whenever I want to place a bet.  When the odds keep on adjusting it is always a sign to indicate that the game is either going in the direction of the prediction or the complete opposite, it depends on if the odds is increasing or reducing.

Horse racing is a very fun game, when they said gambling is for entertainment purposes, I think they mean to say horse racing to be precise, but one gats to be careful when betting in games like horse racing because you might be carried away to due to fun it may be and how lucky you may be than other games. But, you have to accept it as a game and not to hope for it to be a life saver for you because any wrong step can make your entertainment to turn into pains.

I don't remember ever accepting moving odds since my time in gambling because unlike most other functions on the platform I use, moving odds is more like a signal and not a guarantee to win. In this case however you took the risk and got the reward and that's what counts the most.
Moving odds if read properly can make a gambler stay profitable in the long run, but it isn't a guarantee to win frequently.

I remember using this feature unintentionally because I didn't know what it was used for back then. First, I tried betting, and the odds were changing, so I accepted all odds, and my stake went. What I remember vividly was that the odds this time were not increasing, rather it was decreasing. If im not mistaken, this feature can affect the potential winning negatively or positively. By negative winning, I mean the odds decreasing, which will lead to a low potential winning, and vice versa.

I guess betting on horse racing would be much more entertaining if you did it directly from a racetrack so that you can watch the races live. It seems like that kind of sport that requires you to be close to the action. I wouldn't turn down the chance to visit a hippodrome and see it for myself. It's basically the same thing as when you want to make a post here on the forum and you get a warning that someone else has made a post and whether you will like to review yours before posting, you can turn it off when ever you want to buy most people still keep it on to be made aware of new posts before they post theirs, odds change alot in live bets and that setting is there to make sure people know what odd they are choosing, you can turn it off and place the bet anyway and your bet will be placed at whatever odd was there at the time, it's definitely not a magic button.

When I watch the game live while monitoring the changing odds for better opportunities, I also use the magic words 'f*ck you' a lot. LOL! But I can't remember using the magic button. I can't accept all changes to the odds precisely because I'm targeting higher odds. If it goes down, I'd again wait for another update.

It's often frustrating because the window of opportunity closes quickly but you need to confirm that you accept the new odds. As soon as you're done confirming, the odds change once again, you'd be asked to confirm once more, and so on and so forth until the odds finally go down too low I'd just pass.

From 2.25 to 4, it's a 140% increase in profits!
Be careful when you look at those odds cause the difference is bigger than it may seem
2x vs 2.20 is 10%, but your winning is 100 vs 120 for $100 bet, which is 20%.

The 5% you might miss in odds might also be the difference between win and loss at the end of the month for a large-volume gambler!

All events have a small time frame in which the odds must not change in order for the bet to be valid, in the hours before a game the odds barely move, even if they would change twice an hour it would mean you would have to take the bet in the exact 6 seconds out of 3600, a 1/600 shot!

The 6f race at Chester had a winning time of 1m 12.74s , you must be lucky enough to slide bet in that timeframe,

It is all risky risky and one just have to just accept some risks and see how they’re going to play out. The bookmakers always look for ways to see how they’ll trap you into going for the higher odds and not winning the bet at the very last minute but often times we get to be lucky and when risked well, it covers up for most losses we may have faced in the past. This option is kinda attractive but I will always want to give it a second thought on how favorable it will be for me before accepting to use it. The odds changes during the game will always make you to have this rational thinking before settling for anything even as they appear during in game.

I have actually been experiencing odd changes in betting but not the race as you made mentioned, most time it happens when games are running live and when you want to place bet you would see that the game odds will continue to change mostly when it happen to the team you choose is being oppressed by the other team or maybe they scored them where the opposite team is winning their odds gets increasing and when you would want Place you will noticed that they system will say odds has changed do you want to accept or not.

Sometimes the underdogs also have really distorted odds that are just worth trying in the rare case that they do score and you can cash out early. Some of my best bets have been when live betting and having the underdog get ahead by random chance, then switching to make a counter bet on the favorites to draw or win. It feels like when an underdog gets ahead it lights a fire back under the other team and they really fight back hard, or at least that's been my experience. It can be a very intense and stressful time though, because you are really watching every second to maximize your advantage and any moment it can swing the wrong way or leave you stuck in a bet that you wanted to cash out.

I don't use it often yet when I place sport betting I say or I keep that option accept new odds all the time active as I don't care what happens if I have made up my mind on the event I will bet, whatever odds are I don't place my bets based on odds rather on my feelings about a game, of course backed by strong analysis. In live betting for example in soccer or any other sport like tennis or basketball the odds move all the time and sometime you may win a lot by it by watching the live event though also sometimes you can lose a lot of money because sport is unpredictable and that is the beauty of it, we may see a team only attacking in soccer and not being able to score while the other team to score in their first occasion.
