What your confident you have on your bet

I want to know if when you place a bet do you think all your predictions would always result to be true and not false?

Considering that in sports betting, a lot of things need to fall into place first before those predictions come true, there's no certainty whatsoever ^{[e.g., an important player could get injured before the kick-off and that could lead to a different outcome]}.

let say if you have about 2-8 games selected to gamble is there any way you would stake higher amounts because you felt that your predictions would results to how you plan it?

Regardless of how I feel & think about each of my predictions, I always prefer to bet the same amount.

Well sometimes I use to force myself to have hope on the bet I placed simply because sometimes my bet can look like something that is impossible even when I selected the games myself and it has occur to me several times that those bet I always see as impossible are the ones that always come out as I predicted and when gambling no matter how lengthy my selection are, once I have the mindset to stake high i will though i always used what I can afford to lose so I won't regret so much if it doesn't come as expected.

I think confidence is a double edged sword in gambling. You can win some games and then suddenly your logic is blunted by your confidence which leads to a flurry or reds and you end up in a balance lesser than what you started at. Then you will regret not quitting early.

Sometimes I go against the odds, this is because I feel there is a chance for a surprise to happen, but not always because I know that the outcome is quite difficult to win. So when I go against the odds, I am not quite sure, just trying my luck, but actually even following the favorite is sometimes doubtful after seeing news that could make the result not favor the favorite.

Whenever I place a sports bet, I am 100% sure in winning it, otherwise I wont be placing it. However universe and special powers have other thoughts How can a person not be confident in his bet if before placing it he has done some research, made analysis, thought about possible ways sports event would go? I realize that I don't have good skills in analyzing, I just place a bet after I found the team that I thinks could win. I don't feels confident and bet without heart feeling, just bet and use the money. I know win and lose will take turns so I don't have thinks much.

But I admitted that many gamblers feels confident with their skills and thinks that their prediction are right according to their analysis. That is no problems and up to them so we could only focus to us and don't think seriously with that.

I don't have to over react if my prediction is wrong because that can happens easily. But one thing that I will not do is not recover my loss by placing another bet and only take a rest.

Nobody plays a bet with expectancy that it would fail, what would be the joy or purpose of betting when you think the game would fail? In some cases, the game with the highest expectancy could end up really bad so its best to reduce your expectations but that does not mean to expect that the game fails.

This is what I hope will happen because every time I bet, I expect my decision to be correct, except for those gamblers who just want to throw some money on high odds match and hope for a miracle. It’s common for gamblers to expect their choice to be the correct one, right? But staking higher just because we’re confident our choice will win is the wrong mindset, since nothing is guaranteed in gambling. Confident doesn't make a game to be successful, confident makes you (the gambler) to overestimate the probability of the game and convince you to either stake more than your bankroll or even take loans to place that bet or encourage others to bet on the game as well.

In the positive note, confidence makes us calm and optimistic towards the result of the game.  It is true that confidence does not increase our chance of winning but the action behind that confidence can increase our chance of winning by thoroughly analyzing the competing team, the different angle that can affect the result of the game.

Confidence won't make us take loans if we apply responsible gambling, but overconfidence do especially when the gambler has no discipline do.

The outcome of every bet we make is based on probability, the results is never known until the game is over, so if you are being overconfident of your bet, then you might just ruin your bankroll faster than you should. You know, for everyone, it's always different and because of self discipline, some people already knows how best to handle such feeling while majority do not. Someone has encouraged me to bet on a game and they even said I should stake on the game with a huge amount and if I don't have the money, I should make sure to take loan and stake on the game. It depends actually. If you are betting on sports, but you are ignoring the odds because of your confidence, then you are going to make loss in betting. Being a confident with your bet is good, but you should not be over confident that will lead you losing your bet. Sometimes, I can see that I am losing the bet and I have the opportunity to cashout while the match is running, the chance of losing is high, I can still cashout a portion of my bet. I still do not cashout due to the over confidence. I tell myself that I will lose it, but I won't cashout. This kind of stubborn mindset makes us loss in betting. If I see that I am losing the bet, I should take back what I could get. I did these things a few times. As I said, being confident on your bet is good. But don't be over confident.

Doubts in the bets we place will always be there, no matter how confident you are at first but after pressing the bet button the confidence slowly begins to decline as you see the situation of the match taking place. No one has their lower expectations. Everyone actually wants to win, but the problem is that many people cannot accept losing very easily. Only if you can accept this will discipline come in gambling. There is no problem if you do not think about losing at the beginning and whenever. But losing is a very common thing in gambling. Okay what after your confident and it happens that the game doesn't go as you planned what would be your reaction over the bet, would you place and bet or recover what you already lose or you would give it time for from the gambling site and allow time to count before you gamble again?

It's normal most of the times every gambler will always believe that his games will definitely play out untill the end of the game so when you play a game and you are waiting for the outcome definitely there is this confidence that builds hope in you and keeps making you believe that you can always win and that's the driving force that keeps you hoping and keeps on playing and hoping for a win and even a bigger win some day. This things makes you even continue play while you still are losing you don't really care too much about losing and it feels like you would win next time and when you eventually play you just keep having this confidence that your games will definitely play out and until you get to the end of the game you do not give up.

And that's a much better way to approach gambling. No matter how good you think your strategies and analysis are, yo need to understnd that things could still go sideways, so your bets can never really be good enough. So it's always better to prepare your mind for whatever outcome and avoid putting yourself in a tight spot. Not getting into the revenge gambling mode is very beneficial a discipline to uphold, most effectively by having a budget and never going beyond it even if you lost it all whether quickly or after a while. Losing a bet and fretting over it is a sign of immaturity in gambling and/or that you have gambled irresponsibly and couldn't afford to loose the money you used in staking the bet. People who solely focus on recovering their lost amount rarely have any fun in gambling, and they hardly do recover anything since they've put themselves under some sort of pressure, I noticed from experience that when I'm calmer and don't fight to recover my losses, then I do stumble on unexpected wins sometimes, and I enjoy my session better even though I loose, since I don't go beyond my budget.

I completely agree with the above poster because he is completely right.

Gambling is 100% mathematical probability. Anyone who says otherwise or that they have found some sort of strategy to beat the odds is lying to others and/or himself/herself. And that kind of self-lying can really affect one's own psychology. Or as they say, they fake it until they believe it.

Deceiving oneself is only going to lead to chaos and most likely losing much more money than you expected to lose in the first place.
