What is the hardest things for you to understand when you started learnin crypto

When I started learning about crypto,it wasn’t as difficult as most people usually think it is.Although,I was having some challenges with crypto slangs,not until a thread was created about crypto slangs and I began reading and understanding them and I became conservant with them,I could remember vividly I also made a comment.Since I had no passion for the technical aspect of crypto,I never bothered myself on that aspect.Everything was made easy for me when I was reading most crypto slangs and watching some YouTube videos concerning crypto slang,so that was the only hardest thing I couldn’t understand back then.

Understanding crypto now has been made much easier compared to how it was during the early days when crypto was first invented. There are lots of materials available online, there is AI where one can easily ask questions and get quick answers, and there are now forums and crypto communities like Bitcointalk where like minds can align and share ideas. The early adopters did not have access to all of these. The only thing every newbie should be careful about is the source they get their information from, because some sources can be misleading.

Everything has been made available now; what newbies need to do is study bit by bit. Crypto is broad and very technical, so understanding some things will definitely be difficult.

No one should try to learn everything within a short period of time; that is where confusion starts from.

I think it's mainly about the wallets thing. Because many of the wallets before like the web wallets were trusted by many of us as newbies. But eventually, we've just learned that it's better to entrust the wallets that are non custodial. With custodials, you entrust your money or btc to be specific in the third party. And you'll never know that all of a sudden that they'll email you that your wallet is not accessible in the mean time due for some reasons they have found in you. So, thank goodness that when I was still new many helpful folks from the forum have educated most of us from that difference.

Everything. At first, almost everything seemed confusing and complicated, but gradually, step by step, everything becomes clear and learn how to interact with wallets, networks, fees, and so on.

I've been thinking about it now, trying to remember when difficulties arose, and, frankly, I still can't remember; everything seems familiar and understandable.

Things like the wallet, gas fees, network/blockchain, coin/token, how to invest or choose the right crypto, etc, were walkover for me while starting crypto newly, as cryptocurrency itself is so simple, it just needs you to give it a little time to learn it. However, when it gets to the technical part, I always get stuck at some point, even till now, and I don't bother to push myself anymore because I already know the important part to profit from.

This is why beginners who really want to learn have to be in excitement mood, always curious and always want to know, you need to like bitcoin at first for you to have all that patience to want to learn.

You can't sit for long in a place that you don't like or in a place where you don't want to belong, this is what I have learnt about Bitcoin and crypto in general, it's something I love to do, it's something I want to belong.

This is why I will never feel tired trying to know about Bitcoin and Blockchain in general, I think the knowledge in the Blockchain system is infinite, there will always be something you missed, and if you are so open to wanting to know more you will feel at home.

Most complicated thing to learn was to understand that not everything that shines were gold. It was hard and a way expensive process of learning to tell which altcoins deserves attention and which is scam. When you are new and first open everything something crypto related, it is hard not to lose focus because there are a lot of moments that promise you to earn in no time. All the technical part (wallet, transaction, fees, blockchains) was not that hard. You just need to try and after one or two mistake (mistake - when you spend more time or money than needed while achieving goal) you will learn everything. With all those invest, buy, try us, send and etc, it is hard to learn even after making many mistakes.

One way to learn quickly is that any word you come across and don’t understand, you should do your research to know what that word means. Because, so far as you are into cryptocurrency or Bitcoin, you will definitely come across them again.

Learning is a gradual process, and it requires patience. If you are in haste to learn, you may be under pressure, which will only make you more confused. Normally, at the beginning of learning about cryptocurrency, it is always confusing with the strange words you will encounter, but you shouldn't allow that to distract you. Just keep on learning, and over time, with the effort you put in, your understanding will expand. Learning requires patience, and it is impossible to learn everything at once.

you are right, the most difficult part of crypto which till date I’m finding it very difficult is the technical aspect of bitcoin. Things like how the nodes are built , how bitcoins are mined and so on. I know there are still a lot of things to be learned about bitcoin that requires thorough technical knowledge which I will definitely find so difficult and that’s why I haven’t bothered to learn that part yet. As for the non technical part, I’m still learning everyday as I come across conversations about bitcoin, I learn new things because the cryptocurrency is a universe of its own.

Few people can say that they understand everything perfectly, especially complex technical things that are mostly dealt with by developers. I don't see why the average person interested in cryptocurrencies would even want to know something like that, but if you have a desire for knowledge, no one is stopping you from learning about it.

People only need to learn and understand fundamentals of Bitcoin, blockchain, wallets so that they can start with testnet, then main net. For too deep technical knowledge and skills, they don't have to learn or master these things which are mainly for developers.

Definitely, there is no restriction against non developers to learn about technical knowledge, it's just if people don't or not yet master it, they should not teach the others. Because it can mislead other people technically, and that's bad and unnecessary contribution for Bitcoin community. Mislead newbies can make them fearful about Bitcoin and stay away from it rather than helping Bitcoin adoption growth.
