I will like to hodl 7 coins, I have invested 90% of my money on bitcoin which is more than just an investment but also an Inflation-resistant asset for me, so I am not selling at all.

The problem is that I need 6 altcoins that I can invest the remaining 10% of my money on. I have thought of sol, bnb and few other coins but I just want to hear the opinions from you all and know the good reason you invested or which to invest on the altcoins.

I do not trust altcoins, I can afford to lose the 10% money but I will not like that to happen.

The path you've choosen the right path, as much as many of us believe only in bitcoin, it's is a basic fact that it's not only bitcoin that will make investors profit, good altcoins can and will still make investors likely more profit than bitcoin would, the only advantage of investing in bitcoin now is that it's like a fireproof asset where investment won't fail to yield good result so long as the investor is patient enough, so we can say that the risk of investing in bitcoin is critically low, while the risk of investing in altcoins is higher and the height will depend on the altcoin choosen, but so also is the profit potentials.

Here are my personal choices when it comes to choosing altcoins to invest in for the long term.

1. BNB
2. Near protocol
3. Rhea finance
4. Ton
5. Maybe Solana, but I am very OK with the mentioned four.

Now that might not be up six, and the reason is investing in altcoin doesn't have anything to do with the number of alts choosen, it's about the quality of the alts you choose to invest in..
I may not also have mentioned why I choose four, but maybe you will make out time to do your own research on each of them and find out why yourself

This is where the importance of personal research counts, because the Nigerian market scape as concerns crypto currency is still growing and the priority right now should be coins that offer a good hedge against the devaluing Naira and must be high performance that's great for web3 development and great of course for trading activities.

For me, my picks would be Solana, Etherum, Tron, Binance coin, Chain link and am not so sure about Hyperliquid, but it still makes the list.

A pro tip is always to hold Bitcoin in a different self custody wallet, have some holdings of USDT or USDC in the polygon network or Solana network, because they may act as a serious defense against the volatilities of the altcoin market and devaluing Naira in essence.

If you’re looking for the best altcoins to invest into after making enough or more than enough investment in bitcoin, you should settle for the top six altcoins in the marekt value. Those coins that are occupying that positing have been their for a long time and their reasons for maintaining those spot is the value they have in the cryptocurrency glabal marekt, and the resistivity they had in the long time in the marekt during when markets are faced with downturns. In short, they’ve tested the marekt during the good and bad times and have been able to maintain their position still in their marekt cap. They are the best to go for and don’t fall for hypes and fake promises of new coins.

Since you’re already holding 70% of your money (discretionary I think) in bitcoin, I don’t really see why you want to risk investing in the Altcoin. You can just add it up to your Bitcoin holdings.

But if you still want to try your luck with the Altcoins, you have to really look at as a gamble, you might get lucky and you might lose it all or not see the desired profits.

Look at the ETH we might say it’s the strongest Altcoin but the performance isn’t that strong, but it still has potentials and then Solana, BNB. XRP hasn’t been doing so well.
I don’t really trust Altcoins again..my advise is stick with bitcoin.

I don't know  if you have really seen or checked the growth of XRP for so many years. Although it's still not bad as an Altcoin. You can try dogecoin & TRX too but I'm  not giving you any guarantee of not loosing your money. Alot of Altcoins might really crumble in the coming years but until then I think they can still have a blast for one more time.

For you not to trust altcoins is the best thing you are doing for yourself because altcoins would make you lose money that you would even think whether you will at a point recover your losses.

From the altcoins you picked to invest in below, the altcoins I will choose for you are, Solana, BNB, XRP, and RNDR. The rest of the altcoins I didn't mention from the ones you chose, I invested in them last year, I saw how their market performance was, it wasn't encouraging to really invest in them again. You can try your luck in them but do know that altcoin season is not guaranteed again in the market. People's focus is on Bitcoin, which I know occupies a good percentage of your portfolio

I will look into the coin but I do not like new projects because I have lost significant amount of money on many new coins. Let us see what other people will comment about Chamby on this thread.

You just excluded a token that has a lot of potentials. If you ask me, I would advise you invest part of the 10 percent in Chamby even though it is a new project. Chamby token is quite different from the regular tokens I usually see out there, and it has strong potential to become a future store of value.

Note, I no dey sweet mouth you. I am already holding a large amount of chamby in my Tonkeeper. However, a few of the altcoins you listed have potential, while the rest are high risk high reward, so chose wisely my friend.

I really like your investment approach because after putting 90% into bitcoin, using the remaining 10% for altcoins is actually a smart plan. Just try to focus on solid altcoins with good potential.

I de very glad say even though say you want to invest 10% if your investment funds inside altcoins you de specific say you no trust dem and e de good say you clarify that fact because you no fit to compare any altcoins to Bitcoin. I don see di list of altcoins wey you drop bellow and I quite agree with your selection because I consider most of dem as top altcoins, no need to add to di list because dem even de too plenty for my liking.

Since you have already hold bitcoin with about 90 percent of your discretionary income while the remaining 10 goes to altcoin is also good, but to me I wouldn't be that too eager to hold altcoin instead holding Bitcoin be much more better. When you have experience with altcoin you can never think of including them their to portfolio, thus, there are people who are solely dedicated of holding altcoin and to every little coin that just launched they wouldn't mind rushing to invest and after some weeks you would see them complaining about how they have been rug pulled, meaning it's greed that leads them into that.

The crypto space have been really one of the hectic grounds to get involved with. I agree with you to an extent. XRP has really underperformed compared to the expectations many people had years ago, even though it still remains one of the strongest surviving altcoins. Dogecoin and TRX have also shown they can surprise the market during bullish periods, but the truth is that investing in altcoins always comes with serious risk. Most of them depend heavily on hype and market sentiment, which is why many may not survive long term.

That said, there’s still a chance for another major altcoin rally before the market fully matures. The key is knowing when to take profits and not getting emotionally attached to any coin.

Bitcoin has been a reliable, and best cryptocurrency in existence, and their are investors that never thought of investing in any other cryptocurrency (altcoins) no matter how appealing they look like. However, diversifying your cryptocurrency investment is not a wrong idea, but as a cryptocurrency investor, it is necessary you consider Bitcoin as your no one priority. You mentioned sol, and BNB , and will also recommend other cryptocurrency like eth, ADA, Link, Dodge, these are altcoins you can consider if you must invest in altcoins.

While considering other cryptocurrency to invest in, ensure you don't compromise with your bitcoin investment, because is the only trusted, and legitimate cryptocurrency that has not failed investors right from the beginning of bitcoin.

I know you must have gotten feed up with people repeatedly telling to buy bitcoin and maybe think it's just to make up for post it let me tell you that, they might just God speaking to you but it is always difficult to know but let me also join the people who have told you previously to buy bitcoin on to also sink another reminder that, now is the right time to time to buy bitcoin and I don't know why you want to risk your money blindly and even though I don't know how much is this 10% but trust me, that this period, it is not advisable to risk money blindly when there are other options that seems certain (bitcoin)

I have a plan for altcoins, and I want to implement it. But I am not perfect yet for this. So I am making the first investment in myself. Now I just need to learn the strategy and increase my income wisely. Sometimes I get scared when I hear about altcoins because altcoins are not as reliable and safe as Bitcoin.

Talking of altcoin to invest in, I could only talk about ETH compared to the rest of the other altcoins, as they are not as stable as one could think. They are not as reliable as one could think, as their market base is not as strong as we could imagine. ETH already has a large market base that has been in existence before most of these tall alts I have seen here, so they can not be compared to ETH in terms of reliability and durability.

In my opinion I think having seven altcoins that you are right investing in can be very risky but it all depends on you as the investor. Altcoins can be very tricky and only a few like Ethereum, Solana, BNB can be useful but this doesn't really escape the fact that altcoins are highly volatile compared to Bitcoin. When putting your money into all of these coins you must Make sure that you only invest a particular amount of money that you can afford to lose or better still cut down the number of altcoin investments that you have running.
