I lost lots of money when I started trading, and it was due to leverage trading. I was just kind of desperate to make money, and I believe leverage trading can make me earn more, but instead of making money then, I was just losing money because the leverage which I was using was just kind of high, and I was getting liquidated. If you are new to trading, it’s better you avoid leverage trading, because you have high chances that you going to be losing money.

Same here. When you think that spot trading is wasting of time, you will be forced to trade futures because of the leverage of you do the maths in the way you are feeling it will favor you, but when you start losing money, that’s when you will understand how risky the future trading using high leverage, but when you use low or small leverage, you will still make profit and your liquidation chance is low because of the small leverage, but the high profit is what you shouldn’t expect anymore.
The reason why so many traders would rather go for future than spot is simply because leverage kinda makes the potential profits appear to be much more bigger than it’ll ever be in spots. But the problem is that some traders only think about the rewards of a decision but rarely about the potential risks associated with it, they fail to realize that the same leverage that can multiply your profits also has the potential to destroy and blow your account quickly when the market moves against you.
I think you are missing it up here which you need to take second look at it so that you can understand the message you are trying to pass here. For anyone that is a trader to trade safely without putting themselves into problems, they need to trade the spot market isnce the future market can be very risky and if you are trading it without understanding how the future market moves, this can be a problem for the trader which can also make them to lose quick money from the market unexpectedly.
Trading can look easy for what is beneath it is difficult to explain and you need to have complex understanding about the market and also how you can analyze what will be the next reaction of price.

You are very right, my bad, I missed the point. Like you said.., trading might look easy but its difficult to actually profits from it, if one doesn't get better understanding of how trading truly works and how to iniate trade rightly. And true, spot is the best for one to trade on as they get more experience with it and in it. One can start small, especially as a newbie, as the market doesn't care what one thinks about it, but as long as one is prepared, they can surely achieve their success.

Risk management is important in trading. It is not only important where the price ends up. What is important is how much we are ready or able to tolerate the price fluctuations along the way. Trading may seem very easy from the outside. However, the success of trading depends on discipline, knowledge and risk management. Therefore  trading without a plan increases the possibility of losses. However  just because you have all the preparations does not mean that it will increase the possibility of success. The market is uncertain  so the focus should be on risk control and making good decisions in the long run. Beginners should not focus on profits but on learning, protecting capital and gaining experience because success is not possible if you cannot survive.

That is what people are missing.

They think that trading is so easy that they're missing the whole point of profiting. It's not easy to profit mostly for the newbies.

Going through a lot of losses and frustrations before they can say that they're a profitable trader.

And when they see some traders profit with leverage, they'll copy them thinking it's easy even it's not.

I also support the view that people should stick to spot trading and avoid futures trading. Its closer to gambling than actual trading.
However, spot trading is not easy either. It may be less risky than trading futures, but at the end of the day, its still a game of probabilities.

Spot trading still carries risk and does not guarantee profit. So, never speak with too much certainty when it comes to trading. Hard work, effort, and perseverance alone cannot guarantee success in trading. In trading, those factors only increase the chances of success, they dont guarantee anything

Why beginners mostly lose money in crypto trading is because they think that trading only means investing money and they will get good profit without any effort. We get to know about wild fire of crypto trading only once we start trading it with real money. This is harsh reality of trading that there are more losers here then winners. There is no way one can ascertain that now he is fully prepared for the trading because even experienced traders find it hard to tackle risk and volatility associated with trading. Just keep these things in your mind, if you are planning to start trading.

Well, it is true that sometime people not really understand the presence of risk until they might lose real money in their own trading account. This is a lesson that comes with great pain and its very expensive, that no theory studied online can substitute it. Small sums of money as a learning tool is the most prudent investment to anyone keen on learning how to enjoy the crypto market dynamics.

This is just to have fun today. I hope many newbie traders can learn from this, to know how dangerous leverage can be.

We've all been there somehow.

Some people still don't understand leverage yet. They think high leverage mean high profit but it is not. It means high chance to get liquidated. Leverage does not increase your profit potential, it only increases the speed of the outcome.

It's fun writing about it but it's not funny experiencing it. Despite several stories like this, people still ignore the warnings. Even if you must use leverage, use so little that won't liquidate you in a wick.

It is still about the regret of using high leverage in a way your money will be liquidated, but later the market will reverse and get to the price you opened the position and the price of the coin will go more in your favour if not that your trading fund has been liquidated, you are supposed to make profit.

Using high leverage is not recommended for beginners, and even experienced traders don't always apply high leverage when trading.
Experienced traders will recognize market momentum and usually try to adjust their leverage accordingly. However, the problem is how a beginner with no trading experience can use high leverage.
Trading strategies are standard and have several methods, so once someone learns them properly, they can gradually grasp them.
The problem lies in maintaining discipline, which is sometimes difficult for anyone to implement, especially if someone is greedy and wants to make a lot of money in trading.

This is the problem with trading, your idea may be right in the end but your luck is so bad that you can get liquidated before you make a profit. This is what happens to traders when the market goes against a trader, liquidating the position. Then it may come back in the direction the trader wanted. But then you regret it. And new traders only think about whether the price will go up or down. But they don't value thinking about how much the market can go against them.

Trading is just something that even you have experience in trading you will still lose one day because is always unpredictable and everything can change in a seconds. I can says that trading is something that you need to have the experience and luck before you can succeed in it is not easy for many people joining trading. Is almost some years they have some traders that have not get what they need yet just struggle and learning everyday but one day he will surly pay you if you have the patience. Nothing always comes easy with no challenges .

Well, you are also right but it depends to what people wants and how much knowledge concerning trading, some people who has a better understanding of trading might decide not to trade on spot, but that's not advisable for newbies because of how the unstable the market is, which it can cause them pains and sleepless nights.  So that is why its best for them to stay where they can be able to manage risk and increase their chances of profiting from their trading, though trading in spot might not give them what they may want instantly but its much better that futures trading.

This is true, there are a lot of veterans who do very safe trading as well, and some are taking risks that they are aware and have worked on it for years to grow up to that level, they did not jump into it, they started small and gained experience to the point where they can do good. You do not pick up a guitar, never knowing a single chord, and go make a big concert to 20 thousand people.

You start by learning at home, or at a course, for years, and practice at home for years, and then join a group, then practice together for years, and then you do smaller venues, like bars, and if you do fine there, then you start doing a bit more, getting closer to 100 people, and eventually after many many years, you reach that level. Same with trading, you do not start with 100x leverage for all your bankroll, that's not advised at all, you will lose 100% guaranteed.

I totally agreed with you, Rome wasn't built in a day, its takes time before it was finished, so its trading, one can't just profit from trading without any effort put to it, one needs to pass through process, make every necessary adjustments and do more research, which will help them to navigate through challenges and do the right thing for them to become successful and profitable in their trading, the more knowledge and understanding they acquired, the more experienced they will get and protect themselves from some mistakes that might ruined their plans.

It happened to me many times in the past.

Have you not experienced it before?

When you are doing actual trades, sir, how much leverage do you use in your trading activity? Because from what I am doing now, I am already nervous with 20x leverage even though
I only deposited a small fund.

Because when it comes to actual trades, the feeling is really different, honestly, it is so nervous that I can't explain it, maybe it's just like this when
you are new to crypto trading like this.

It is still about the regret of using high leverage in a way your money will be liquidated, but later the market will reverse and get to the price you opened the position and the price of the coin will go more in your favour if not that your trading fund has been liquidated, you are supposed to make profit.
Left to me it's not just about the use of high leverage  as regards  newbie  trading but  also the choice  of lot size matter most. If you're new into trading  you should  not be so desperate  to o use big lot size if not you will just blow the account  in no time. The leverage  is just to allow you get into the trade but I don't think it has that effect on how your profit  or losses  comes as compared  to the effect of Choosing  a big lot size and no trading  experience.

However, as I said, trading is just a game of probability. It is not like ordinary skills such as playing the guitar, programming, or cooking, or other jobs. Where all you have to do is practice consistently, and your skill improve over time, and results are almost guaranteed.
Trading does not offer that kind of certainty. Thats why you can sometimes do everything right and still end up losing money.

When it comes to probability based pursuit, if you have tried your best and dedicated a lot of time but still keep failing, that might just be the signal to stop.

The main problem of some newbies is that instead of them to learn a lots from that had experience so that they can get their own experience on how the trading system works, before they showcase get deeper into it but some will be claim wiseness which is why most of the newbie’s failed easily in trading.

I learned trading through YouTube when I was new. But after 2 months of practice, I started training on the first day with a small amount of money. Unfortunately, I could not observe very well and suffered the loss of the first trade. I think beginners should learn everything by trading slowly with less money. By doing this they can be more aware of the market and can move forward with courage. Because repeated attempts can avoid failure. But I can say from my experience, all kinds of knowledge are needed to trade. Everything should be learned and practiced regularly. Spend as much time as need for it. A close friend of mine has been gaining knowledge about the trade for about 3 years but he fails to observe it properly. So to gain knowledge about trade requires a lot of patience.

I'm almost 100% certain that more people have lost money using leverage in trading than those who have gained from it. The simple reasoning is that the leverage is kind of gambling if you don't know how to use it smartly. People treat leverage trading like gambling, where they take outrageous leverage like 100x and get liquidated within minutes. For others, I myself did this on a gambling site (BC) when I was playing there. They offer leverage trading and I was so attracted by those massive leverage opportunities because you feel that you are basically trading 100x of your capital but it leaves no room for price movement once you take it.

Trade with leverage ONLY if you know you can take advantage of it, not because you 'feel' it's a good idea and that leverage multiplies your balance lol, it does not.

This is just to have fun today. I hope many newbie traders can learn from this, to know how dangerous leverage can be.

It happened to me many times in the past.

Have you not experienced it before?

Of course, I've done it too... because I was curious, seeing so many of my friends showing off their very short-term earnings from futures trading. At the time, I jumped in without much knowledge. My only capital was money and knowledge of spot trading. When I tried it, I discovered that leverage is a unique feature of futures trading. The higher the leverage, the higher the profit, as well as the risk. So, we must be very careful when using leverage.

Oh wow, actually when I was new to trading I couldn't find any good videos on YT for trading, at least not in my native language or simple enough that explain how and where to begin.

Agree, although I have to caution anyone who trades with a small amount or trade with demo accounts, that when you trade with real and serious capital, the emotions and pressure is totally different.

Spend as much time as need for it. A close friend of mine has been gaining knowledge about the trade for about 3 years but he fails to observe it properly.
To be honest, if someone is not able to figure out trading despite spending 3 years, I think they should stop and try something else. Not trying to be a pessimist but maybe it's not meant for them.
