The bad thing begins with FIFA expansion the slots for World Cup from 32 teams to 48 teams, and the other bad things appeared recent months with geopolitical conflicts and changes in the USA politics recent years. In theory, politics should not be correlated with sports and should not affect sports but we knew life is not based on theory, and in practice there were disappointed bad things like we are witnessing recent days with World Cup 2026.

FIFA even want to expand World Cup to more teams, that is a terrible idea that is only for money, and I hope that it will not be approved and enforced in future World Cups.

So far we cannot complain much about the world cup, this is just the first week and we cannot just conclude anything yet, I hope that after the tournament that it should live up to the expectations that is expected of a well organized world cup.

Our concerns are mostly on what is happening off the pitch where fans, players and an official weren't allowed to enter the host countries yet and there is nothing that FIFA can do about it because the host countries have a right to determine who enters their country or territory. Nevertheless it wouldn't stop us to make predictions about the games and try our luck with some bets.

On the pitch everything has been perfect so far, but what's happening off it is the main concern. Thomas party will not be playing the opening game for the Ghanaian national team because a rape accusation is still on him, so it's because of that he was denied entry into Canada, so this made me wonder why he is being punished when he has not been found guilty.

Fifa should have taken this world cup event to a nation that knows how football works, because by denying fans and even some players entry into the host nations, these controversy off field are diverting our attention from what is really happening on the field of play, and I wouldn't be surprised if more controversies emerge before the end of the tournament, which is going to leave a sour taste to almost all participating nations and even the organizers of it.

We all know how insecurity have eaten deep into the world. I don't think this is just about politics but a measure to help protect citizens and spectators alike. If movement outside the pitch is granted we can't tell what might happen. The case of Iran and US is still very fresh and the is high tendency there might be plans to retaliate, in which if movement is not restricted we might have had casualties even during the world cup.

At home Canada was going in as a hot favorite in ace but the Bosnian gang were sitting back and defending the ace in their den , just as Cryptmuster said. At the end of the 21 minutes of the match Lukic scored a goal from the corner like a super shot. And they are playing very disciplined football today. Anyway, they already drew 1-1 by Larin's goal at 78 minutes

Looking at the current condition on the field, it seems that Bosnia's backline is desperate to maintain their scruffy discipline. So if Canada can not score another goal with a sneak move at the last moment, the match could end 1-1.

By the way, I was busy at work all day yesterday and barely had any time to follow the matches. And I think that this is even good, because I most likely wanted to bet on Switzerland to win with a handicap of -1 and on Brazil to win. Both teams ended up drawing 1–1.

Even as defensive Bosnia was to Canada but they only got this draw because of the failing attempts of Canada but it was almost late when Marsch did a substitute I liked and that was the only way they were able to get the draw through Cyle Larin and immediately he gain the advantage for Canada but his arriving time on the pitch was unfortunate because if he had been on the match from 48 minutes Who knows if Canada could have won Bosnia instead of the draw. Yesterday Switzerland and Brazil match was on my mind so I bet against Qatar and gave Brazil to score two goals but it played against my prediction.

I know that things can't be changed much now that the competition is already on, but at least they should speak up against the irregularities that are going on, in most of the host nations. And most of the participating nations are feeling targeted, especially those Muslims countries. I believe that football should be uniting us, not what should be separating us.

Change is constant, and I don't think that if more nations speaks up, their wouldn't be changed, their will. Of course FIFA as the highest association must take responsibility for what happened. They must fix policies and so on. If they always say keep politics out of football, then they must set an example that they are also consistent with what they say.
 
I understand that football also needs politics, but there are some things that can be sorted out.But what is happening now is that people are politicizing football, when it should not be done.
