Crypto casinos in 2026 and we're still having the same debate — is a Curaçao license enough?
The world has changed a lot. MiCA is live in Europe, regulators everywhere are getting sharper, and players are more aware than ever. Yet the default answer for most crypto casinos is still the same license from the same island it's always been.
My take is that Curaçao isn't really a quality stamp anymore — it's just the path of least resistance. The casinos that actually invest in stronger compliance and transparency are starting to stand out, and players are noticing.
But curious what this community thinks — is the license even something you consider before depositing, or does reputation and payouts matter more to you?
Not trying to generalize what is supposed to be my person opinion (though this is still my personal opinion by the way) but based on experience and all that I've seen in this industry, especially from the gambling community from this platform, I would say that for most, that is for more than 98% or more, reputation and payout matters to us than license.
When we talk about a casino's reputation and payout, licence is the least thing anybody will talk about especially from the gambling community from this forum, I do not know if it's the same thing for other gambling communities from other forums and platforms as well, but it is the case here, this is why some times, there are casinos who even enter and promote on this forum while having no licence of any kind.
Now speaking of Curaçao licence, as far as I know, this licence is completely useless, a licence that does not protect consumers is a useless licence.
