I don't really believe globalization is coming to and end especially this statement below.

Countries no longer prioritize affordability or cheapness, their priorities have shifted to political agreements, security and security.

China and the US, is still doing business like usual and it's the same across the world. Everybody is still trading with each other like it's just another day.

The bilateral agreement you're seeing are the same agreement countries have been building for millenias, it's not a new thing but it's getting spotlight after US is pushing for more bilateral trades between countries.

The computer you're using, parts of it made by japan, korea, and china while the software is made by the USA and Europe. Globalization is nowhere to an end.

Things and priorities will change with time but as far as I can see globalization will never end. It existed since the world was made and we have heard stories about trade in previous times as well. No country is complete and they all rely on each other.

The inflation will exist from time to time and tariffs will merge into by one way or the other but the import and export will increase with the increase in population.

The current scenario of Iran and US conflict has occurred before in a much high voltage and still those countries has not stopped trading with their rivals.

From what we are witnessing in the past two to three years we are seeing a situation were countries are more selfish, and is no longer cooperative with international laws and principles but is only concerned about what they can get . This is the reason why we are gradually seeing more of global tension and war because we are going away from the global order of doing things. International relations has been threatened in the past two years because of greed and personal agendas of countries.

We are now in a global system were countries think about fulfilling and projecting their interest over agreed principles that has be agreed by the UN and other international organizations that has regulated the international system.

I'm not sure who define globalization as working together with other countries to be honest. As far as I can recall, globalization is basically the removal of distance between one countries to another, which means they can interact through other means quite easily. People mentions cultural export, economic partnership, and so on alongside stuff like tariff wars or international sanction since years ago. I feel like OP definition is a bit too limiting and nobody thinks the same way.
Its a very fair point that globalization is better than simply the countries works to gether. Because through globalization, relations among different nations becomes stronger through trade, culture and technology. Improvement in technology and modern pattern of transportation makes much more interactions as compare to before. And through globalization countries get opportunities to exchange ideas, culture on large scale. And Globalization is not only depends on cooperation lonely and a lot of competition and political tensions can me managed to maintain the globalization. So its requires both collaborative and competitive relationships to manage the global issues. And some times many countries prefer there  own interests to links the global direction and globalization can limits such type of mishandling  and make fair policies which follows the benefits of all countries.

I think what you said there are all the same. But globalization seems the word that has multiple meanings. Maybe the appropriate meaning according to us can only depends on the context. But if I can give a few definition, that is globalization is I think like dominating or domination. That is in selfish terms but the other is the opposite. Globalization can also be like socialization. Building connections globally.

Yes. This is what I'm talking about that it can have a multiple meaning. But since we are on the economics section right now, then it is expected that things in the economy are mentioned right there. Things like tariff, export, wars, sanction, etc... OP's definition is limited but I think there are still someone that thinks the same way as him judging on how big the population we have.

Do you really think USA, China and Russia will stop negotiating with each other? Tarrifs are more like blackmail to reach a better agreement in the future, and not exactly to cease economical partnerships.

Indeed, there is a lot of mistrust in the world right now, and even countries which used to be allied are already hostilizing each other, but trade is inevitable in a world where money talks.

The ideology of the world is money.

Which countries that were allied are now turning against each other? The only country I can think of is the USA, which has turned its back on all it's allies. But this is 100% because of the incompetence and ego of the current leader of that country. All the allies are patiently waiting for that orange moron to finally get replaced by someone worth his salt. I do not know whether Trump is a foreign agent whos goal is to sabotage and manipulate his own country but nobody is taking him seriously. Any tariff is met with equal and opposite force.

Surely survival is replacing efficiency, as a result, goods are more expensive, supply chains are duplicates, as we start to see globalization being reduced to nothing. This shift will surely be more evident for the next couple of years

I don't see globalization coming to an end instead what I see is the world getting more global. Few days ago the president of the United States President Donald Trump took some of the billionaires in his country to visit China for them to have some agreement, I did not follow the news completely to understand what they went to agree on but that is a pure sign of globalization still existing as countries are still looking for ways of connecting each other together despite their differences. Every country knows that they cannot do it alone and now we need each other for we to have a vibrant economy and that is why digitalization has helped a lot in achieving full globalization.
