Well regardless of the point that you are pretty much on track I'd just say the whole gist here is just a lengthy expression of both discipline and habits. Your habits as a gambler tells how you are eventually gonna handle gambling activities including how you would risk and how seriously you would take gambling.

A very simple way is to become accepting of the losses you've made. A gambler will continue to chase their losses because they can't accept the fact that they've lost money. And that can disturb their minds that it shouldn't be like that, it shouldn't end like that as it's unexpected. I see many people spending so much time on physical betting platforms in my location. Some of them leave their home in the morning and sit down in these physical casinos, analysing and placing bets. I still prefer what the OP said about it which is having budget. The person should try that first, but if it does not work, he can stop gambling. Know that there are people that are not addicted that are chasing losses, also. This topic will be for such people, not people that are addicted already.
