I personally believe that Trump has set his ego aside by attempting to negotiate peacefully in order to improve the U.S. economy. And it seems that the U.S. conflict with Iran has had a significant impact, where it forcing Trump to seek China’s assistance in addressing the blockage of the Strait of Hormuz given that Beijing has ties with Tehran so far. What are your thoughts?

This will be one of the things that they will talk about, but also they will talk about trades and tariff. With time, what they talk about will unfold.

It is worth knowing that there is a thread in politics and society board since Trump left United States yesterday. This is the thread:

Trump has left the US!

JUST IN: 🇺🇸🇨🇳 President Trump says China agreed to buy 200 Boeing $BA planes.

Yet the Boeing stock is plummeting.
So usual shenanigans. Nothing new.

Based on the several media reported, the meeting between United State president Donald Trump and China president Xi Jinping was held in the context of a summit and this meeting discussed trade wars, the conflict with Iran and geopolitical issues. So far still not any significant impact exactly for cryptocurrency price or stock but most waiting for the result achievement after both team meet.
Personally its good way and bring positive impact for global economic during high intention for both countries after United State adopted high import tariff for Chine's product, we must waiting for the release agreement deal achieve by both president between United and China hope can bring positive way to reduce conflict at Iran. Maybe one or two days later we can get the new conference pers release between United State or Chine government announce to the public what the achievement after two top president meeting.

This visit by Trump and the reception by Xi Jinping is geared for a win win situation, because I believe the U.S is concerned about her economy and China wants to be seen as a savior to this escalating war ongoing in Iran because of the influence they have in that region.

Trump is finally thinking with his head instead of thinking with his guns, because this is a pragmatic play that may usher in a new chapter between the two largest economies of the world.

Trump visit to China is an important event for the world, but I don't think it's good to welcome him. Especially, there is a lack of sincerity on the part of China. US President Trump was welcomed at the Beijing airport by Vice President Han Zheng. I think President Xi Jinping should have gone to welcome him at the airport to show Trump the highest respect.

China is one of the most powerful countries after the United States and the US administration considers China as an adversary. The two countries have not yet engaged in direct conflict, but the two countries have been engaged in an economic war for a long time. China did not take Trump policy on tariffs very well. China and Russia gave full support to Iran after the war started. Iran and Middle East policy may be more important in the talks between Trump and Xi Jinping. I think China will not agree to any decision that takes a stand against Iran. China is one of the world's most economically powerful countries, they formulate their policies with more emphasis on the economic aspect than on the use of force.

He's already welcomed by Xi and that's a good gesture of Xi welcoming his visitors and that's already enough. As China is also allies with Iran, I hope that there will be a discussion in ending the war in the gulf region. Trump going to China also shows who's dominant here and who's needing who. I wish to see that their bilateral meeting to come up with something good for both US and China and as well as its allies.

You haven't put the link.

China is in many ways taking over America and is simply much more stable. It's a sad reality of the corporatism that has infested everything and made billionaires suck ups to the US president because they both corruptly help each other. There used to be a reasonable separation of politics and government - of course the government would stick up for US business interests but the current "leader" is doing so much self sabotage to the country. This means China's slow and steady march will continue. It has all of the resources that it previously exported and now develops in house to make itself richer. It can think along much longer timescales because it is not distracted by the petty infighting between only two political parties in America, where politicians make the people hate each other so they don't bring down the billionaires that back them.

He did not fly all the way from the United States of America to China along side billionaires/CEO and not seem to be happy also they have media training so you should not be surprised that he seemed happy.
Trump can put aside differences for business, trade sake., Elon Musk who Trump has had fair share of unpleasant exchanges with was with him for this trip to China.
Even with all the showcase Parade and welcome China gave their visitors if their aim isn't something China likes the talks can lead to no where.

From the list of those which trump actually took there it’s clear that he was definitely going for business talks, with what happened the last time when Tarif talks were supposed to hold it broke a fight between trump and Xi which actually lead to China placing a 125% on US goods and most of this top business men have definitely been caught into the mix including Apple outgoing CEO Tim Cook who was also spotted in the meeting plus Nvidia CEO Jensen Haung who has been having his talks with Xi. One thing they have in common is that they all want something from China and as such Xi has better leverage.

I can say that Trump has used even this Iran War to try to frustrate XI to come to him after they had that quarrel, from taking Maduro of Venezuela after meeting XI to starting a way with Iran as they were growing stronger allies with China to even going to create a blockade after Iran wanted to sell off his oil to China in Yuan.

I so much love how XI welcomed them because if it was Trump after all this quarrel he would have been on the news now telling them China came begging. But we all know that against anything China prioritizes business more

Now we can all see that no country can act independently no matter how powerful they think they are. China and the US have had their differences and competitions, which have often created economic tension. Meetings like this are usually not out of place because even in the midst of their differences, they still need each other to achieve a peaceful resolution which will be in the best interest of both parties.

The differences between these two countries have affected economic activities in these countries and even in other countries. I just wish that this meeting will result in something meaningful and tangible for these countries and for other countries which will be indirectly affected by the resolutions reached.

I believe the trade war disputes between both nations is the reason for the meeting. Last year, after the Busan summit in South Korea, president Trump announced that he would be visiting China. Then, the war between Iran and the US/Israel hasn't broken out. While the main focus will be on the trade dispute, I'm sure they will also discuss about the war since Iran is a Chinese ally.

Yes, it seems Trump has put his ego aside as his trip to China is undoubtedly about finding a way out and securing something he can secure as a political victory. This is especially true now that Washington is facing pressure from the ongoing trade war, escalating geopolitical costs and global energy instability stemming from the Iran conflict. Furthermore, after years of using China as a symbol of threat to the US, Trump has now chosen to go to China to seek what he failed to secure through embargoes, sanctions and internal sabotage.

On his trip to China, Trump arrived with 20 CEO and an economic deal agenda and Xi Jinping greeted him with a single sentence that immediately set the tone for the entire discussion China wants to partner. Interestingly Xi Jinping chose to talk about partnership and cooperation rather than the Iran-US war. So, it can be concluded that this is also a signal to Iran, China strategic partner. It seems China wants to convey that it will not abandon Iran, but it also won't allow the conflict to disrupt its much larger economic interests with the US. In this case China is playing both sides at once and Xi Jinping is doing it very well. From here we can also conclude that in geopolitics pure sincerity never exists only interests exist.

I am sure we have all seen the news of the meeting, what everyone would be looking forward to are the implications and results of this high stake meeting between Washington and Beijing.

A couple of issues would be brought up in this meeting, but i think the most crucial of all would be their trade relationship. These are the two largest economies in the world, so collaboration would benefit them both, rather than a trade/tariff war.

China is the biggest customer of Iranian oil, so definitely the Iran v U.S. war would also be discussed as the implications concern China too, though i doubt Iran would reopen the Strait until the terms of resolution is "fair" to them.

The US finds itself in a position where it needs the assistance of China. Top US officials have publicly asked for US assistance in the opening of the Strait of Hormuz. The US Secretary of State Marco Rubio and the Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent have appealed to China to use its influence on Iran to open that important passage. The US thought that the blockage of the Strait would choke the Chinese oil supply in the Middle East, thereby forcing them to intervene. China was more prepared for this because they have stockpiled enough oil, diversified supply chains, and increased domestic production.

I watched one of the meetings where Trump was showering praises on Xi Jinping, calling him a great leader. Trump has set off a global fire that he cannot quench. Now he is seeking the help of China to extinguish it. China knows that Trump cannot be trusted, so they will be cautious of any deal that will be placed on the table.

From the look of things, Trump needs Xi Jinping more than the latter needs him.

Talking about Hormuz is no longer making sense. Iran was blocking it, but US was also blockchain Iranian ports with their Navy. So i think he is not going to China to just ask Xi to open Hormuz.

Beside that Trump brings so many CEO of big US companies with him in China. So i think he's talking about the business relationship between US and China. I guess what he's been doing is just a business trip.

His last visit to China was 2017. I think China knows that if he has to go home with something on his hand. It can be a trade deals or something similar.

...
The U.S. President reportedly just met with Xi Jinping. A grand welcome ceremony was held in Beijing in honor of Donald Trump. And Trump seemed very pleased with the reception he received. But this meeting is quite contradictory given the frequent disputes between the leaders of these two superpowers. Some media news have linked the meeting to the trade war between the two countries. But others have linked it to the U.S. conflict with Iran. The White House stated that the meeting was to discuss ways to enhance economic cooperation.

Hmm, you are right here, as I also believe that this meeting is a perfect contradictory reflection and is a play of politics. What news and sources are telling that they arranged this meeting to enhance the best relationship between both countries and to plan such steps that can boost both countries' economies. But I am expecting more important things here that should be an Iran-US conflict solution through some edge. As we all know, these days the whole world is suffering the result of the conflict between these two countries in the form of inflation.

The stoppage of the war is more important than any other topic at the current time. Well, as far as i now that, there is no official announcement of such kind of discussion between the two countries, and even no meida cover and discloses any new information regarding this matter. Or maybe I am missing this part of the update here. Have they discussed anything on this matter? If so, I would like to know.

Trump met with Xi Jinping
Yes, all local and international media on the front page published this exciting news about the meeting between President Donald Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping, the world recognizes that this meeting is very important, The reason is that the world knows that the two countries have been at odds for years, of course over various issues such as intellectual property, economics, technology and so on.

In my opinion, if the two of them meet to establish cooperative relations in the fields of economics, technology, trade and more positively globally, this indicates a good step internationally and vice versa, The meeting for nuclear weapons and the continuing war against the Middle East is bad globally, I hope the meeting between the two can bring a better global economy in the future.

China is now demonstrating its power. Several heads of state have visited China this year, and now Trump is visiting. Xi Jinping is demonstrating his power. He doesn't need to go anywhere, but presidents from other countries must come to China.

This also shows that Xi Jinping seems to be humiliating Trump and trying to pretend even though China is actually demonstrating its power. Starting from the handshake when the two met, Xi Jinping hand was on top while Trump's was on the bottom. Furthermore, at the airport Trump was greeted by the vice president not Xi Jinping himself even though Trump arrived in China with some of the most powerful business leaders in the US.

Furthermore, Iranian negotiators refused to meet with Trump envoy. Even German politician Friedrich Merz openly stated that Trump was being humiliated by China. Trump is now facing a major crisis similar to the one they were facing in Vietnam, where they were facing domestic and foreign political pressure. Currently Trump is also facing the same thing, so Trump lowered his ego to be able to fly to China which is currently a competitor of the US.

I hope the meeting between the two can bring a better global economy in the future.

The summit between the two superpowers has concluded, and Trump has also left Beijing. Let's wait and see what both sides announce after two day of talk.

Im not very optimistic because, in reality, they are competing with each other and have many disagreements, ranging from trade and war in the Middle East to the Taiwan issue.
According to the news I've read, Xi Jinping has flatly rejected Trump's proposal to stop buying Iranian oil. Trump said, China has bought a lot of oil from Iran and wants to continue doing so.

I predict that Trump will gain almost nothing from this trip.
