You are completely wrong on what you just said above. Because Bitcoin is actually a cryptocurrency, and infact, it is the first cryptocurrency to ever exist. Because the word cryptocurrency is used to refer all digital that is secured by cryptography, whose transactions are independent of its own, recorded on the blockchain, and used for peer-to-peer, which no government or central bank has no control over it. And Bitcoin Is one of the cryptocurrencies that we have, the strongest and the one with the highest market capitalization among them all, which was created by an anonymous fellow Satoshi Nakamoto in 2009. While we also have the word "Altcoins" which means alternative cryptocurrencies that are not Bitcoin e g Ethereum, Ripple and Solana.

I think that at this point where the knowledge of bitcoin has spread worldwide, some truths are certain that many people can in my estimation distinguish bitcoin from other cryptocurrencies and may use crypto to refer to
Bitcoin interchangeably but they certainly know the distinction. Second is that they know this because it is easier to get into other cryptocurrencies than bitcoin.

yes I agree Bitcoin is part of a cryptocurrency, but this is technically because Bitcoin uses a cryptographically based protocol, but fundamentally Bitcoin is starting to separate itself.
But don't get too confused by the opinion of whether Bitcoin is crypto or not, the most important thing now is how one can maximize the use of Bitcoin and crypto, making it safer with more education for laypeople.
