I suggest we should never give our personal information to AI. Just to point out, these days the security system is different than the one in question. It's very basic security risk, not mandatory related to AI, and passwords must be backed up in password manager softwares (open source), on user devices, and if possible offline.

Backing up passwords in emails, and any online storage such as Google Drive, Dropbox, anything similar is very risky, because such platforms can be hacked, can have data breaches, and your sensitive information such as passwords can be lost too.

It's more dangerous if people use a same password for multiple accounts and on different platforms, if one platform is hacked, many of their accounts can be compromised.

The world is full of stupid people and there's no cure for stupidity. I'm sure that many people use AI as some sort of "digital friend" or "digital mentor", which is totally retarded, but we can't do anything about it. People get manipulated by AI nowadays. AI psychosis is a thing.
Just use 20-character long passwords, that are full with random letters, symbols and numbers and pray to God, so that AI does not become smart enough to bruteforce them. Perhaps we could use one AI to create our super long and complex passwords, so that the competing AI won't be able to retrieve them.
If AI is able to retrieve our passwords just by analyzing our online fingerprints, then it's time for us to delete our online posts, discussions, emails, etc. I'm not sure that this could help, but at least we could try.

For example, in the case of that man, he gave Claude 1GB of data and let it analyze it. It's understandable that Claude could guess it, as that's a lot of data, and Claude can find patterns that could be the password.

If I gave Claude all my notes and sensitive data, he might be able to guess most of them. But I'm not stupid to let AI analyze all my sensitive data and find out everything about me.

It's still a powerful tool though, if it were human we will need entire month to just analyze all the data but AI with a million context or more can process that data within minutes.
It could also find clue and hint that our human eyes won't pick up easily. By the way, you can subscribe to a plan where it IS stated that they won't use your data to train on their frontier model.
Enterprises always subscribe to this plan and doesn't seem to have leak of data so far. Still, you can never be too paranoid those data will be stored somewhere else. so, never give out any personal data regardless.
