If privacy is truly important for you, how much does exchange (crypto-to-crypto) fee actually matter?

Would a difference between 0.5% and 1.5% affect your choice of a privacy-focused instant exchange?

Or are factors like:
— no KYC/AML
— speed
— clean UX
— reputation
more important than the fee itself?

Curious to hear real opinions from people who actually use these services regularly.

Well, for me privacy matters; I just do not have any other choice but to choose a centralized exchange since most instant exchanges do not support most of the fiat currency.

However, if there's instant exchange privacy-focused exist that supports our fiat with 1.5% fees, why not use them?

♻️ Automatic Exchange

If we're talking about a well established exchange that has never requested a user for KYC details when processing transactions... although this may not be for everyone, that exchange would definitely have a strong userbase even if it was charging 2 or 3% per transaction. It's not for everyone though, some people want to get the most out of their crypto, others are swapping life changing sums of money and don't want to go through the headache of CEXes in general.

If we're talking about fiat support in a privacy-oriented exchange model, I’m afraid the real cost would probably be much higher than 1.5%.
Our question was more about crypto-to-crypto swaps specifically. But thanks for sharing your perspective, it’s actually a very interesting point.

forum members; privacy and no KYC/AML compliance might be paramount, followed by reputation, fees, and a clean UX.
cryptocurrency users on Telegram; a clean UX, fees, or reputation might be them choose factors.

Instant exchange should enable automatic swaps once the necessary confirmations are received.

We’ve experimented with different types of promotion early on, like many new projects do.
But long term, real users and actual reputation matter far more to us than social metrics.

No.
Some social promotion activities are handled through third-party marketing channels, so I can’t really comment on every detail there.

So you got an email from some guy in India who offered to boost your social media following, you agreed, and now you’re getting follows and likes from empty accounts based in Pakistan, Nigeria, and Kenya

I wonder if, just like you buy likes and followers, you’ll start buying reviews on various platforms? Monerica, Trustpilot and others like that?

1.5% is too good to be true for crypto to fiat; even 3% is acceptable; however, because you stated that this is a crypto to crypto exchange, if USDT exists, it remains a better option for non-KYC exchanges. There are a few of them right now, but there is no guarantee of KYC, although they promise not to ask for it.

Are you planning to create an exchange? Trust is crucial, and it can only be achieved if you escrow funds on a trusted escrow service here on the forum and hire a campaign manager..

Privacy will be the top priority if there are two options. When it comes to the difference in fees charged, those who prioritize privacy aren’t too concerned about the percentage of fees they have to pay for a transaction.
When a country requires all exchanges to go through KYC to be able to use the exchange—meaning there’s no loophole to avoid it—I think other factors come into play, and the percentage amount is also a consideration.

Protect your privacy 🔏 it's very important

It depends on the situation; for trading, I have been using centralised exchanges. This means my privacy is already broken there; withdrawing funds from that exchange to the personal address means it's traceable through the exchange. Probably even they could transfer data to the legal authority if necessary.

But when I need privacy, then the fees don't matter. Sometimes I really don't want to mix my funds, like trading funds and personal holdings. So when I intend to hold something or care about privacy, then I use instant exchange. It doesn't matter the fees, but it needs to be highly reputed and have no KYC as well. Unless it's trusted, I don't use it, actually.

Privacy is always more important. If a truly anonymous no-kyc system was more expensive than a centralized/no-privacy system, I would prefer the no-kyc/anonymosu one to the other one. It is hard to find whose anonymous/no-kyc exchanges lately but I can see that we still have a few options around. (they are running sig camps in the forum) I am not doing many trades every day so I don't really need centralized exchanges like binance...

if i have the option between 2 NO KYC exchanges with good reputation, i'm going with the one charging the lower fees.

overall, what matters for me is in this order:

1. reputation
2. no KYC/AML
3. fees
4. speed
5. clean UX

Competition between platforms will be fierce, with fees between 0.5% and 1.5%. Promoting services will be difficult if fees are at or above 1%. 3% is only acceptable for XMR deposits and withdrawals and platforms that accept any transaction without freezing.

Privacy matters especially if it's unlinking your crypto wallets from transfers or p2p transactions with other users. While i will still use kyc required exchange for the crypto to fiat conversion as there are lots of offers and good rates when doing p2p on those platform, as per my experience.
