I agree that having the right mindset about gambling helps gamblers make better gambling choices. Imagine doing the right thing but for the wrong reason, it'll basically be the same as doing the wrong thing, so even if there's really nothing wrong with gambling, how a person chooses to approach gambling can really make the whole thing look like a very bad thing, and thus becomes very easy to make mistakes or drift off course.

First of all, I'm a draw specialist, so I don't think I will bet on the World Cup tournament. However, I have already decided to take a break and refreshing for some time, because we all know how hard it is to predict draws, talk les of this World Cup tournament.

So the only good thing I can do for myself is to be patient and wait for the next season to start before I start my predictions. Anyways, let's see how it goes.

Nope, as long as I love the game I will probably bet on it not just because it's a major event. I think it's really great to just bet on it considering it's much easier to really place your bets on your favorite team and not just randomly and besides it's really great and at the same time you get that morale lifted even if you're just watching. I think I can make an exception for this one in the future.

In theory should be easier to win in such leagues but as we have seen many times a lot of surprise results have happened there thus not giving guarantees to anyone that it is as easy as people think. Personally I have chosen to play a bet today in not major or well known leagues like Premier League but a game in Finland 2 where Haka ex Champions are facing last place, I see more value in this bet than in Arsenal over goals or both teams to score. Maybe it becomes a losing one but to me this is the best bet for today.

Nope, as long as I love the game I will probably bet on it not just because it's a major event. I think it's really great to just bet on it considering it's much easier to really place your bets on your favorite team and not just randomly and besides it's really great and at the same time you get that morale lifted even if you're just watching. I think I can make an exception for this one in the future.

The increased adrenaline rush when your favorite team plays is a great incentive why so many people would prefer to remain engaged in betting. The move not to take random bets shows that you have a great appreciation of the quality of the personal competition you are in. We can agree that it is worthwhile to mark a special event, and the further exceptions will give your experience of a devoted follower of football a special touch.

I don't usually do sports betting much. I honestly enjoy casino and slot games more. But yes I want to bet on the World Cup this time, because the vibe of the World Cup is different. Watching matches with friends and having a little fun bet increases the excitement even more.

Quite agreeable. A lot discussions pertaining gambling is often heavily biased towards winners, and I figured out this is often because losers are barely openly discussed. This shifts the attention of a lot of people to from the high possibilities of losses to the only seeing the big wins, since that’s what’s mostly shared everywhere. This calls for having a realistic mindset and accepting that losses are inevitable and avoidable as long as gambling is concerned, as this helps gamblers remain balanced emotionally and also avoid making silly mistakes.

I honestly havent been placing more bets than usual just because its a huge contest and if I do place any bet at all its a nominal amount that I probably wouldn't mind losing but I will always try to get soem good wagers placed

Better to place bet with the mindset that you can lose the game or even win the game, as your emotions won't have to affect your mental health and your bankroll that much, unlike some players who don't care about their bankroll, they only gamble as much their urge wants and this can cause them to have financial issues. And anyone who is capable to place a bet within their budget is likely to face any future destruction, as they will separate themselves from anything that will want to lure them into making any decision that will harm their bankroll.

I fell as if that is counter intuitive.  You should always emit waves of the desire to win. If you think you will win at least at the end of the day you can have the satisfaction that you tried your very best. A losing mindset is for losers. Winners dont always win, they do always try to though, especially with their thoughts

I can definitely agree on that much more if they are the underdog and they managed to win or even just made the game interesting. Even if I'm new to sports betting I think I'll go bet the next time and go all in with their next game/s. I haven't done that before as I really bet randomly, more like just appreciation of the game but I think reading through here I've got an idea for the next FIBA or Olympics, well, unless our country really made it or I'll lean to another one. For the World Cup, it would be great to back an underdog like Morocco from the last World Cup in Qatar or Croatia from the World Cup in Russia and manage to get the right odds; it would be a massive payout. As for the final, I think it’ll be between Brazil, Germany and England.

I agree with both of you, but I think in reverse order of your discussion. The hype, the increased odds discussions and the continuous social media promotion of major games typically draw more bettors. The issue is that most gamblers just concentrate on the winners and the big wins, and the multitude of losers is out of sight. This leads to the impression that it is more likely to win than it really is. This can cause unrealistic expectations and emotional betting for newbies particularly. To me, wagering on big events is all about disciple, money management and knowing that a bad call doesn't necessarily mean you will lose all your money.

This is the part that got my attention. People has lost fortunes, reasonable amount of money just in a day all because of they just couldn't hold back or control themselves with the magnitude of fun they got in a particular game. However when you can stop as of when due is when you are considered a wise and smart gambler, no amount of fun should jeopardize your safety else after all is over you will leave in regrets and pain all through your life. Personally, big tournaments like the World Cup are not really my main focus. I feel more comfortable with the Premier League, Serie A, La Liga, Bundesliga, Champions League, and Europa League since those competitions are much easier to analyze. But since the World Cup only comes around every four years, skipping it entirely seems like a waste. The tricky part is that national teams are harder to predict, so extra caution is a must before placing any bet.
