FIFA 2026 World Cup/Ticket Discussion Thread.

They are expecting spectators to come for the World Cup, and perhaps this means easier entry into the US. Considering the problems this could create, I'm sure not all spectators will be approved. The US will accept spectators who are deemed problem-free and risk-free. It's certainly possible they could be a little more flexible for this World Cup.

What I'm thinking about most is the Iranians. How will they manage to get in? If they, in particular, are going to the World Cup, I imagine the checkpoints that must be set up just for them. Besides, the USA is very strict about who can and can't enter; that's a fact. I don't know what measures they might implement. Supposedly, visas granted will be the best option, but this could change depending on how they plan their security.

Iran is one team that their entry into the tournament was hanging in a balance because of their war with the U.S and U.S being a part of the host country may not receive them well, even as they have tried telling FIFA to replace the team with another team but it's quite not a possibility according to FIFA rules and regulations.

The 2022 world cup in Dubai was very contained due to how strict their religion and laws permit.
It was compact and not too stressful for the players because of the proximity of the stadiums.
With the 2026 world cup however, things are very different. We have 48 teams, round of 32 and eight matches to the final instead of the seven we saw last.
Let's not forget the new countries to be added which are Curacao, Cape Verde, Jordan and Uzbekistan. Who knew these countries could qualify and can play so well, but am definitely not betting on them getting to the round of 32.

That is not an issue to worry about. Iranian Football Federation (IFA) asked FIFA to reschedule all their matches in Mexico and Canada and if FIFA didn't reschedule the matches for Iran, they will know what to do. And if Iran is going to US to play, they will be under the FIFA security protection. And if Iran is going there, they will go with few fans that can help them runs things. And it is only when they are playing in Mexico and Canada that fans will be many. Because of the FIFA high tickets and USA strict policy on the World Cup, the population in the stadiums will not be much.

All these many restrictions, I think all this will actually break the spirit of the competition and that's why I would have loved it better if the Iranian team was not going because this whole issue of war between the USA and Iran is just gonna make things alot hitted and if there is one thing I know Donald Trump for, it's that he doesn't take his enemy likely and he for sure doesn't like Iranian one bit at all.

That your prediction is not too bad because they were the National Team who played with Argentina and they didn't an incredible good in the final. And they took second in the tournament and they will like to win the trophy this tournament. My instinct is telling me that Argentina will not win this tournament trophy. The falling of the performance of some of the major Argentine players have presented a mouth watering opportunity to teams such as France to wrest back their supremacy in the global arena. North American standard of living is one of the key elements that predetermine high prices of attending stadiums. Although the infrastructure there is very great, fans will have no option other than reaching further into their pockets to have a chance to watch historic matches live.

Irrespective of their national and political differences, football is a uniting factor, so there is every tendency that both nations would resolve their difference within the short time of the World Cup tournament, so that there would not be any escalations, as that could likely lead to incitement but I believe FIFA as a body must have put inplace measures to forestale any unforseen event that could occur while the Iranian team are live on the pitch.

These things are a bit awkward not only for Iran but for the entire competition. Since this is a sport, no kind of war or anything like that should be involved. It should be neutral ground where politics shouldn't have any power. For that reason, security should be the most important thing the USA guarantees, and the right of Iranian fans to enter should be the same as for all the teams, because otherwise it doesn't make sense that the USA organized it. It should be like that.

I'd say Spain wins it just the same way they did that year. They have just the perfect set of players and manager to win it.

It's going to be tough for Iran if FIFA rejects their request to change location. Because the players and staff will be under 24hr watch and surveillance. They won't even have privacy for themselves, even the phones they will carry to the United States might also be confiscated because of security reasons. I hope FIFA can really accept their request, because it will be unfair if they pull out from the world cup at the very last minute. I even heard that their fans are also banned from coming to the United States. My question is who will now cheer them up. It looks weird to play without having your supporters at your back. I hope there could be a fast solution to this because we are just days away from the world cup.

If it's indeed as you say, but things in sports shouldn't involve wars or politics. It's a completely different arena from what happens in the rest of the world. Athletes, in this case footballers, and their fans should have the same rights as everyone else from any country, because this is a competition where there shouldn't be any colors, religions, or politics. All of that should be kept out of it. It's difficult, but they should manage it that way.

That price is too much for the poor who would manage to go and watch the live match and the average surviving citizens to pay and watch. It would have been better the US Government and it Football Association, make things easier for the interesting visitors and citizens to pay little amount and watch the live matches. Some of the tickets I saw are too much in the World Cup. They don't want crowd in the World Cup and probably because FIFA has made enough money so they don't want much people to go and watch their World Cup games again. Even the aftermath COVID 19 World Cup was not expensive as this.

Frankly speaking, I don't know why things in the united states are always different. other countries that hosted the FIFA world cup did not make their tickets this expensive.  And if the united states intentionally increased the price of the FIFA world cup ticket just because they don't want crowd it doesn't make sense to me.  Fans are the people who make football fun, if a country is playing and there are only few a fans sheering them it won't motivate the players, what motivate players is the sound coming from the crowd not just a few people.

Iran would definitely participate in the World Cup, and I had sensed the US wouldn't kick against it because if they had done that, it would be against the spirit of sportsmanship, and also likely the same reason why the Iranian government did not reject going for the World Cup tournament.

This week, the white house was under attack and the perpetrator was shot and died in the hospital. Now with all these that is happening, US will have a tight security in this period of the World Cup across the major cities in the Country. And this will make the security vote funds increase in US and probably that is why the tickets and other fees are on the high side.

The World Cup is far approaching and it is only 18 days are left to kick off the tournament. I don't know if this World Cup will be interested like the previous World Cup. Things were hitting up before the World Cup started in the previous World Cup but everywhere is bored I. This World Cup.

The World Cup ticket is very expensive and a lot of people will not go to the World Cup because of the ticket price and I don’t think they will think about reducing the price of the ticket anymore, FIFA just wants to make huge profits from this World Cup competition and it’s really not fair because people really want to go to the World Cup but with the high price of tickets a lot of people will not go.
As for winning the World Cup I really don’t know the country that will do that because a lot of teams are very good with very good players so any country can win the World Cup competition and since my country didn’t make it to the World Cup I will find a country to support.

True that the World Cup is fast approaching, and with the unfolding events in the US now, security would be tightened up for a proper scrutiny of tourists coming into the US for the tournament, even athletes too would not be exempted from it, as everyone would have to pass through the security check before they enter the States.

What you have said is likely the reason why the ticket prices are likely high because they would need to get funds for security matters, as it concerns the World Cup. Reasons being that people from all around the world would be coming in, so to make sure they are well protected, they would need to up their security systems and provide more hands to aid in protecting foreigners and their citizens from external factors.

I don't see many people from this forum going to the World Cup, so that those who are actually buying/bought the ticket have a place to discuss the potential issues. Also, if you want people to stick to ticket conversations, you should have made it self moderated so you can delete offtopic.

No one know which of the country will win this year FIFA world cup 2026, world the ticket is still ongoing, the aspect that captivates me most is about the reservations and packages that come along with the purchase of ticket, there is also priority to the tear in which you wanted to sit after you must have decided on this based on the amount you can afford to use in buying a specific tier category ticket.

For different countries clubs to qualified for the FIFA world 2026 season, it will be hard for people to know who will lift this trophy this season, because looking at some countries club some of their international players will be coming home to join their country players club to battle this trophy will make this season trophy to be clear who to lift this trophy until they start the tournament before it will be easy for people to predict whol to secure the trophy at the end.

I don't think buying of ticket to register will be an issues to any club or fans to watch the game all through, because many clubs and fans are ready to follow this tournament all through to know who will get to final stage which is the hope of many clubs right now in this tournament.

This forum is large so we can't say nobody is going to watch the world cup live. There are football lovers here who will like to participate in the live stadium, mostly those who are in the hosting countries. If my country was among the hosting countries, definitely I would have entered the stadium to watch live matches.

Afrobeats at the top of the game and Burna Boy one of the best and highest exporters of Afrobeats and Afrofusion comes with the vibes and great words of wisdom for the young and talented chasing their dreams. The both of them made a good match and Burna Boys voice matches Shakira's.

They're not as quality as they were when they won the FIFA world cup competition during 2018. This should be his last by the way, one of the hardworking few who won playing and also coaching.
