As for me the only African countries that I know we do very well in the world cup are Senegal and Morocco these two countries are doing very well and I believe they will do better in the world cup they are going to show good level of performance and they are going to surprise a lot of people I trust is two countries and I believe these two countries will go far in the world cup tournament as for the rest countries in Africa that are going to the world cup they may even be disqualified in the group stage because they are playing rubbish they are not even worthy of going to the world cup I still don't understand why Nigeria is not going to the world cup because with the level of good players that Nigeria have they were supposed to go to the world cup but because of their unseriousness in the qualifiers match that was why they could not make it.

I agree with you. Besides, I really like the style of African teams. Senegal plays spectacular football, and I think Morocco also has a great team. I still think it's a shame that Nigeria isn't there; for me, Nigeria is one of the benchmarks of good African football. However, this is football, and things happen. I have a lot of faith in Senegal, and I also hope that the teams from this beautiful continent will give us that joy of football and win a lot.

Looks not anyone yet updating about what happening for Iraq captain  team Aymen Hussein who investigate by U.S. immigration authorities more than 7 hours, what going on with FIFA and US as the host for World Cup when any players investigating more than seven hours? Its full controversial and poorly bad as the host of World Cup edition and there are not any cases like this the players have been investigated more than seven hours by immigration authorities.

This cases happening yesterday and FIFA still not releasing to the public why US immigration to heavy and investigating the players more than seven hours, I can't believing what happen for Iran national team players when landing at US and exactly have to play at US Stadium?

I didn’t mention any African team simply because I’ve never watched them play, so I have no idea about their strength or performance. Probably some of them are really good and can compete with European and South American teams ^{we’ll see}. Time will tell, but you’re right that we need some “fresh blood” in the World Cup competition.

Most of the African teams which qualified in the World Cup are playing rubbish in the international friendlies and right now I don't know which of them will represent Africa to the quarter final or semi-final because their performances are not encouraging at all. I was expecting Senegal to do well in the international friendlies but they were beaten but I don't know of they will do well in the tournament. European and South American teams played good. Today we have Morocco vs Norway by 20:00:00 (8:00:00). We will know more.

I think it would not be right to judge the current performance of the team by looking at the matches before the start of the World Cup. Senegal and Morocco have shown good strength long ago. They really deserve praise. But the rest of the African countries are trying to play well from their position. Not only Nigeria, there are still many countries that have good players but have been eliminated in the qualifying matches. Because we have to remember that football does not depend only on one good player. For example, a team has very good players in defense but if their striker is not good then the team will not be able to score well despite a lot of effort. Again, if the striker is good but not very good in defense then even if they can score goals, the number of goals conceded may be high. So even though the rest of the African countries have good players, they are losing opportunities due to the lack of a good team.

This is probably because African countries lack coaches who are qualified enough to prepare national teams for world-level championships. Even those African-born players who played for European teams and became coaches after their career don't hurry to return to their country and prefer to live and coach somewhere else, training second or even third-tier teams.

We have never seen such discrimination as this during other prior to every other fifa world cup competition. This is an unfair treatment and it will most definitely affect his game mentally. When he should be alongside his squad training, he is left cornered, this is just wrong.
Apart from this, I have also seen what they're doing to the Iranian national team. They're killing our sport and the head of fifa is as complicated as the president of the United States because I don't know why he is so hesitant over making a decision affecting football players. This hell cringe.

Denmark vs Ukraine yesterday, it wasn't the way we would love to see every game to end, with the Denmark midfielder Erickson collapsing again on the pitch causes tension to every football lovers. I honestly feel for him, such a thing should not be happening to a good player as him, not to anyone even if you're a footballer or not is a bad experience. After the first one I thought it won't happen again not until yesterday's game, hope he's fine. For me I'd advise he retire before it becomes too late, if stopping football will keep him alive then is better that way.

I am sorry to hear about Eriksen horrific incident, this is the second time he has collapsed in a match, I have read many calls from friends of his professional football career for him to consider retirement, and rightly so. Denmark are not participating in the world cup, so it wouldn't be out of place for Eriksen to retire soon after all he is 34 years old, I also just found out that he has been on an Implantable Cardioverter Defibrillator since the first incident.

I am German and I think nobody is underestimating them. Germany doesn't have the team that is a favourite. Germany had a say in many big championships, but this is not one of those when I think they have a realistic chance to win it. There is Spain and there is France, we are not close.

 

I'm not supporting Germany for this world cup. I just mentioned Germany earlier because everyone keep talking about Germany like they're a walkover in this world cup but I don't think it's the case. This is why I don't think they would easily be eliminated in this world cup. My current favorites to win are either France or Spain. Also, I'm supporting Portugal to win as well because this is Ronaldo's last chance to win it.

I agree with you, they are not a walkover. It is not safe how far they will make it. Group stage, they will survive, but against the best teams in the world, I don't think they can handle the competition.
